My nephew took in an England flag in school today over the victory of England's win last night
The headteacher binned them and called them racist
She won't complain because she's a pussy
I hate this so much - one of my favourite school memories was going in late as we all got the morning off to watch England - we lost

Let kids be kids

I’ve just seen a video on instagram that his foster father took. He’s smiling and giggling. Made me tear up and feel physically sick at what his adopted parents did to him.

They probably are, I just hope their fun isn't spoilt by a bashed head or speeding car.
I don’t at all blame you for being annoyed and concerned. It’s difficult to disengage your “responsible adult” brain and just let kids be kids when 1. you see the legitimate risks and 2. are aware that they’re not in sight of anyone who is responsible.

Anyone who let's their kid on a bike or scooter without a helmet is irresponsible.

I'd feel betrayed tbh. More so if my dad had been enabling it. Sorry you're going through this

This makes me angry because every other country is allowed to fly their flag for their team, but no, English = racist apparently i don't think it's a good idea teaching kids that they are racist for supporting their football team. What effed up thinking that is. No wonder young boys grow up pissed off if they are told from they off that white English boys are all evil and stupid etc.

I bet Iranian and Iraqi fans can fly their flag in this country with no intervention...

At least Sainsbury's had England flags yesterday instore. I was actually surprised they dared.

What the Hell is the obsession with squishies? Is it a TikTok thing?

We've had a load sent into the store I work in and I'm sick of the groups of kids spending ages messing around with them, as well as all the ones that are being stolen or destroyed.

Even the ones we're actually selling will all be in the bin once the trend dies in a few weeks/months.

I’ve no idea what a squishy is but I read that as squashies and wondered why they would be messing round with sweets but then I’m a greedy piggy when it comes to sweets so probably says more about me

They're like plastic/rubber toys with gel in that you squeeze or "squish" and they either bounce back or slowly go back into shape. Weird things tbh. Although quieter than fidget toys at least.

Kids do mess around with sweets, as well, though!

My middle granddaughter is obsessed with squishmallows - she's got about 30 of them in varying sizes. My daughter has banned us from buying her any more and she's got loads of the sticky/squishy gel toys as well. They're allowed them in school apparently as it can be a form of self-soothing...

I'm seriously pissed off as our kids have decided to entertain Dad at home on Sunday by means of a BBQ. I've just had to order an extra food shop but if they think I'm doing any of it they've got another thing coming. He does fuck all for me on mother's day ever, so I'm not giving him a happy disney dad day thanks all the same.

But when did people become so rude my other rant is im waiting for a specialist to see me it’s a 5-6 week wait and I’m symptomatic now so praying it’s sooner rather than later

I've decided to go tonight when it's cooler. I think it's the humidity that gets me as I've been in dry heat and been fine.
