To all those who work in schools - have you/what would you do if you caught one of your students on their phone and they were posting on Tattle!?
I’d be lying if I said I enjoy it all of the time, but on the whole I do enjoy it. The part that frustrates me is that nothing is joined up and everything is very fragmented.

I’m doing a scheme at the moment looking at the power of the pen. One of the things we are covering is being critical of social media posts.
And that’s why I hate it when people thinks we Tattlers are trolls. The influencers are the real trolls with their photoshopped/ plastic bodies and selling their souls for Insta fame. I honestly feel sorry for teens nowadays, I even notice the huge difference between my fellow 80s born peers and my colleagues 10 years younger than me.

What are their career aspirations?Same, we just wanted to be skinny, wear fashionable (not necessarily expensive) clothes and also have thin eyebrows not these tattooed ones now. Really unusual now to hear young girls obsessed with big arses all of a sudden! Where and when did this trend start?That makes me feel so sad

It varies, some have very high aspirations I can’t say it’s all of them that are influenced. They want to be lawyers or actually one lad wanted to be a window cleaner and they were laughing at him and I was like what’s wrong with that if that’s what he wants. He’s contributing to society, he’s getting out abs about keeping himself fit and healthy. They ended up agreeing with me. But they are always on TikTok and using snap chat filters etc. Not in class obviously but I used to run after school gcse revision classes and at the end they’re always trying to show you stuff.That makes me feel so sad
I don’t teach pshe always but it’s one of those subjects you get roped into and I really enjoy doing the self esteem stuff. We always start out with pictures of celebs anc I say do you want to look like them and they say yes and I say so do they and Show them the filtered photos vs their real photos. They’re usually more shocked that men use filters too. It’s very eye opening for them.
I work in customer care at a worldwide known fast food restaurant-I’m the one who greets you,deals with your kids puke,throws teenagers out,help you order your food,delivers it to your table,deals with complaints etc etc all with a smile on my face
but I am also a trained hairdresser (not a mrs hinch type hairdresser-a real one) so I do that on the side to earn extra pocket money

I 'retired' almost a decade ago at the age of 30 to look after my kids. Prior to that I worked for local government in both Financial and Electoral Services and the also for the UK Consulate in Madrid. I'm lucky in that I don't need to work anymore, don't feel like going back either. What I do now is harder than any job I've had but I do miss the intellectual stimulation.
