i saw a mirrored privacy film on ig the other day which looks good - you apply it outside and it mirrors that view but is completely clear from the inside. a bit like those police mirrors if that makes senseI thought this would be a good place to ask. My friend is in a ground floor flat and buildings opposite can see it. Does privacy film work? Or would net curtains/blinds be better? They still want sunlight and to be able to see outside - I’ve got shutters so I’m clueless on these things! Thanks
One of my friends who lives in a ground floor flat has this - it's brilliant! Her bedroom is still really bright and looks like a normal window, but you can't see a thing from the outside.i saw a mirrored privacy film on ig the other day which looks good - you apply it outside and it mirrors that view but is completely clear from the inside. a bit like those police mirrors if that makes sense
Would you happen to have a link please or could you ask your friend? Thank youOne of my friends who lives in a ground floor flat has this - it's brilliant! Her bedroom is still really bright and looks like a normal window, but you can't see a thing from the outside.
I'd be buying sheets of MDF, hiring a circular saw, and adding padding, covering with fabric and stapling at the back - jobs a good unI want to make an L shaped headboard to go around a single bed, but oversized so it sticks out either side. Every website I checked on Google is £600 per panel, which feels crazy expensive. Has anyone seen these sold at a reputable place or done it themselves please?View attachment 2810403
Was going to say the same! I’ve reupholstered several bits of furniture this way. Take your time and be generous with the overlap of foam and fabric, you can retrim but you can’t stick it back on.I'd be buying sheets of MDF, hiring a circular saw, and adding padding, covering with fabric and stapling at the back - jobs a good un
What about the slat wall panelling? On the topic of headboards
We have a super king bed base and mattress but no head board in spare room. I’ve put in nice bedside tables but really looks stupid without headboard. Any recommendations for free standing one or something I can stick to the wall, or what websites to look on? Nothing I’ve looked at on Amazon takes my fancy…
Could you not just buy a headboard and screw it on?On the topic of headboards

Etsy seem to have something similar. Type in ‘wall headboard upholstered’.I want to make an L shaped headboard to go around a single bed, but oversized so it sticks out either side. We are a ground floor flat, have large windows, I’d love blinds but have a cat! So found some nets that look like blinds. Got them on Amazon! Got them in the bedroom too!I thought this would be a good place to ask. My friend is in a ground floor flat and buildings opposite can see it. Does privacy film work? Interior design company? This might sound like a bizarre question but is there such a thing as a company you can hire to help you arrange your furniture in a way that compliments the room etc? Me and my 2 year old have to share a room and I’m really struggling with space and finding something that works because obviously there’s 2x every piece of furniture, I want her to habe a little play space. Plus as she grows she’ll need a bigger bed and no idea how I’ll make it all fit
Theres someone on tiktok who does this - her name is Tabby, can't remember her username but she does interior design for homes! This might sound like a bizarre question but is there such a thing as a company you can hire to help you arrange your furniture in a way that compliments the room etc? For the circumstances I’d be tempted to look at free resources - there are hashtags/creators who specialise in #smallspaceliving, there will be Facebook groups that can support and will share links to things to buy or maybe even have resale communities too. This might sound like a bizarre question but is there such a thing as a company you can hire to help you arrange your furniture in a way that compliments the room etc? I have got the Neom wellbeing pod mini. I’m not sure exactly but it has 3 different timers between every 30 mins and 12 hours. I like it but I probably wouldn’t buy it again. The range isn’t great, it doesn’t fill a room or anything but the battery life is great (USB charging) and you can use any bottle of oil with it, you don’t need water. It is also quite noisy why it’s emitting the smell, I can hear it vibrating upstairs!Does anyone have any recommendations for an essential oil diffuser that's battery operated/usb rechargeable and has intermittent timer settings (eg releases scent every 10 mins for a few seconds etc)
Thank you! I actually only want it for a small bathroom so the range wouldn't be a major issue but the noise would be! Will have a look at the Yankee one and might try it for that price though I'm not that much of a fan of Yankee smells. I also have this Yankee Candle one, I bought it from boots for £8.99!! And it is REALLY good but as far as I’m aware, you can only use the Yankee refills, which are hard to come by. It has 3 different timer settings and a great range, the battery life is great and it isn’t noisy at all.
