I can’t eat with the same spoon, fork, whatever, that I have used to spoon the food into a bowl or onto a plate. Because it’s got food on it 🤦‍♀️. I have to have a clean one. The thought of using the same one makes me 🤮

I don’t think it’s claustrophobia because it’s not necessarily small spaces (though it includes them) but I can’t handle being in a space big or small if I can’t get myself out/am relying on someone to get me out or move so I can get out. Like sitting in the back of a two door car or being in a locked place.
Also small spaces that I might get physically stuck in and/or run out of air.
You sound quite similar to me. Mines mainly open spaces were I feel trapped in a vast open space. It’s horrible. Why does the brain have to even think like that.

As a child I was terrified of ball pools due to being held under in one at one time. I thought I was going to get crushed or suffocate. As an adult I’m still not a fan, but mostly because they’re a breeding ground for germs.

Not a weird phobia I don’t think but I HATE lifts. So scared of them :( wish I could get over it as it causes me so much stress in everyday life!!! If I’m planning to go anywhere I always have to check if they have stairs!!

The film ET. Honestly, I’m terrified. No idea why, I even remember watching it quite happily as a young child. Even just thinking about it now and what it looks like and the noises it makes... my heart starts beating really fast and I feel like crying 😭😂 I try once a year to watch it and cure my fear but I always turn it off before it even comes on the screen 😅
I forgot about this One me too!!!! Everybody laughs at me. I was 5 when I watched it. It gave me nightmares for months and I’ve never watched it since

Boats and ships, absolutely terrified of them (must have been on titanic in a previous life)
Deep water
Fish
Clowns

Terrifed of ships to!! No one understands. I literally have panic attacks and almost pass out if I see one
Oh my God, finally someone who understands my fear of boats, ships and deep water. The thought of a huge ship at the bottom of the ocean makes me what to vomit!

Car ferries or any large ships. Especially container ships. I’m absolutely terrified of them. I’m also petrified of the circus, more specifically the big top. Even the sight of it makes me shiver.
The ships thing is similar to mine. Container ships freak me the fuck out why are they SO BIG. Have you seen those videos taken aboard ship in stormy seas? Christ alive they are terrifying

Another one is large things if anyone knows what I mean, an object that is just huge scares me, not tall buildings i don’t mean, just large things such as a huge ship or a huge statue when your so small, not sure if I make any sense whatsoever it’s just a feeling I get lol
This has a name it’s called megalophobia! I know exactly what you mean and it’s very common!

Not sure if this even counts as a fear but I can’t stand the feel of velvet/velour. I get literal chills and feel sick/sweaty if I touch it, especially if I rub it the ‘wrong’ way if that makes sense. I refuse to have it in the house.

Recently became scared of having surgery after having a dream the other week where they were trying to put me ‘under’ for surgery and it either wouldn’t work or I’d wake up just before they started slicing me up so they’d give me another ‘dose’ and the cycle would continue.I have no plans for any kind of surgery any time soon but now I’m scared of it when before I never really thought about it🤷🏻‍♀️

Microfibre cloths, they feel awful.

Flying, give me all the sedatives and vodka and I might get on the plane but my family know the risk of me refusing at the last minute.

Roller coasters, we go to Disneyland Paris (Eurostar usually) every couple of years and the big rides really make me feel sick. I have been talked into going on a couple of them (Tower of terror- hated it, couldnt feel my legs after and crushers coaster which is a young kids ride but actually scared the shit out of me) the tamer rides I am ok with though.

Condiments left on plates, vile stuff and I hate it when people just chuck ketchup covered plates in the sink, at least rinse them first.

Berries/anything Berry flavoured.
The look/smell honestly scares me 😂😩 can’t even touch them or anything related. Won’t even allow black currant squash in the house and couldn’t wash up a glass that it’s been in. Yes it does impact my life quite a lot 😂 I’m pregnant and honestly terrified of the day that my child gets berry stuff round their mouth...

I have this too - google trypophobia images, some of them are unbearable, to the point I feel extremely uncomfortable even thinking about them!
I also have a terror of metal in water, especially rusty metal in the sea!
Me too! I can't Google it due to the photos that come up .

Submarines, aeroplanes that have sunk underwater and shots of whales (especially orcas) in the sea from above make me freak out. Not sure what the name for this is though.
edit- Googled it, it’s called megalohydrothalassophobia- a phobia of large things in deep water. Be cautious when googling though as images come up that are awful.
I have thalassophobia and ichthyophobia. I can swim etc and can happily be on a beach (swimming in the sea I'm not too keen on) but the idea of being on a boat or in a plane and not being able to see any land is my idea of hell. Also can't think too much about the underneath of land and any large land mass that...floats? I can't explain but this photo sums it up:

I don't love looking at detailed maps of the world etc. I detest going through tunnels underwater. I actually think this may have started after going on a boat across the Irish Sea when I was 9 and being in a storm midway. I couldn't see any land, only waves, we couldn't stand up and people were grabbing onto everything for dear life 🤷‍♀️

I saw an eye of a fish my mum got from the fishmongers when I was a child and we both screamed, hence the ichthyophobia. I haven't eaten any seafood since that day. I can now look at fish, but I couldn't for 20+ years.

This thing. I hate it and I have done since I was a child. When I was little I used to run out of the room screaming when it came on screen. Even now it makes shivers run down my spine!
