My MIL used to do this, she still had a key from when they stayed here.
She arrived at 10.30 on a Sunday morning and we were having a lazy 1. . OH bollocked her but for a while after everytime she told someone, she extended the time in a bid to just make us look lazy 🤣
What a bleep . . We've now got the key back.
Its not completely stopped the unannounced visits, she arrives with a COOOO EYYYY 🙄
Omg that’s so rude! So what if you wanted a lazy Sunday?

I’ve tried ignoring the door but she starts peeping through the windows 😩 my son is isolating at the minute due to a positive case in his class so she really shouldn’t be here at all but she seems to think she’s invincible.

Video calls at 9am. I'm barely awake and look like tit, and of course everyone has cameras on. Leave me to drink my coffee in peace with my camera off ffs!

My mother used to ring us at 8am on a Sunday (our only sleep-in day) to boast about all the things she'd done since rising at 6am. Well that's very interesting and you do you, but bugger off and leave us be!

My mother in law constantly turning up unannounced! I wish my sister in law would hurry up and pop a kid out.
Thankfully this only happened once. We were walking home from the shops and I saw her outside our door, I was so tempted to say we should go for a walk to avoid her but he saw her

My colleague doesn't read my bloody emails! A student's dad died and he dropped out of the course, which my colleague leads on. I FWd the email & sent my condolences to the student and took him off the course list. My colleague didn't say anything, but I assume that maybe he spoke to the student privately. A few weeks later, my colleague sends the student an email asking why he hasn't done the work?!

That's when I found out this colleague has his OWN contact list that he does not update, because he doesn't read his fecking emails. So now I'm freaking out about the stuff I assumed that this more senior colleague had sorted out but probably hasn't even bothered to read

I spoke to my manager about it and he's told me to copy him into all emails to this colleague from now on, so now I'm going to be that person. 🙃

Picking my kids up from school, where they’ve spent the day in a bubble, to walk past the park and see loads of mums, no masks, no social distancing, and loads of kids all year groups playing together. The teachers must be 😤🤬😤 when they see it!

I feel so sorry for teachers in this situation, especially as they don't seem to be being prioritised for the vaccine

Me too. It’s a logistical nightmare and a scary situation mixing with so many kids. I know a secondary school teacher who says it’s infuriating to go through all the hassle of bubbling them up just to see them leave school and hang around in big groups at the bus stops or at the shops. And these are primary school kids I’m talking about, so it’s the parents letting them go to the park 🙄🤷🏼‍♀️🤬

this re-opening of schools for everyone really is going to be a total disaster imo

Waiting for an email 😤
Applied for job in October. Over four months later I finally passed all the checks and assessments and was given the all clear to begin training. Received an email on Thursday offering me the training course beginning at the start of May, on a residential basis (expenses paid) as the training establishment is hours away from where I live.

Last night I received another email, lacking in any clear information. Basically the course has been cancelled and I’ve been placed on a different one, it only starts a week later than the original course and it’s slightly closer to my city but still a couple of hours away by train. The email says ‘accommodation needs to be provided by the establishment in order for you to attend’. Wtf does this mean? It’s so poorly written and doesn’t tell me what I need to do next. I’m so impatient to start work, I begin my induction at the end of April and I need to know that I have somewhere to stay while training for a couple of months from May-July. It winds me up how little info is given via these emails!! 😡 Surely they should have outlined if anything (other than venue and dates) has changed regarding arrangements for the training, whether or not I need to contact my establishment, how to go about securing a room etc. I emailed back last night but no response yet. USELESS.

Huge group of teenagers on the train. Feel like a plank for saying it since kids/teens have really been badly affected and have been treated appalingly over the past year. However, please have a bit of respect for social distancing. Even if they won't social distance with each other, respect other people's needs for some distance. And also try not to be so obnoxiously loud either.

My job is really starting to wind me up.
I work in a GP practice which is hard and tough enough as it is without management being absolute arseholes about everything! I actually love my work, I love most of our patients, I love helping people but today, I was sat in the back office, management were also sat in there for the first few hours. I answered call after call, I'd answered 96 calls between 8am and 12pm, they could see how busy I was. They didn't answer any calls to help get the queue down & at 12pm when I was about to go for lunch, my manager says to me 'how come you're behind on registrations'!!!!! I'm sorry.... have you not been sat here watching how much I'm doing whilst you sit there on your phone, drinking your bleeping tea!!! I wish I'd said it out loud. Honestly, I'm going to snap soon. She is the laziest woman I have ever met, all she does is eat and pick at people. Barely does any work all day, watches netflix in her office when she's meant to be working, watches me struggling with calls, has a brand new range rover outside the door and has the audacity to question why I'm a little behind on my work! There's 6 of us that work in the office, we are rushed off our feet all day, we get told one minute to prioritise calls as we have 26,000 patients and then the next minute she's questioning us as to why we are a little behind!!! Rant over.

I think I've got an allergy to something as I keep waking up with swollen/puffy eyes and tingly lips. GP said it didn't sound like an allergy and gave me eyedrops and they've done sod all.

It does my head in having to jump through hoops and persuade a doctor to refer you to a specialist when you know something isn't right. 🙄

Is she the practice/reception manager? Decent partners of the practice would want to know if you could speak with one of those in confidence. It could be classed as a safeguarding concern (or something akin to that), no?

I know I'm a boring bastard but annoyed that the new heads for my dishmatic thingy don't fit. They fall off whenever I'm washing anything up.

Also annoyed that my 1 year old dishwasher has decided it doesn't want to clean anything any more 😠

She's the practice manager but is also a partner so would be extremely difficult to approach another partner in confidence I would imagine. We are being run in to the ground. It will obviously be busy in the middle of a pandemic but we simply do not have enough staff and we are getting extra work added on each day. We are also taking over another surgeries patients in May so God help us all. They've even added vaccination clinics on for Saturdays and Sundays, haven't even asked us and just expected that we will all work 7 days per week due to the 'needs of the business'. What about our needs?!
