Oh dear. I am generally rather obsessively clean. I shower twice a day. Everything is washed after one wear, even cardigans and jeans and stuff. I change into clean clothes when I come home as outside clothes are “contaminated”. I prefer to order clothes online as in-store clothes may have been tried on by god knows who. But I have never washed any brand new clothes or bedding before first use. 😭 I think I might now have to.
I don't wash clothes from brand new but I do tend to order stuff on line rather than pick something up in the shop that I've seen. I'd rather wait an extra couple of days for one all wrapped in lovely plastic.

Ubexpected early finish for me today, going to go home and make myself a nice lunch instead of the packed one I thought I was going to have at work. Good start to the week 🤩

If my cat goes out in the rain, when she comes back in she looks for either me or my mum and "asks" to be dried off. It's so cute. She'll sit there and love being gently pampered with a warm fluffy towel. I think she goes out in the rain just so she can be indulged!

That's the cutest thing ever. My little boy just miaows angrily when he gets in after being rained on as if to blame me for the inclement weather 😂

We used to dog sit a dog that could ‘self dry’. After a bath or after getting caught in the rain you’d lay a towel on the floor and she would duly rub herself down all over it until she was dry. Was quite impressive!

Ok when a dog does it then it’s impressive but when Carapop does it suddenly it’s a problem?

When one of our dogs got wet, he was happy to be called into the bathroom and dried off with a towel

We have a jack Russell who just comes in and climbs all over you with her cold wet feet

I washed all my make up brushes and picked out which make up I want to use for the next while. My cat, Boss #3, helped me pick out which make up to use. She has especially picked great choice in lipstick and eyeliner! Very helpful! 😸🐈

There's a cat rescue place in the States that livestreams their huge facility (350 cats!) called Furball Farm, on YouTube.
You can donate to release some treats for the cats and honestly, it's heartwarming to see how many people are watching and donating.

There are a few my husband has noticed and named like Tripod Ginge and Mushroom Head.
The facility is so clean with so many cat-centric things to play on and a big roof for sun-bathing.
We're organising a time so we can donate and get a little virtual tour of the place soon.

Went for a walk after school tonight and there's a gated pet cemetery area. My son asked what it was and I explained. He asked me to read the headstones to him and once done, he told me it had upset him that these animals had died. We had a lovely child appropriate chat about it and we continued on our walk. I thought he'd forgotten about it as he was collecting flowers on our way making a lovely bouquet and we were looking for bugs. As we circled back he ran over to the area and put his picked flowers down 🥺 'I just want them to know I love them'. Sometimes I think I'm a tit parent and they're doomed but times like that I couldnt be prouder ❤

My in-laws picked me up from work this morning and father in law pruned a plant I’m not too sure of in our garden whilst mil and I drank a cup of tea on the decking with my son. It was lovely in the breeze chatting about the garden!

Just in relation to the new bedding ref above, do we wash new bedding before use? Some sets instruct to do so on the packaging and I’ve never bothered. The first time using it is the only time it will ever be creaseless again. I do not iron!
I wash everything before first use, with the exception of duvets, pillow, coats, jackets etc. They use stuff to keep the fabrics free of pests and mould while in factories and storage. I don't feel comfortable having that on me straight out package. And I really hate that synthetic smell they have when they are brand new.

I never iron bedding but if I'm feeling fancy sometimes I'll iron the pillow cases so they'll be nice and crisp 😂 Happens about three times a year.

Earlier this year, I was able to walk properly again after having nerve damage in my spine. I even wrote a post on here about being able to sashay. Not long after writing the post, I had a serious accident and collapsed through a glass table, damaging my spine again. It has been a rough time with lots of health issues but yesterday, I was able to do some
stretches that I couldn’t do before. I could feel the difference of it calming my
nervous system. My neighbours’ cat then came into my house and whilst she normally lets me give her a quick stroke before running off, this time the little babe was climbing on me, jumping up to get me to stroke her and was purring the whole time. After a really rough time, yesterday felt like the first step to getting back on the way to recovering. 🌞
