Hannah Witton posted her birth story. 4 days of labour to end up having a c-section. The woman was so incredibly positive about it and throughout (from the few clips you get to see). Took it in her stride completely and had full confidence in the medical staff etc. Saw her section as a smart option, not something pushed at her. Literally the opposite to Mel in every single way. How the hell are they friends? I wouldn't be able to stand having Mel spewing motherhood shite in my ear.

Not only did she host an art contest in which only one person actually got paid for their time instead of just commissioning someone (which was basically what she wanted to do), but then she goes and critiques the art in the post where she’s announcing the winner???? Sorry I’m late celebrating this, Thomas and his ma have gone to centra to get a chicken fillet roll and a 6 pack of waffles for our dinner so I had a few minutes to sneak out of the attic and take a photo of the dogs so I can pretend I’m part of the family, me da was over yesterday (it’s not breaking any rules, I’m an essential worker) and he’s absolutely delighted with his grandson, he hopes he takes after granda and his first words are “feck off will ye” because if you’ve watched me Youtube youse know he has a mouth like a gutter,
I’m still on maternity leave but I’ve been spending this time copying and pasting shit from the internet to make me look intelligent, and generally just fighting with strangers and lying in bed.

Okay, so I watched Hannah Witton's video and saw the comments....
Bless her, she is actively trying to conceive and being really honest about it. She hasn't been drinking in an effort to improve her chances, but she's done a video drinking again to celebrate 10 years on Youtube through her old Drunk Advice series.
Hannah's response to the comment at the top just illustrates how shit it is - plus she talks about trying to get pregnant repeatedly in the video.
Now, below, Melanie's response is just case in point as to why she is a terrible person. She is making it all about her and her baby. From what I can tell, Hannah is one of Mel's only friends. If this is how she treats her friends, then god help her enemies. It's just thoroughly unkind and thoughtless.
I hope Hannah can see passed it and not take it personally but rather see it for what it is... textbook narcissism.

I went to my hairdressers today and I had to wear a mask, have my temperature taken and they gave me hand sanitiser. I thought it was all a bit extreme since we don’t need to do any of that anymore. Turns out they have cancer patients in on a Tuesday for wig fittings. My point being, I would have had no idea that these people were ill and vulnerable if I walked past them in the supermarket.

1.More garden content = Melanie making Thomas eat a blackberry from the garden as a disposable sacrificial lamb because she doesn’t think it’s safe to do so. Thomas wants her to get back to the kitchen to make marmalade (jam?). She eventually eats one in the wilds of the garden to the sounds of traffic and disgust. He bought her a slutty grandma garden gnome for her birthday. She thinks it embodies her perfectly.
2 Sticks up an exact floor plan of the house.
3. Discusses carpet moth infestation. She had noticed all the larvae round the house but just hoovered them up oblivious. Only when they started to eat the bedsheets off the floor bed ( on the disgusting moth eaten carpet) did she think that maybe something was up. She has sorted the problem by bulk buying the cheapest carpet in the showroom (sponso) which is the same colour and texture of a used bathmat. She thinks the beige carpet will match well to her preferred colour of paint, also beige. Tries to sell a rolled up lawn chair cushion of a mattress ( matching foam strip pillows guUYssss). She thinks a unique selling point for it is the fact that the 3 inches of recycled rubber perfectly muffle the sound of disappointing sex. Target market for the 200euro mattress is the masses of people who have to act like a teenagers in a house they paid over half a million euros for.
4. Tommy takeover. He mispronounces “hearth” repeatedly. He shows all the savings that can be made by shopping in the sticks. Doesn’t rightly know where Loughrea is but it’s a great place to get an overpriced mini stove apparently. Also Donegal lads will deliver anything anywhere for half nothing. WHO KNEW LADS. That 200 euro saving should go a long way. Might cover the cost of the half dozen Yankee candles Mel has to buy a week to cover the smell of rot in the place.
5. They have to replace all the windows but it’s worth it because they found a newspaper that’s older than Thomas and it fuels Melanie’s Harry Potter fantasies. Everything is cheaper in the past. Again WHO KNEW!
6. Next door neighbours are building a house right up against their boundary hedge which is going to be overlooking their garden and directly in the roof of the conservatory. Not exactly the escape to the country vibes Melanie was going for but hey ho.
7. Even with Thomas and his dad doing the majority of the work they have spent 20 grand on what is essentially gutting the place. She’s worried about all the outgoings - again bringing up Thomas student loans ( lest we forget) - but she’s determined to do it on the cheap. She wants to remind the less fortunates that renovating a house isn’t all glamour. Also let’s everyone know what they will be selling the couch and the dresser ( points them out) so keep an eye out on done deal for Thomas's phone number.

I don't understand why she called herself 'anti abortion'? Most pro-choicers don't think abortion is a good thing objectively, and understand how traumatic it can be for everyone involved. And people who are pro-choice dont automatically have an abortion when an unexpected pregnancy comes along. We don't throw a party every time someone has one; we are pro-choice for exactly that reason: we believe abortion should be legal and safe and available to everyone who wants/needs one.
And no melanie, not all abortions are a result of lack of knowledge about contraception. Contraception can fail, people can be SA'd etc.
If you really believe in pro-choice, just leave it at that. You don't need to throw in an addendum to make you look like a good person for saying you'd never have one.

Ok I have been creeping for a looooong time but I had to make an account to comment after all of this. I’m a doctor and her video made my blood boil.
The reason home births and MLUs have lower complication rates is because only very low risk people are allowed to do it. If they think you’re at risk of complications then you have to go to a hospital (like a large baby which could cause issues) so obviously when all of those cases go to hospital then the rate of hospital complications goes up!
Also all the banging on about going for a home birth next time made me laugh. She certainly wouldn’t be allowed. In the same way she wasn’t allowed go MLU this time. Now she has a history of a large baby, a fórceps delivery, third degree tear and a major PPH. No midwife would undertake doing that in an unsupported environment because in obstetrics the biggest risk factor for any obstetric complication is having a history of that complication and these are all big risk events! Midwives are fantastic and I have so much respect for them but when shit hits the fan even they need some back up and support.
Finally (almost finished I swear), if she hadn’t had medical intervention by those doctors either herself, the baby, or both would have died. He would have become distressed and possibly hypoxic and she would have exsanguinated because the only reason she ‘only’ lost 1.3 L is because there was a ..you guessed it.. trained team of doctors and midwives there to stop the bleeding. I am so over this whole anti doctor rhetoric she’s pushing

nope, she is wrong. They’ve been testing out these drugs since last January on thousands of test subjects after figuring out their sequence in November 2019. She was the one calling for herd immunity, THATS how herd immunity happens the people who can take the vaccines do so it protects the people who can’t. I understand the hesitation but if she was as well read as she claims to be then she wouldn’t have a problem.

Research has been going on for them for decades in things like rabies, Zika and CMV. Cancer research has used mRNA to trigger the immune system to target cancer cells. mRNA is a “spike protein” so when it’s given to the body your cells make that protein and remembers it doesn’t like it and it doesn’t belong there so the next time it shows up it knows to fight against it.
