Dinner/drinks and out to a bar or club if that’s your thing. Then everyone can go home after, no ones having to pay for hotels, and it’s contained to one night out.
Disagree. Hen parties - and the whole notion of having a hen weekend or a bleeping foreign holiday dressed up as a hen party has become utterly ridiculous. If you want to go on a weekend away or a holiday with your friends then fine but don’t try to force people to go by using the emotional pull of it being connected to the wedding to do so.It's your wedding. I’m not having a hen party as such, more of a meal and cocktails kind of thing or a spa day. Two of my party (maid of honour and my mum) are disabled and struggle to walk, so I’m planning around them. Also my MOH struggles a lot financially, so I’m probably going to pay for her if we do a spa as I don’t want her to miss out.
To be honest, I don’t like full on drinking seshes anyway so I don’t feel like im missing out.

Agreed, this would be my worst nightmare. pen straws and all that as well, I find it so awful
There's no way I'd force anyone to go but I'd like to think my closest friends and family would be mad excited for a weekend away for me, as I am for theirs!

That rings some bells! I'm male and actually used to model nude for artists - at an art college, not on a hen night! I was careful about my hygiene though!
They do indeed. My mate had one - he danced around her like something out of Magic Mike taking all his clothes off and then when he just had a thong on he started putting chocolate sauce and whipped cream On his stomach that she had to lick off etc and he was doing all sorts of gyrating his fool

It was just too much. I mean he was up for a laugh and he was dead nice after when we gave him a drink and he was standing chatting to us all (with a robe on thank god!) but yeah it was just so overtly sexual - at one point he had her sitting on a chair and he was doing some sort of dancing where he was almost laying on her and thrusting away and then he put her hands on his bare ass checks and was pretending she was giving him a BJ…. He had a tiny thong on, which his balls were hanging out of and I mean you could see EVERYTHING! Never again - it was just so embarrassing!!!!

We’re going to sort everything in the new year. We’re planning on going to Iceland for 5 days for our honeymoon.
It’s only taken 12 years to get him down the aisle.
