- I have the fear of small holes (Trypophobia) - seeing a lotus seed head in particular makes me feel like I am about to vom
- Spiders - having 8 legs just isn’t normal and they are so fast and gross looking
- Cows - I have no idea why I am afraid of cows but I am terrified
- Not a phobia exactly but something from my childhood that still appears in my dream when I am having a nightmare - the bear from Teletubbies 🙈

I used to live with a girl that had really long nails, she always wore skirt and tights and would scratch her legs a lot. The sound of her nails on the tights OMG😷😷😷😷😭😭 I would have to get up and leave the room as soon as she started.
I fucking hate pigeons, even if I see one on the pavement I have to cross over the road to avoid it. The thought of its wing touching my face turns my stomach.

My Mum hates piers. Anything you're crossing and can see between the slats to below. There's a point in Blackpool Pleasure Beach she always avoided too because you could see a ride passing underneath. Me and Dad used to wind her up when I was little, but now I have my own phobias I'm more sympathetic!
Can't stand Piers Morgan. Urgh. Shivers down my spine.

Fish tanks. Specifically larger ones that could crash and the water drown me or sharks escape and bite me.

My weird one is frogs / toads. Harmless but the way they look (their ‘skin’) makes me feel sick. I’d rather touch a dead body than a frog. I hate their bulgy eyes and I hate the ‘ribbit’. Mostly I hate the unexpected way they move. When I was a kid one jumped on my bare foot and I think that’s where it started. Managed to avoid them mostly in life. I’m an animal lover but honestly if a frog came at me I would kick it out of the way (sorry)

Not fears but just make me really uncomfortable / sick feeling -
1) when people click their fingers. I hate the way it sounds, it makes me shiver. Hate the way it looks too. Surprisingly, people do it a lot.
2)
False / acrylic nails. Absolutely hate the way they sort of flex / bend, it makes me fee queasy. To be honest, all long finger nails make me feel odd, I just keep mine super short, haven’t been able to cope when they have grown. Shame as I do like the way long nails look.

Not a phobia but makes me heave everytime...

Wet kitchen roll/toilet roll!! When cleaning up a spillage I have to use rolls and rolls so my hands aren’t touching the wet bit and I can’t see any “wetness”. It’s just vile. All soggy and grim 🤢

The Co-op. Seriously, the logo is enough to make me nauseous. I tried going into one a few years ago to conquer the phobia but I ended up being I’ll for three days.

When I was a kid we shopped there all the time but around 13 this phobia developed and steadily got worse.

Weird but due to life experiences I think:
Escalators - I fell down one as a small child after an older woman stopped at the top to gossip to a friend she'd spotted, as I have dyspraxia with bad balance I fell all the way back down, thus hate them now.
Mirrors - I used to have very bad self image and body dysmorphia, still dislike them, but tolerate them now.
Lights - Bright lights or flashing lights just no for me.
People in my face - I was abused as a kid by a sibling, so if anyone comes right up to me I hate it and freak out (probably as expect them to attack me). Some dentists and opticians get it, some don't and keep going even after seeing I'm in tears.

holes/textures too. Immediately imagine them on me and whats lurking in the holes 😭🤮

Im not good with heights, my legs turn to jelly & i get that awful/weird urge to jump 😱

also scared of the dark 🙃
Sameeeee! I am scared of the dark too and my personal fear in life is to be lonely in a dark place all by myself. I'm working on getting better at not being scared of dark though and also to not feel claustrophobic in small closed places.

This is pathetic I know but as a kid I used to find the Beast from Beauty and the Beast terrifying. Specifically two scenes; when Belles father is in the chair and he turns and the beast is there, and the scene where he screams at belle “GO AHEAD AND STARVE” 😂😂😂 legit both of those scenes still fill me with fear 😂

So basically it’s a phobia of a cartoon

Thought of another one, the human statues you get in some city centres. Completely freak me out. I have to walk in a huge arc to get as far away as I can to walk past in case they suddenly move

Holes! Small holes all gathered together 🤢🤢🤢 my sister used to cut crumpets in half across and I couldn’t look at her! Always thought I was a weirdo and they’d give me the creeps and send shivers down my spine, but there is an actual phobia of it called Trypophobia 🤮
I was exactly the same! For years I tried to explain it and no one understood, eventually stumbled across the term online and felt enlightened. Luckily I don’t encounter clusters of small holes on a regular basis so it doesn’t cause any bother
