Also I've thought about going to do that minecraft thing with my child but it does just look so ridiculously overpriced and such a rip off. Hardly the type of thing someone in heaps of debt should be doing (if it's a freebie, fair enough I guess as long as you state that?!)

Financially she would be in a worse position compared with when she quit River island as her mortgage repayments would be higher .
if she does that with no plans on earning she will be back to relying on credit and back to £50k debt within 18 months

I noticed that while she was dishing the takeaway up her dress sleeves (that she wore on the dirty train and at work) kept falling into the bowls that they ate their dinner from. I guess she could have w washed them again off camera but I just kept thinking about how many germs were now in the bowl.
Surely she has insurance. That breed have so many health problems and most dachshunds require back surgery at some point which is thousands!

no she pays insurance , she also was aware of the cost of the operation which she said wasnt covered on the insurance and in the last budget had budgeted for it, i might be wrong but wasnt this an op to neuter him and to find a missing testicle and remove , neutering wouldnt be on insurance, you would have thought the latter was

Agreed! There’s no way neutering costs that, so I’d say it is the op for the missing testicle. No idea if she does have insurance or not, but as someone who has just claimed pet insurance I find it weird this op is not covered. She must have the most basic insurance. My last dog (over 10yrs ago) had an accident and back then the op and all the other stuff (MRI, anaesthetic etc) cost £8k. Anyone who doesn’t have insurance is running on a false economy - especially someone like her who no way has money saved monthly towards it!

Re her insurance - didn’t she say that it doesn’t cover everything because the breed are quite troubled with certain conditions? Idk why you’d buy a high needs dog if you’ve historically never had any savings?!!

I feel like pet insurance only covers so much - there are a lot of add-ons/treatments not covered even if you have a really thorough comprehensive level of cover (which she sounds like she doesn’t). Another expense she hasn’t really done her homework on.
