I applied for a role at a company back in December. They didn't respond to me until March and it's been red flag after red flag.
I'm super sick and I have an important work meeting, so I politely asked if I could reschedule the interview. I never even got a response from HR.
While my current job isn't the best in the world, I don't think what this company is right. If you're going to reach out to a candidate with a different company name & role, you need to be transparent with them from the get-go.
- I got a random email from a different company saying they looked at my application and wanted to interview me. I had never heard of that company so I was wondering where they came from. It turns out the company I originally applied for underwent an spin-off and the company which reached out to me is the new company following the spin-off. The HR lady didn't tell me they had undergone a spin-off (which would have been the logical thing to do when approaching me) and I had to fetch this information myself online.
- I went to the first interview and it turned out to be a different role than the one I had applied for originally. I applied for a regulatory consultant role and they clearly want to hire me for an IT support one. I don't have an IT background at all.
