Still getting #gifted treatments. It’s alright for some!
Bragging about 'living her best life' getting pampered for free and living luxuriously while doing absolutely nothing to have earned it, during a global pandemic where people are literally fighting to oxygen to breathe just boggles my mind, I know it isn't her fault but just wow the world is so unfair. I think I need to unfollow

Her vlogmas should be titled: vlogmas, but make it sepia. Snapshots from a depression addled mind*.

* I have a depression addled mind.

Also: NO, Alice, we / the world are not at a standstill. YOU are at a standstill. Most of us have had to continue on with work as if the pandemic were not raging, and countless healthcare workers have had to continue working right alongside the pandemic.
For the vast majority of the world life is continuing on. You’re just sitting around waiting for everything to end so you can start sporadically posting again.

Also, I see your vlogmas money grab for exactly what it is — cashing in on the most lucrative time of the year and a way to keep your channel monetized since you’ve been inactive for so long. Bore off.

I don't mean to always try to turn this into a rave thread lol but I wish she would just start vlogging again, not even super edited, moody, BB ripoff type of vlogs, just like the old school youtube ones. Even if it's just her walking her dog and cooking. She has a calm genuine presence that is nice to see in videos.

that apparently lots of people had been asking for? riiiight. I love books, watch some booktube too. Alix is not who I am going to go to for book reccomendations...

Also amusing that browsing a bookstore and just picking up books that appeal to her is a new idea. Wild idea to not just read what's trendy.
I wouldn’t take book advice from someone who chose to display their books with the spines inward to create an aesthetically~ pleasing bookcase:rolleyes:

I really don’t understand what she has to be so stressed/anxious about when she doesn’t actually do anything? And in the current climate it all feels a bit tone deaf. Many people have had mental health issues over the last year or so, unfortunately they don’t have the luxury of being able to take that amount of time off work.

Lol aren’t the Sunday blues felt by people with actual jobs they have to show up for and complete work for? Like “I’m nervous for another week of work” not “I’m nervous for another week of pretending I have work”
Does she even pretend to work though?!
I can’t believe how tone deaf she’s been this entire year. As someone her age with a full time job, it’s quite offensive to see her making out like she’s busy and working 🤷🏻‍♀️

Once again I think people just continue to underestimate just how much even a mid tier Instagram influencer can earn from one basic post, let alone a campaign or multiple ads for multiple big name brands over the years. Add to that your affiliate links, etc., AND the fact that Alix has been in this for a long time and had a relatively successful YT channel as a guru at the height of its popularity which would have earned her bags of money. So yeah, she can afford rent in London lol especially with her boyfriend contributing half of it.

I’ll say it again— they earn obscene amounts from ONE post alone.

This is a common theme in almost every thread over the years I’ve read from YTers to Influencers, guessing at what the secret stash of money it is that they must have, trying to work out how they can afford to live where they do, etc. Guys... there’s a common denominator here and it’s the industry. It pays you buckets of money and once you’ve earned a spot/audience, you don’t have to even work consistently.

The 5-day work week is a scam and good on her if she doesn't have to work like us regular folk, but to do so only when it's convenient for her and when she's reliant on shilling products to her followers is not right. If she's not loyal to us, why be loyal to her? She's never been consistent with YouTube and at this point, she never will be. I wonder how much she even still enjoys it.

I know it's easy for me to say what I would do in someone else's position when I have no idea what it's like to be them...but man if I was her, or any kind of influencer I'd be hustling so hard while the influencer bubble still exists and you can still make insane amounts of money for doing the bare minimum. I love Alix but it kind of kills me inside knowing I have to work for several weeks or months to make what she can make in one sponsored IG post.

I legit don’t get what she needs all this time for to contemplate during 29. It’s not even 30 🤣🤣 all the rest of us contemplated our lives just fine while also working. Like sorry. You are not special, Alix.

I really used to root for her and felt a bit bad posting here. I thought deep down she was a decent person, just a bit unreliable with posting which was a bit frustrating. But this just pissed me off so so sorry. It’s so insulting to the average person, especially during these times.
