I finally, finally! left my awful toxic job! I’ve been so absolutely horribly miserable for the past 6 months, and tried so many ways to make it work. Thinking that I never have to go back there is such an unreal feeling!

My 8 month old son tested negative for E. coli O157 after 6 long and challenging months where he couldn’t seem to shed the bug and we were banned from pretty much any contact with babies because it can be deadly. It’s been an extremely rough and isolated time for a first time Mum with no ‘village’ and it looks like it’s finally over. He’s going to love getting the chance to be around other babies. The closest he’s got is sitting in the children’s waiting room at the hospital’s A&E after an accident at home, where he longingly eyed up the similarly accident prone baby next to him for ages.

My wedding dress turned up in the post today (from RIXO). I put it on and felt a million bucks! I’ve really struggled with self confidence and low self esteem my whole life, but it’s been absolutely horrendous since having two children, becoming a stay at home mum, giving up my active job and piling on the pounds and going up more dress sizes and stones than I care to admit. But it fit perfectly even over my massive melons and huge stomach 😂. I couldn’t believe it and I felt beautiful for the first time in years. Hopefully my partner thinks so too on our big day. But I’ve found my wedding dress… yippeee! So that’s what made me happy today! X

I went to the pool today for a swim for the first time in months. I was really nervous about it as I've scaled back exercise wise since I had my stroke. Anyway, I went with the plan to do 20 lengths but only went and smashed it by doing 40 in just over 50 mins (allowing 5 mins for a chat with someone I hadn't seen for ages!) So pleased with myself and even more so because I didn't struggle like I thought I would.

I would like to say that I'm motivated to do it again tomorrow morning but I can't be arsed with the faff of getting wet and having to wash and dry my hair again🤣 maybe next week!

I love throwing things away. I'm the complete opposite of a hoarder. I'm a thrower-wayer. Leave anything unattended for more than 3 days. Its going in the bin. Too many teddies, I'm collecting one a month to get rid of so they don't notice. Too much crap built up in the crap drawer, if I dont know what it is - bin.
I grew up in the 90s & 00s. My mums house and even still now was full of stuff. Random stuff window sills and shelves full of stuff.
Walking round the house with a bin bag, my idea of a good time 😆😆😆

A dress I’ve been admiring went in the sale and so I have treated myself and ordered it.

My car being repaired and passing it's MOT, and after a conversation with my manager today I also think I might not be being made redundant but that's still tbc!

It’s my birthday at the end of the month and a friend knows I haaaaaate my birthday so she sent me an ad hoc “unbirthday” present and when I say it smells amazing…I’m just out of the shower and I honestly smell like a millionaire’s shortbread!

My favourite time of the day when I can draw the curtains, lock the front porch door and feel totally shut off from the world. Love it.

A neighbour came over with her children unexpectedly. Had the paddling pool and water slide out, got the BBQ on and we were out there 7 hours 🙈 she only left because her husband was about to send out a search party 😂 was a lovely, chilled afternoon

Holding my son’s hand as he went off to sleep. We had such a nice day together today. He’s 7 months old tomorrow and he’s just the most precious little boy ❤.

My friend has started a walking group for women and I went along for one of her walks today. It was so chilled and strolling along in beautiful countryside chatting just felt really uplifting.

Went for a walk and a coffee with a friend this morning. She's been a bit down and messaged me after thanking me for listening and lifting her up. Made me feel lovely knowing id helped in the smallest way I could ❤
