I loved the characters of the three main coppers - Jennings, Brightwell (
) & Boyce. Fantastic casting there!I enjoyed the programme overall but when it's based on true people/events and you know how it all turned out and what happened later....well it's not difficult to see how some could take umbridge with the way everything/everyone was portrayed.
It must be tricky to strike the right balance between fact and fiction when creating a drama based on real life criminal events.

Happy Valley 1,2 and 3 - undoubtedly one of the best tv drama’s I have ever seen.
Each series is as good as its predecessor . Absolutely brilliant. I cannot recommend this show enough ( to anyone who hasn’t seen it).
