So she couldn’t share her traumatic experience as a story or a post on Instagram - no no, she had to wait for her “column” in The Sun so she could capitalise on it.
Yes - she has terminal cancer and I genuinely feel for her. My mother died of a brain tumour and it was absolutely horrendous - there were many times we thought (just like BB) that it was time for our final goodbyes and we would never see her alive again. My mother also had private health care but one thing I can tell you now, when she was carted off in an ambulance and taken to a and e after suffering a seizure, she was not up and dancing in a sequin dress to Celine Dion, pouting into her iPhone for attention, when she felt a bit better. On the contrary, she just wanted to get back home to her family asap.
Words fail me with BB, I’m so torn because whilst her situation is so awfully sad - she does nothing to make herself likeable.

That’s a harsh comment. Regardless of her money and privilege this is a woman who is very likely to die in 40s leaving behind 2 teenage children. I think that makes her a real victim of cancer don’t you?
You are right - she is a victim of cancer. I think the poster meant that a large majority of cancer patients don’t get as much time as she has had as they cannot afford the private treatment that has kept her alive longer. If I had the resources she has I would do the same. I would throw as much money as I could at it. It is so unfair that less well off people don’t get the same chances - but that is just life and not Deborah’s fault. But, her account has gone down the slippery slope of greed and narcissism. Cancer aside her account is purely about feeding her massive ego. She doesn’t need the money - she just wants the fame. Sad really.

It's become the done thing that everyone is supposed to say how wonderful the NHS is but, in many respects it's archaic and not fit for purpose.

I know brands are shameless with advertising but christ, getting a dying woman to flog your shit from her sepsis induced hospital bed? Fucking hell have some boundaries.

But Monique has had some discussions with Harley St docs, she may well be lucky enough to get some treatment from them.
Yeah, I know, she’s raised money via go fund me. But I think at this stage, even if she is approved for any further treatment privately, its more than likely going to come too late. The hospital have allowed her to go home - she’s being sent home so that she can die in her own bed, with the people she loves around her. That’s the reality here.

Maybe she doesn’t want her kids to see her die? I’m sure my dad waited until the one night I went home for a sleep in a week (I know not everyone believes people have that type of ‘control’ but I prefer to think it’s real because 12 years later I still feel I let him down by going home)
My Dad did the same. We all sat with him for hours, which was lovely actually and I hope he enjoyed us all chatting and remembering stuff, he certainly managed a smile and a laugh or 2 that night, then us 4 siblings left to go home about 11pm and mum stayed with him, and she went to bed about midnight and he died. We were all reassured by the Macmillan nurse that this was very common that people died when everyone had left them alone. Like they relax and know they can go. ❤

Weight loss more apparent than ever in BBs latest stories with her hair scraped back like that. Really sad to see her wasting away. Honestly don’t know how she has the energy to continue to flog things. I’ve had a headache today and spent the afternoon on my sofa. God knows how she manages to get herself made up and videoing ads. You can’t help but admire her relentless drive to keep going.
The irony of BB advertising “Look Fantastic” and obviously wasting away in front of our very eyes. I feel complete sadness for her 🥲

I’ve only just watching the “dancing” video and it’s pitiful on more than one level. The idea of business as usual… saving face and doing the “chemo dance” because she’s Bowelbabe and that’s what Bowelbabe does.

Despite all my posts on this thread I don’t hate her, don’t wish her any ill and definitely wish she wasn’t dying. But this is fucked up. Instagram and her many paid partnerships has a lot to answer for.

I’ve seen the stories now and what I cannot work out is why, if 99% of people (her words) are kind and supportive, is she focusing on the 1% that don’t like her?

Also, we know that those messages didn’t go to her directly and were taken from here. What exactly can you do about that? This forum isn’t illegal. The petition influencers started to stop people being anonymous online was discussed and rejected in parliament.
We aren’t DM’ing anyone (I hope), no one is making threats and I would question (but may be wrong) how you can willingly log into a website, read comments about yourself and then claim it’s harassment. So I doubt very much anyone on this thread will lose their job for posting an opinion.

It really does seem like such a waste of time and energy to focus your last months, weeks and days on a forum, which only contains 1% of negative opinions that is very likely to still be here when you sadly aren’t.

However, because I’m not an arsehole, I am going to bow out of this thread now. I don’t want to cause anyone upset or distress. BB clearly cannot let go that a very small percentage of people who know who she is do not like her and has been reading here for months and letting it upset her.

So, I’m off to spend some quality time with my family. I suggest you do the same 😝 ✌

I felt quite sad watching her stories tonight. I just thought she must be quite lonely at times. I hadn't realised her daughter is away at school, an hour away. That must add a whole other level of emotion for both her and her children.
I mean, kinda happens when you send your kids to boarding school? 🤷🏻‍♀️

Thank you so much. And look, it is partly the rantings of a bitter dying woman but cancer really makes you extra aware of the division between the 'haves' and 'havenots' of society and instagram only pushes us the 'haves' and it makes me sad. If i tried to start an Instagram page no one would care, because it would be a plump, grey lady eating food from Aldi. Deborah, I am convinced, only has the best intentions at heart and I do not think she is a bad person and she is going through a nightmare I would not wish on anyone. But, ultimately, she won't ever understand the struggle some of us experience, and I wish she would stop reminding us of that so much.
This is the best post on the entire thread and you’ve summed everything up perfectly.

I’m so sorry you have stage 4 cancer. It’s fucking shit and unfair.

I don’t get how every single person who posts on her Instagram gushes about her and how wonderful she is. Why is nobody questioning some of the things she says? I can’t believe nobody is thinking the things we are here.
This is why tattle has to exist because as soon as an innocent query is raised on 99% of instagrammers accounts it’s deleted and the writer blocked

I think she’s doing it because she wants to and this woman is dying, so if it brings her peace I say fair enough.
100% this ^

I totally get that there’s most likely a moral issue re: the companies using her but that onus is on them, not Deborah.

Just because she’s not lying in a hospital bed blindly accepting her fate seems to make her fair game for criticism - I’ve said this all along and to be honest the comparisons between Deborah and Monique are pretty disgusting. Not once have I seen on this thread about how beautiful and gentle a soul Deborah is - it seems you’re only a gentle and beautiful soul if you’re portrayed as weak and fragile as Monique has been in her posts.

I’m sure they’re both lovely people in their own way, the path each of them is taking to their early deaths is theirs alone to take, there’s no textbook.

I know nobody here is saying it’s solely down to her will to live that she’s still here and still smiling, because it really isn’t. It’s easier to stay positive when you have money to spend on private doctors who will continue to treat you when NHS Doctors wouldn’t. All of the people who have lost their lives to cancer before wanted to live just as much as Deborah, and that takes us back to the NHS/private situation.

I had cancer too. I have to admit that dancing around the chemo unit would have been the last thing I felt like doing. It was tough to say the least. From my experience as a cancer patient, that kind of behaviour is not inspiring or encouraging ~ it just made me feel even worse about myself.
I sympathise with her of course but there’s something unseemly about so much of what she posts. All the free stuff when she’s clearly minted. The sexy dances. She’s just too self assured and full of herself to be very likeable. Cancer as a lucrative moneymaker indeed.

None of it makes sense to me. On antibiotics for repeated infections, yet goes to Harrods, gets nails done, mixes with all her family, then returns to hospital carrying God knows how many germs back in/possible covid. Meanwhile patients in similar positions are stuck on nhs wards seemingly without that freedom 🤷‍♀️ I often question what she posts and the severity of it, as surely if she was that unwell she wouldn't be able to manage half the stuff she does.

I don't think we should judge who is taking care of her. As someone with a non-existant relationship with my mum I can only begin to imagine it must be a huge comfort if you have a mum who loves you and vice versa. And as a mother myself, I cannot bear to think of NOT being there for my child, no matter their age, through this nightmare. They're doing what suits them all best.
100% get this. My relationship with my mum was non existent and after getting sick (not with cancer) as a person with a very career oriented husband I have felt so so alone and never received much personal motherly love and care, which I seriously needed. I am relieved that she has her mother to care for her and her mother will be also be relieved that she can have that role, I am sure.

I think that’s exactly what happened. I think The Sun was one of the first gigs she got, long before she started getting the gifts and ads and PR invites.

She’s such a bad fit for a tabloid and it’s quite funny to see how much her writing is dumbed down by the sub editors.
I am sorry to say this, but she's not a good enough writer to write for the broadsheets. She writes in endless cliches and I think she's perfectly suited to writing for the Sun. I say this as someone who writes for the former.
