See I know some parents who would love a wedding without their children as it gives them a night off! I might be a cold-hearted witch but, I really don’t care about not inviting family members who are not significant in my life. Thankfully, as we are getting married abroad, we aren’t having a massive wedding. When I get home, I plan on sending some relatives who didn’t come a card with some photos etcSee my mum said this and I just went fine if people won't come just because I don't invite their kids and they gave to get a babysitter, then they don't care enough anyway. Plus saves me 90 a head thenI have very little patience for family members that feel entitled towards my wedding.

Same I’m just having my niece because she’s a flower girl but she’s going after the ceremonyMy partner and I are paying for the wedding ourselves. We have a little boy. He has a 3 yeR old nephew and 1 year old niece and I have a niece on the way currently. Ugh my mother in law to be is trying to invite all the random people we don’t even know!!! I’m like no way you’re not paying a single penny towards this wedding and we just dont have the numbers for randomersWe visited 3. I had more booked but we knew the first was the one so cancelled the rest.
Our guest list went a bit mental. My parents in law to be want to invite everyone they’ve ever met. I ended up having to tell them if they wanted people to come they could pay for them. They actually did
close aunties and uncles and grandparents that’s it for family!

Too many kids at a wedding, from what I've seen, make it a bloody circus.
I've looked after weddings before where the parents of the children aren't watching their kids because they're getting pissed somewhere and the kids are just running riot. I had to at one wedding kinds of shoo the kids away because they kept knee sliding around the dance floor when the couple were having their first dance and they were in the way of them and the photographer
Plus some of the other people my partner and I know who have children, their children are little spoilt people and won't behave because we've seen them not even behave in a restaurant never mind a wedding.
To keep the little ones that are coming entertained, we booked a company that come and set up teepees, a colouring table and a mini soft play with a ball pit, it'll essentially be a "kids corner" and jt works great with our venue because we've got this like mini room almost just off from the dance floor so we'll be able to see them and know their safe but they'll still be able to have their own space. I think were going to set up maybe my old laptop or something as well with some movies. During the meal were getting them all children's place mats that have colouring in and activities on them.

Lordy, that’s a lot of effort and expense to keep kids quiet at a wedding! I wouldn’t be pandering to them like that, I’d just not have them there! My opinion is, it’s a WEDDING - it’s not meant to be a kids party. But that’s just me!

We have invited our immediate family, and three friends each (all with a plus one), so will be 24 adults and one under three, unless any other babies come along. I added up the ‘obliged to invite if we were getting married in the UK’ list just for a laugh and I think it came to 96..! Absolutely no thank you! Not to mention the cost.

We're getting married September 2022 in Kos, it's a beach wedding and BBQ for reception with private bar and DJ on the beach. We've been engaged since 2019 but will have been together 8 years by time we get married, we also have a 3 year old daughter. There's going to be around 40 of us for the wedding which suits us perfectly.
Have people bought their dresses? I got mine in September from a little boutique in Yorkshire and I'm in love. Definitely want to lose a few more pounds before the wedding day though, I've lost 19lb in the last year just through portion control and walking more.

I bought my dress a couple months ago from wed2be it was the first shop I went to only to try some on without the intention of buying anything but ended up buying the first dress I tried I loved it! I just need to get it slightly altered nowI loved some of the wed2be dresses! They are lovely. I actually ended up with a complete bargain because I tried on about 10 dresses in this boutique without knowing the prices of any of them (I'd told them my max budget), I fell completely in love with one of them and it made my mum cry, and after I'd said it was the one the sales assistant let me know that it had been reduced from £1,500 to £750 in the sale and it just happened to be in my correct sizeOh I would love a beach wedding
it will still need some adjustments as the straps were quite big on my shoulders and I imagine it might be too big in places if I lose some more weight but I'm so happy with itI’m also probably going for a wed2b dress, they’re so reasonable and lovely! I have an appointment at another boutique next week to try some plainer, simple dresses, as I feel that’s one area where wed2b doesn’t have that much choice, and will decide after that.
I’m definitely getting two though, and will change for the evening reception (it will be hot and I think a shorter dress will help a lot), but I’m thinking of getting a Self Portrait dress for that so only £300 tops. Should be able to get both for less than the cost of one dress from some places!! Also means I can go for two different styles I hope that makes it easier to decide on the one!

I’ve had my dress made as the dress I wanted didn’t exist. I wanted kind of a mixture of a few things. I’m so excited to see it completed! I’m undecided on an evening dress, I feel it might be a bit extra to get another but, then think, well it’s the only time I’m going to do it!
So as I said a few pages back I bought a brand new second hand wed2b dress. It's arrived. It's stunning....the seller put in the under skirt and veil worth £130 so that means the dress cost £60!
I highly recommend getting a second hand dress as sadly so many girls have had to cancel their weddings
