This has always confused me too!Dropped my eldest at school today and Mousse T vs Hot and Juicy was on the radio ...he said what's vs?, I said versus and he said like a fight?, shouldn't it be featuring?.
I then had to go on to explain that everyone was versus someone in the 90s and no I have no idea why.

Calm down, you’re a child. I’m old enough to be your mother!I was born in 1984 so I dont know how many WC there has been but I remember scotland being there for France 98 as I was 14.
I did actually like to eat werthers as a teen but my taste must have changed because a few years down the line I found them far too sickly and stopped. The local Indian restaurant doesn't give peppermint with the bill but instead gives werthers.
Husband said take your sweets and I refused saying to him "they are pensioners sweets, I'm not taking them" (I am in my late 60s!!)
I always tell my kids I was born in the 20th century thank you.So, get this, just talking to my 16 year old nephew about things & stuff... & he pipes up “so wait... you were actually born in the 1900s .. ”
Yes you little tit, it would bleeping seem so.
I'm raging.
IN THE NINETEEN HUNDREDS .
Agree, but I've also noticed more people actually speaking up and calling people out recently which can only be a good thing. I think people have just had enough of it now and maybe the hot weather is making people less tolerant of those with a bad case of main character syndrome. The amount of conversations I’m having (starting) about the selfishness of people, the lack of manners and respect these days.
I think this extremely sensible!. Not old just muscle memory....I just subconsciously selected my grey slippers because it's raining.
This made me realise I have warm weather & cold weather colour options 🫢
When I think back to what mums wore when I was at school it was all A line skirts and headscarves. When I was at primary school I vividly recall seeing an advert for jeans featuring an older lady with grey hair. I remember how shocked I felt at the time, then thought why shouldn't older ladies wear jeans? And here I am in my sixties still living in my skinny jeans.Time and fashion are so weird.![]()
