The eye make up is too much. I quite like the dress. The hair pulled back is quite a gaunt look.
Not a Fan of those cape dresses, they’ve had their day. Her hair is severe and the tiara looks heavy. I loved her day look.
I think she’s much sicker than we’ve been thinking. Suddenly she looks as though her make up and hair team are trying very hard to make her look good/ normal , when I’m sure it’s not a difficult job usually.

I agree that she is till very unwell. As someone who has a chronic illness and is always in pain myself, you can see it on her face. I am also thinking it is Chrons or similar. I think she wears those voluminous dresses when she is worried about eating or has a long day in case there is an issue with her body. I really don’t understand the hate for her (or for Meghan). I get that people want a republic but the constant personal attacks on social media must be draining. There really is no ‘sisterhood’ if you are a royal woman.
I just commented on another thread that I think Catherine looked better last year than she does now. It must be a chronic condition and a bad flare up of late, I'd guess. Part of me wishes for her that she could say what it is, and take to the sofa whenever she needs to but she'd then be pressed into fronting charities etc like she has with cancer care and I can't imagine that's easy given her recent dance with it. The strain shows on her and William. It must be horrendous having to deal with all this in the public arena.
I completely understand that Kate doesn't want every Tom, fool and Harry knowing her medical details. If it's abdominal it probably involves either bowels or reproductive organs so it's not exactly dinner party conversation. However, she could make such a beneficial contribution as well as endear herself to the public if she could shed some light on her disease. It would encourage people to go to the doctor or look after themselves better by recognising symptoms.
She is very vague about her illness and what she has said is a bit weird - like saying cancer patients need to go outside and enjoy the sun, when in fact many take medications which make sunlight harmful. It seems to me that she likes to keep her distance with the public and present a very polished perfect exterior but this places so much pressure on her. In addition there are some people who doubt she has a serious illness, which doesn't help.
She is vague about her illness because she’s protecting her children. If she were to disclose which type and stage of cancer she has, the media and social media would be full of speculation about her chances of recurrence and survival.
She said that she needed to go outside and enjoy the sun (in response to another cancer patient who felt the same). She didn’t mean she was sunbathing. The fact that people can’t understand that distinction is beyond me.
Of course she keeps her distance and maintains a polished exterior—just look at this thread, where people comment on everything from her clothes to her appearance.
And don’t even get me started on those batshit crazy people who claim she didn’t have a serious illness. The fact that you’d even repeat that here is shocking. The world-renowned Royal Marsden cancer hospital confirmed in a press release—and a live TV interview—that she received cancer treatment with them.

The whole point of being here is to discuss people in the public eye.
Not everyone is going to have exactly the same thoughts or it would be an echo chamber.
Why the shock at curly top mentioning the talk from doubters? No one here has mentioned doubting her. Is it a closed subject that we've missed direction on?
She is vague about her illness because that's her right, I dont believe it's anything to do with protecting her children who will by now have seen her at her most rough and low ebbs due to her treatment.
I think its a shame too that she cant or won't discuss it, maybe she will in the future or maybe she won't.

She shone a light on HG in pregnancy after experiencing it and in doing so, made tens of thousands of people stop calling It morning sickness and it highlighted to many that it's a debilitating illness for any pregnant woman.
Whilst we are on tattle and whilst this thread remains open, we are all free to discuss the royal family members as we see fit.
I think she looks well given she has been ill, I think she looks in pain and is unwell …you can see by looking at her she’s been poorly …both have aged but no wonder she has been seriously unwell and then Charles too…William has aged but they’ve been through the mill these last few years family dramas, Queen passing, Kate & Charles ill….life basically.

The woman is torn to shreds daily on social media, why would she give them any further excuse to come at her. If you can’t keep an illness private by choice it’s truly reflective of the society we live in. No matter what she does people will find a way to critique her. Cancer and it’s treatment are very hard and if she like so many are suffering the effects of chemo she should be left alone to recover.
She looks fine to me. People see what they want to see.

I love a good gossip snippet but while I'd love to know her illness details, she has every right to keep it private.
This is a weird take.
Would you not go the toilet unless the king said "I myself, urinate". Why do you need a royal to tell you to seek medical help when needed?!
Also, she's on a lose lose. People would tear her to shreds for getting better help than them.
I have no issue with anybody dealing with a medical condition in the way that they want, whether that is to be very open about it or keep it to themselves / loved ones. Most of us choose who we tell but obviously have a much less high profile so less people being interested. Regardless of that however, it's been shown time and time again that people with a large public profile being vocal about a condition does make people think, apparently huge numbers of men that had their prostrates checked after Chris Hoy discussed his condition which can only be a good thing (there are many other instances of this over the years). Whether he would have been as vocal about it had a newspaper not threatened to publish details is a mute point and he should have had that choice, as should Kate.
Chris Hoy was saying sweet FA until he got forced. Your private business, is just that.

I agree but was responding to your comment to say that it's factual that famous people discussing their illnesses does lead to more people getting checked out / seeking treatment. The fact that they shouldn't be pushed into this is irrefutable though and we'll never know if Chris Hoy would have campaigned when he came to terms with things in his own time or not as he wasn't afforded the chance to do things the way he wanted (whatever that was). Sadly people people seem to think they have a right to know every little detail of people's lives including, in some cases, devastating medical diagnoses. The papers will often use headlines such as "Secret Illness" etc when they actually just mean private. It's disgusting.
I don't think so, she would have been showing signs of steroid bloating over the years. A journalist in my country had a very public ulcerative colitis journey and in the bad times he was puffy and barely recognisable due to the massive water retention caused by the steroids. He's had his colon removed and is better now but for years you could see the illness in his face. Catherine only had a rounder face during her pregnancies.
My Dad has UC and has never puffed up from steroids, to look at him you’d have no idea other than his weight loss over the years. He also had the reconstructive surgery option rather than a stoma, and goes about his day to day life as normal. I think the reason she has not wanted to address it is because it’s bowel related. I’m also sure it was bowel cancer simply because I know two people who have had it and the chemo type they had for it didn’t cause hair loss either. Just my own opinion ofc, I’m not sure we’ll ever know
There was a photo of her on the school run last year being driven by Carole where her face looked very different and v bloated. Definitely has been on steroids during treatment.
