Hi all, I am kind of new here. I have visited the page often after I found it I didnā€™t feel so bad about how badly I wanted to high five these 2 with a brick. i did of course watch the channel a few times then next minute I am seeing, bathroom titles, period WTH I was SHOOK. I kept looking and think noooo Iā€™m misunderstanding this šŸ™ˆ what on gods green earth.
I have an autistic daughter she is 9. She was non verbal until age by 5/6 potty trained by 4 after ALOT of hard hard work. I get so frustrated the level of failure on the parents behalf here it is astounding. Iā€™m sorry but sweet girl knows snack, golf cart and weā€™ll anything good related it seems - simple basic requests most likely learned through repetition most importantly follow through. I taught my daughter many of her routines by constant constant repetition. All this people stare due as they donā€™t understand autism is rubbish it is a human reaction to look not at A because of autism not at all but the noise, flying arms, slapping. I feel so bad that for her as she is completely and utterly at the mercy of these 2 for her dignity. I also get angry as I see comments about how it is helpful as people will say they didnā€™t know anything about autism this is showing themā€¦..NO!!! This is not autism! This drives me crazy to not avail. This is absolutely NOT her primary 1 diagnosis absolutely no way.
Anyway sorry for dropping in middle of chat with such random points šŸ˜« I had to say them before I blew up, there so sooooo many things about this whole family that drive me crazy.
I have had many laughs reading through the chats, hope everyone is well.

Hey guys, I need to catch up, but wanted to say something real quick to Asaā€¦

Dear Asa,
I know that both you and Cilla are not ā€œbook smartā€ by any means. Whatever, fineā€¦ but Iā€™m going to teach you something to say about the human brain weā€™ve developed. I promise not to use big wordsā€¦.

So, there is a part of our brain that is sometimes called the ā€œreptilianā€ part. This part of the brain controls our most basic feelings and reactions. Life and death type of stuff. We as humans still need that part of the brain, because it helps protect us from danger. If something is chasing us, we automatically know itā€™s not good and should run. If the milk smells bad, we know that smell is not a good thing, so (most of us lol) wonā€™t drink it. If we walk towards fire, and we feel itā€™s hot, we do not walk forwardā€¦

They also cause reactions. Natural, animal, reactions to things that we have no control overā€¦ you see someone you find attractive, you get that little warm feeling in your bellyā€¦ canā€™t help that, itā€™s a natural reaction we have developed in our brain to help us recreate..
When we get seriously physically hurt, we cry.. it just happens.. evolutionary wise, it shows we are in distress and need assistanceā€¦

All these reactions, are
1) Natural in EVERYONE
2) Mostly can not be controlled (we can control what we do with the reaction, but not the reaction itself)
3) Built into us for SURVIVAL reasonsā€¦

andā€¦.
4) Should not be looked at as anything more (would you shame someone for crying in pain? Not walking into fire? Running from a bear?ā€¦. No, you wouldnā€™t ā€¦)

Which brings me to my point in telling you all of this. Because there is another example you donā€™t seem to understand.

Loud, sudden noises are another thing we are WIRED to react to. Again, reptilian brain, meant to keep us away from dangerā€¦ a little tribe of people in the woods that are quiet suddenly hear a loud noise coming from behind their camp. If they did not naturally LOOK INTO THE DIRECTION OF THE NOISE, then the bear thatā€™s heading their way gets to maul a few people..

You see where Iā€™m going with this Asa.

I want this to be a ā€œteachable momentā€ for youā€¦

I see you constantly complaining about ā€œstaresā€.. at restaurants, or more recently , a completely empty, echoing mall. Now, I will give you this.. Iā€™m sure , I mean I KNOW, there are rude people who honestly stare too long. I have a nose ring, tattoos, and a half shaved colored hair.. I know about nasty, judgement stares.. but they are rare. But your situation is different.

You seem to constantly forget, YOU are used to her EXTREMELY loud noises. You probably even sound them out most the timeā€¦
But the public, absolutely is not. You could be the most ā€œautistic awareā€ person in the world.. but if you are in a quiet mall, and suddenly a shockingly loud ā€œHOOONKā€ or yell comes from 10 feet behind youā€¦ You WILL TURN TO LOOK IN THE DIRECTION OF THE LOUD UNNATURAL NOISE! Jesus Christ.. why do I feel like I have to break this down so small for you to fricken understand.

Letā€™s also add the fact that Abbie is in her late teens.. almost adult.. Sheā€™s not a baby. So when she is throwing a tantrum, flailing her arms , jumping up and down and BAWLING in a restaurantā€¦ people WILL look because (againā€¦ reactive brain) she seems in distressā€¦ Most of them look out of worry over what is wrong. YOU see and hear this every day.. others do not.

This is double true for children.. when they are young, they are curious.. Iā€™ve had kids stare at me from the time I go into a store, to the time I leave.. I donā€™t go right to blaming the parents for not teaching etiquette.

Also, something I donā€™t think you have EVER taken into consideration, is the fact you bring HUGE RECORDING equipment EVERYWHERE.. several cameras, go pro on your head, micā€¦and you keep it pointed directly at your IDD daughter. You ever think they might be, I donā€™t know, staring at you? Wondering why youā€™re recording your daughter crying? I specifically remember a video where yā€™all went to the post office and complained about people looking.. THEY WERE MOSTLY LOOKING AT YOU BECAUSE YOURE IN LINE AT THE POST OFFICE WITH RECORDING EQUIPMENT..

Do you EVER think? Like, at all? You ever ask the strangers at the post office if itā€™s cool to get their whole ass and face on camera?

So itā€™s time to stop Asa. Stop it with the ā€œthey donā€™t seem aware of autism here because when my 17 year old ripped away from me and went screaming and flailing into the pharmacy of a grocery store, a couple of people looked!ā€

And ESPECIALLY, PERSONALLY FROM ME, STOP with rating your waitress off of how much they interact, or react to Abbie. Stop getting mad when your waitress reacts to getting run over by Abbie as she goes after a different tables food. You have this entitlement over anyone in the service industry and we HATE people like you. You have NO IDEA what that waitress already had to deal with.. drunk dudes.. Karenā€™s and their ā€œI asked for medium medium rare but not so medium and not so rareā€ā€¦ The princesses and their ā€œI canā€™t taste the liquor in this! Yā€™all jipped me!ā€ .. two dollar tips.. (I know your type, and I can just tell you are one of those)

Her job is to be polite and welcoming of course. But when the other tables appetizer comes first, thatā€™s not a personal slight on your daughter. It doesnā€™t mean they ā€œdonā€™t understand autismā€

UGH! Sorry tattlers, I just HAD to get all that out of me. I doubt heā€™ll read the whole thing but I donā€™t care. Just had to put this out there.

UGH....I hate reading that! You have been thru so much...it sucks being sick on top of it all. This sickness sucks. I have a lot of FA antics to catch up on it appears.

Just a warning...this is a long post. This is the most I have typed, focused, or even cared to communicate this much in days. Lucky you!!šŸ˜‚

Today is Day #14 of dealing with whatever the hell has invaded my body. I don't know if it's Covid, but it really does not matter if I have Covid, nothing would change. My symptoms present as a really bad head cold and flu, that just won't let up.

I've had every freaking cold and flu symptom possible since 12/25 and as the time has gone on, more symptoms are added, or they go away, then come back. No matter what I do, I cannot shake this either. I feel like I take one step forward three steps back. o_Oo_Oo_O

I have had two days since 12/25 where I was feeling somewhat human over the course of a few hours time. One day I overdid it filling the wildlife feeders (no need to remind me "I didn't say go 90 MPH, @derr1117!! šŸ¤” šŸ¤¦ā€ā™€ļøšŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚)

The other day I made a pot of homemade chicken noodle soup with enough fresh garlic to kill vampires for decades. That was 3 days ago, I think, and I still cannot taste it. But hey, I'm safe from Vampires, so there is that. šŸ§›ā€ā™‚ļøšŸ¦‡

I have my symptoms logged starting on 12/25 and I read them off to my Doctor's office on the phone two days ago, they told me NOT to come in.
I called my Doctor's office to cancel my 6-month visit for next week and she when asked why I then read them off my symptoms since 12/25 and she told me that based on those symptoms they would not allow me to come in for an appointment. Unless I was having trouble breathing, (then head to the ER) I was to stay at home and continue to isolate myself. No trouble breathing, just fucking miserable beyond miserable.

I'm living on water, Gatorade, ginger ale, occasional orange slices, and a daily dose of Emergen-C. Once in a while I nibble on a cracker, but I'm not hungry.

Our tree is still up.
Christmas gifts are still unopened.
My monthly dry erase calendar in the kitchen is still on December with the 25 the last day I crossed off.
My laundry room looks like Big P and family came to visit. (I think that is the most disturbing of all!!)
I am 14 days behind in my life and so frustrated...it's as if my life and everything stopped on 12/25, but the world kept going.

OK, enough of that whining! I try not to whine, but damn, I sounded like Big P whining there for a moment!
I just forced myself to eat a tasteless bowl of soup (Man Whimsical got his taste back and he said the soup is so good and the garlic is "killer") I'm going to go feed my birds/cats and hop back into bed.

I hope you and all the other Tattlers who are not feeling well, start to get some improvement. ā¤ As much as I HATE doing nothing, there is something about being propped up in bed under electric blankets...for a few days, (not two freaking weeks though!) šŸ¤¦ā€ā™€ļø
@Whimsical dang it, I hope you feel better soon. I just hate that so many tattlers are sick šŸ˜· this COVID shit CAN GO THE FUCK AWAY SOON!

I made you something! I'm almost to embarrassed to post it but you have made me laugh so many times I guess I will just have to embarrASS myself!

Bitch, I have two autistic children - one of whom is "severe" as well as medically fragile who requires 24/7 care + health monitoring, 27 pills per day, IV infusions every 2-4 weeks, and multiple inpatient hospital stays per year - plus running a successful business using my college degree and highly specialized knowledge for the benefit of society as a whole. I also prepare at least 20 meals a week at home from scratch. And I've been homeschooling both of the kids for the last two years, with both of them either working at/above grade level or meeting IEP goals.
Also, my mother was diagnosed with cancer this spring and just completed chemo and radiation in December, so I helped care for her too.

You are useless, you are lazy, and you are beyond fucking ridiculous. Pathetic.

That was THE most pathetic thing I've listened to in a long time. My feelings are that she doesn't really want a family at all, not in the traditional sense. She wants people to take care of things for her and give her attention, but she doesn't have any desire to reciprocate. Marriage is not about gifts and attention. It's a partnership. You each have to take up the reigns for the other when one is down, and YES you may get tired or scared, but you're doing it out of love. If I ever heard my husband crying and complaining about me not being there to do things around the house while I was sick, I would feel TERRIBLE about myself and I wouldn't feel loved. I always feel bad when I can't help out if I'm sick, but he has NEVER complained, not one time.

She's a lazy, selfish, manipulative, egocentric, materialistic, gluttonous, narcissistic, immature, unintelligent 40-year old child who needs a wake up call. What a horrible life she's manipulated for herself. To have such a view for your own children...it's appalling. She's going to be all alone at the end of her life.

Here's a review they left for the RV Park

Asa Maass
6 days ago on Google
2/5
The staff was friendly at check in. We were in site #4 and with two layers of leveling blocks we still tilted hard to the door side of the camper. Couldnā€™t raise it any higher or weā€™d need a harness and climbing ropes to get in and out. Our view from the dinette was of an abandoned single wide trailer falling apart on the hillside. Behind us the salt of the earth was screaming at her barking dog at midnight until she had enough and did something to make it yelpā€¦the dog didnā€™t stop. Another loose dog in the campground came after my dog while I was walking her. WiFi was reasonably fast but you have to stand on the front steps to connect to it from this site. Tried to do laundry but it was being used by a local woman who appeared to be doing a couple weeks worth at one time. With two washers and one dryer in operation it looks like we will be making the midnight barking dog excited again tonight after we have our turn at the laundry. A pool existsā€¦but it is covered in July so Iā€™m assuming it wonā€™t be in service for some time. Pets must be on a leash but there is no dog area anywhere on-site as well as no grass other than the dead growth on what appears to have once been an extension of this dilapidated ā€œresortā€. It functioned as a place to park, dump, and refill the water tanks with reasonable proximity to Yosemite. That is all.
It would be hilarious if the owner replied and said, Asa Maass? hmm we donā€™t seem to have anyone in our records with that name, Iā€™m sorry you had a bad experience at whatever location you visited.

On the seatbelt subject: some years back I worked with a young autistic man whose abilities where in many areas on par with Abigail's. He too disliked wearing a seatbelt, and his mother once told me the story of how she got him to wear it as religiously as he still does to this day. When he got big enough to loosen it himself he was still non-verbal (but very opinionated), and since his mother was unsure of his verbal understanding she taught him through action. She drove to the country with the boy, his father with him in the back seat making sure the seatbelt was in place. When they came to a secluded road, the father moved to the front seat and watched the boy from there. The mother started driving, and as soon as the boy unclipped the seatbelt she stopped the car and didn't start it again until the seat belt was in place. It took a few hours, and they later had to "reinforce" the lesson (partifularly when the boy started disobeying on the school bus), but the boy understood the message clearly, and since he loved car rides he learned to accept the seat belt as part of it. He is an adult today and still enjoys car rides, especially in the country side, and happily wears a seatbelt - and is quick to remind anyone else who might forget to clip themselves in by tapping them on the shoulder.

Just adding this to show that there are ways to teach even severly autistic/IDD people. I hope the Maasses realize this one day and start trying.

(Sorry for rambling, guess I was just thinking about this young man. Also hi, I'm new - been lurking awhile tho. Okay, going back into lurking now.)

Oh, by the way, anyone seen that puzzle walking thing again since the very 1st day? šŸ¤£šŸ¤£šŸ¤£
It has been relegated to hanging out in front of the French doors to the pool. I bet Abbie hasn't used it since he forced her for the sponsored ad.

Promised screenshots from The Dad Challenge Podcast (let me know if you can't read them clearly, please):
Also, is "madge bullwinkle" on YouTube is also here, please send me a sign. I feel like we may be long lost family.

I so wish there were private chats on here. Let me just say that Asa's other daughter has confirmed he is a liar. Also, that "they've put me and my mom through hell."
Asa is such a scumbag liar.

Hmmm well you can try and spin it to make believe that people here actually care about Abbie but for sure if she was in a group home that would make for even more interesting content for all
And Iā€™m sure people will watch more than ever because there seems to be something about group homes or a child not living with her family that is quite appealing
Also the person who said that theyā€™d make sure to get paid every time they are on featured on the blog I think that goes against the mentality here that they are making money from exploiting Abbie so by you wanting to get paid if you were summer youā€™d be taking advantage of the exploitation too
Also donā€™t get why so many are saying they should have left her in Jax
Ok well that means that every disabled person does not deserve to go on a vacation or family trip even if they are the one funding the trip
Which one of the Maas family are you?

Quick stop in to say hello, Tattlers.

I lost my sister this weekend. It was completely out of the blue. She just.....didn't wake up. She wasn't sick, no major medical issues. She just didn't wake up. We're waiting on the medical examiner's findings.
So things are a mess. She was young. 41. One adult child, one minor child.

This sucks.

I am still in bed not ready to face the day yet. Decided to do something I have been wanting to do. And that is total all the product this bitch scams to the vulnerable. I donā€™t know about you all but I think itā€™s absolutely ridiculous the amount of product she puts on. I have face cleaner, good lotion, blush, eyeliner and chapstick. Thatā€™s it. Every once in awhile I will put on foundation, mascara, and eye shadow for a wedding or something like that but this bitch is saying this is her routine. Ridiculous.
BTW, if makeup is your thing Iā€™m not judging you. Iā€™m judging this bitch who scams this shit to her FatheringAutism fan club who more than likely canā€™t afford this shit
This is all the products with the prices with some screenshots just for fun of her latest video. The grand total is at the end.
Yes, she does get a lot of product for free but that's all apart of the scam to join.
I had to show the first two products to you all because they are soooooo outrageously priced! ( I gave her the benefit of the doubt and used the less expensive for her list)

Make up brushes for three hundred fucking dollars!!!!
