There was a photo of her on the school run last year being driven by Carole where her face looked very different and v bloated. Definitely has been on steroids during treatment.
What was a very intrusive picture of a very unwell mum trying to have some normalcy 😔

which was after whatever operation she had. The usual treatment for ulcerative colitis would be steroids, immunosuppressants and operations only when steroids and immunosuppressants no longer work.

It might also have been a complication of a gynecological surgery. A fibroid surgery or cyst removal gone wrong requiring an unexpected hysterectomy. Which would also be a huge change to her life and physical wellbeing and would need coming to terms with. In private, not on the title page of the Mail.

I think because of her role, there's very little she gets to keep private. She was absolutely right to exert that right to privacy, imo, in relation to the exact nature of her illness.

I don't usually follow royal gossip but I am fascinated by the revelation that Kate's right hand woman was following basically everyone Meghan knows in her private life on Instagram. That's really quite weird and stalkerish - following people with a business connection to H&M is one thing, but following random non-famous like office workers living in a small town in Texas, who happen to have gone to school with Meghan? Can't see any reason for that. She seemed to be following literally everyone in Meghan's life.

I don't blame her for wanting privacy but Kensington Palace's PR dept really ducked up massively in their whole handling of it. Especially the weird fake AI/heavily photoshopped photo, then throwing Kate under a bus and making her take the fall (especially cruel when we now know she was so unwell at the time). KP is essentially a multi-million pound business employing something like 16 full-time staff in their PR department, it's beyond imagination that Kate is personally photoshopping official royal images. And they certainly could have protected Kate a lot more during the time period she was out of public eye and the media was making a big deal about "Kate missing." There's no reason things should have escalated to that point in the first place, and a PR department that huge and that experienced with handling so many royal scandals over the decade should have been able to handle a private health crisis without breaking a sweat.

The Firm is deeply cruel to married-in women IMO.

I do love the reaction she’s gotten at Wimbledon the last couple of years - they’re not perfect and I know we pull the poor woman apart on here sometimes but I do think she is genuinely beloved and they will be an incredibly popular King and Queen.

I don't think Kate ever assumes anything, or appears to have any level of entitlement whatsoever and I think that's what people warm to. Plus she's been the perfect image of a wife and mother up until now, someone almost too perfect to be true and yet having cancer has made her a lot more real to people. She looked so utterly vulnerable when she made her cancer announcement sitting on the bench in Windsor, and few Royals have shown that before.

She looks really well at Wimbledon. Regardless of opinion on the royal family, I’m glad for her children that she seems to be in better health.

Not sure if people are in denial about how emaciated Kate is looking at the minute? She does not look really well at Wimbledon. Her waist is the same size as her daughter's for goodness sake. I hope she's doing okay.

I agree with you. Even the cream ensemble she wore earlier was very fitted but it was loose. And it was tiny.
I think she's dealing with a serious medical complication and she is far too thin for her height. Yes of course she has beautiful flowing hair with hair and make up experts trailing around behind her, but none of that takes away from what I think is a significant amount of weight loss (from somebody who doesn't have it to lose in the 1st place) . For the record I don't think she has an eating disorder, but I don't see her as looking healthy at the moment at all.

Believe me, I have a friend who is emaciated and she looks about 30 years older than she is and half dead. Her arms and legs are like sticks.

Yes Kate is thin but her arms and legs still have definition, she’s clearly exercising. She also looks well to me.

If you look back at photos from Wimbledon as far back as 2021, she still looks as thin.

My Dad has UC and has never puffed up from steroids, to look at him you’d have no idea other than his weight loss over the years. He also had the reconstructive surgery option rather than a stoma, and goes about his day to day life as normal. I think the reason she has not wanted to address it is because it’s bowel related. I’m also sure it was bowel cancer simply because I know two people who have had it and the chemo type they had for it didn’t cause hair loss either. Just my own opinion ofc, I’m not sure we’ll ever know
I had bowel cancer with a hemicolectomy (no stoma). I was in hospital for a week and in bed at home for another week; I'm sure that if I could have afforded a comfortable private hospital, I would have remained for that second week. I lost about a quarter to a third of my hair thickness all over thanks to chemo but it remained below my waist and I'm sure that a good hairpiece and hairdresser would have made it look as thick and glossy as before.

I think that people forget that Kate was ill enough to require abdominal surgery and a fortnight's stay in hospital. Whatever that was for, while it led to the discovery of the cancer cells, no one knows whether that original condition was "cured" by the surgery and so everything we see may not simply be down to the cancer treatment and so "she's finished cancer treatment and is well again!". She tends to wear heavy makeup and particularly blusher which may be to make herself look healthy out in public as well as for the cameras.
