She’s the easy target. Nobody is scared of her because she’s vulnerable, lonely and mad. He threw her to the lions.

The sinister, coldblooded rapist is a man. Nobody is going for him.

Agree! I do feel that ‘Darrien’ is getting away lightly though considering the awful SA. If anyone should be outed it should be him. How many others have sadly fallen victim to him.
It will be interesting to see if other victims come forward.

Binge watched over two evenings. Enjoyed isn't the word, I was very intrigued by it. Thought the acting and writing was pretty flawless. Loved that empathy between him and his mum and dad when he went and told them what had happened to him, very understated but powerful

I think it's disgusting giving a convicted stalker (although she's not served time, she's had a restraining order) an opportunity to share her side on all these media platforms. You can say what you like about Richard Gadd, but he's still a victim of her. Would a man who's stalked a woman be given the same opportunity ? It's also total exploitation of a very vulnerable woman.

I didn’t get that bit either 🫣 and I actually managed to put my phone down and watch the whole thing so don’t think I missed any bits🤣
I think she was trying to make out she was better than she was because she’s a fantasist. She was meant to be some top lawyer but couldn’t afford a cup of tea much less an iPhone, so she put that at the end of her texts to make it look like she had one. She was completely delusional. The spelling errors were probably just to reflect her mental state. At least that’s my take on it.

btw it's insane how well Jessica Gunning nailed her role without having any reference except of Gadd's words. She has to sweep award season.

Can’t describe how bizarre it felt when I realised when scrolling on Twitter last night (after watching the show last weekend) that the odd woman who followed me on Twitter in 2016 and liked some of my tweets despite having the complete opposite viewpoints to me was the real life Martha 🤯

I loved his dad shouting at Martha on the phone 😂

Great show, deeply uncomfortable in parts and not what I was expecting when I started it, but still funny too. Plenty of Martha jump-scares as well 😂 😥

I can't understand how Martha has become the bigger story here rather than the man who shall remain nameless (in this post). A man who had stamped his feet and silenced his victim (again), with lawyers.

It's clear to me from the posts I've seen that the people who are naming him are correct. I've given it a lot of thought and I believe it to be the truth. It sickens me that he can throw his money around to silence his victim.

This whole thing is so complex and really sad. Nobody comes out of it well.

I watched, very weird for me as I could write the same about my own mother. She’s also just over 60, horrifically racist, homophobic etc and rants online very similarly. My mother also was charged with harassment and stalking of myself and given a restraining order and suspended sentence. She’s done it to many men too, I watched her whilst growing up. She’d damage their cars, be violent towards the woman they would have affairs with to try to escape her, visit their parents, call their works or turn up there etc. She’s with a guy now and we all say it’s more of a hostage situation, he won’t leave because he knows what she’s like and what she’ll do until she finds someone else. Anyone who crosses her gets the same treatment. It was strange watching it from my angle for this, the one thing Richard did portray well is how difficult it is to get someone charged with harassment and stalking, how you have to keep every bit of contact you receive and you’re waiting for them to do something horrendous to get arrested. There are too many loopholes for these absolute nutters to get around, the process is so long, embarrassing too because things can seem so petty as he pointed out in a few scenes.

Looks like the nephew has posted a photo of someone being released from a prison except he’s covered the bit that could be her 😅 he reckons the papers have it but haven’t released it yet.

Feel like I have to add a disclaimer 🤣 that I stumbled on it by chance, checking fb in my break and it said 1 new post in the search history. I’m not stalking this guy looool Sent from my ipheon

It wouldn't surprise me if some of the people here were involved in making Baby Reindeer.
Damn you worked us all out! 😱😱😱😱

Yes, we all joined Tattle many years ago and over several years we’ve made posts gossiping about various celebrities/influencers, which we really had no interest in, just as a cover story purely so that when we worked on Baby Reindeer in “real life” (several years later) we could post on a thread about it and hope we’d go undiscovered! 🙄

And it would’ve worked if it wasn’t for you, you pesky kid! 😜😆

ONE HUNDRED PERCENT. She's clearly very mentally unwell and has been thrust into a situation she didn't ask for, no matter how badly she has behaved, everyone has the right to privacy/anonymity. Netflix/the production company have failed in their duty of care towards her, and as RG has said himself in that interview with Lorraine Kelly - they are both victims. Admitting she's a victim yet putting her at risk of what has inevitably happened to her - not cool.
But she didn't want anonymity 🤷‍♀️. She outed herself on YouTube for the whole world to see... No one made her do that, she made out she was forced to. Wasn't she harassing the people

She said she wasn't tech savvy, but had the wits about her to restrict comments, keep all of her Facebook posts public while allowing for likes and shares. She also left her messages open on Facebook too. She knows how to change her privacy settings.

No one asked for her to put herself in front of a camera beside Piers Morgan. She chose to do that. It wasn't some big tell-all moment, she just wanted to feel in control of the narrative.

What did the interview get her? All it did was highlight that she didn't know her arse from her elbow. She confirmed who she was tried to confirm her interactions (from we weren't even friends to help wanted to sleep with me) and everything she said contradicted the next thing. If anything, it just convinced more people she's a stalker!

Yes, she may not be well or okay, but she is still a stalker and takes zero responsibility for anything she has ever done. There is no accountability, even for the other family she harassed. Even fecking Donald Dewar!

I understand she may have issues and could very well be considered vulnerable to some, but at what point does that become an excuse beyond reasonability? I can't imagine that there are many stalkers out there who don't have mental health issues, so it doesn't excuse the behaviour at all.

What I took from the interview was that she seemed annoyed that the portrayal of Martha wasn't correct (even though she never watched it by the way...). She wanted to point out what didn't happen but didn't want to discuss what did. She also wanted the show to depict her in the way she saw herself (along with the negative comments about Jessica Gunning).

Jessica Gunning brought a slight trace of likeability to Martha's character and, even though her accent was havering at times, it was in no way as pretentious and false as Fiona Harvey's!

She seems like a very spiteful person and a very hateful one too (from her own social media posts). I'm sure she's had all the help in the world offered to her but hasn't wanted to do any of the work or change. If you "Google up" Baby+Reindeer+Martha, Fiona Harvey's face comes up. That's exactly what she wanted.

I hope all of her stalking victims are okay and I hope she gets the help she needs and apologises for her behaviour over the years.
