A 0.8/10 on meta critic and no publications have reviewed as they haven't had enough time yet.

So annoying, I'd love Zelda OoT or vice city to play. But it's not worth spoiling it with these poor remasters

The head of Grove Street Games sounds like a bit of a twit. Rockstar should be absolutely livid, but who knows if they even care anymore. They are mere puppets for Take Two at this point it seems. Maybe Sam Houser and Lazlow left for good reason after all.

I was hoping ruffian games/rockstar Dundee would have been the ones behind any remasters, they seem to have a good reputation for that kind of work. I’d love to know the justification for using GSG. I find it hard to believe Rockstar are ok with having one of their legacy franchises tarnished like this.

I saw a list of the songs that have been taken out of the Vice City and San Andreas remasters and there are so many bangers that have disappeared. I am quite biased as I've been against the remasters since the beginning, I think the jank is all part of the charm of the earlier games. They couldn't even be bothered to add in a swimming mechanic which I think would've been interesting. How would you all rank the existing 3D GTA games? I would go Vice City > 3 > San Andreas > 5 > 4.

Forza Horizon 5 is brilliant and on Game Pass - recommended.

Gonna give GTA San Andreas a bash today but from what I've heard it's not a typical remaster, as I'm the graphics are still poor.

Like you all I was really hoping the gta trilogy would be good! As I said before I don't think I ever actually completed the games fully originally so I was hoping to be able to do that but from Gameplay I've seen so far I just can't justify spending that much money on it! Hopefully they can make some tweaks to improve it slightly but I'm not sure if that's possible. I watched a comparison video of the original version, pc original, 10 year anniversary edition and the definitive edition and the pc original looked better in my opinion. I think they should have either done a full remake like the Mafia game and completley improve it or just not bothered and focused on gta 6. Rockstar is my favourite game company, I love all of their games so it is a bit sad how this has gone. I don't know if it's Grove Street games that's ducked it up so much but like @Ibrokethegoddamnwheel said rockstar must have signed off on it knowing it was tit!

It's that rain affect that looks the worst. I can forgive the crappy character models and typos they have from automatically trying to remaster it. But they added this and think it's fine? It couldn't take more than a couple of minutes to adjust it to make it more playable. Not being able to see when it's dark in a game is my least favourite thing.



They had all the time and money to do this properly and rushed this. All the vastly superior fan mods have been taken down, couldn't they of worked together?

They've messed up the colour grading also. Look how subtle the rain was:


It doesn't take a genius to realise that old games were designed with hardware limitations in mind and these need to be accounted for when remastered.

Rockstar is my favourite game company, I love all of their games so it is a bit sad how this has gone.

I think like all these companies, a few key people leave and that's it done for. Remember when rare was great? Then Microsoft bought them, loads of people left and they never had another good game.

Bit gutted the GTA Trilogy looks tit. They are my three fave GTA games ever.

I haven't found OoT to be too bad, but I've only played handheld (and don't have an OLED). Mario Kart 64 I found almost unplayable though.

I'm definitely waiting for (I hope!) patches before I take the plunge on GTA though and it won't be the same in vice city with a few of the best songs gone!

It's a bit sad that not too bad is the bar set . I'm waiting for OoT to run pretty well and not ruin it - the borders they don't let you turn off and I'm worried about burn in on my oled TV

I'm tempted to get an Xbox s as apparently it's easy to get retro arch installed on it and it plays old games really well. Sure it's piracy but when they keep messing up their old games and it's the best way to play old Zelda or GTA I'm not going to feel too bad.

The only game I'm really waiting for is gta6, but that might never come out or when it does the game might not even be that good.

Mario 64 on switch runs well enough. I'm not convinced rockstar will ever fix GTA trilogy to run well.

It's kinda mind-blowing how in Japan 98.5% of console sales last month were Nintendo switch. Some of that is down to supply issues, but not all and this is a years old console Vs next gen

I think in general in Japan they prefer Nintendo over anything else, since its a Japanese company they probably have better deals on the switch over the rest plus the games for switch are more catered to their taste, there's ALOT of those story type games where you just read an click on responses to change the story around, I have some myself by overall I like playing a actual game

Well Sony is a Japanese company also and the PlayStation with the Japanese exclusives did used to sell well. But Xbox they've never really liked over there. I think the original was hated for being big and weird, the new next gen consoles are pretty big and cumbersome. Maybe that's something to do with it?

Things like final fantasy can they really carry on doing for the PS when the audience isn't there?

Sony has the benifit of having a really huge following outside of Japan, although the switch has a pretty big following as well I think it's still mainly the biggest in Japan, the fact you can carry it around I think helps since I would imagine most that travel a lot may have one, I can picture more buisness traveller's having a switch over there than I can in any other country

But I do agree that the xbox is pretty bulky, the ps5 is huge as well, neither are able for travelling, the only thing saving xbox the now is the game pass where you can pick up where you left off on a phone, tablet or laptop etc, I believe PlayStation are going be starting their own version soon which honestly if they didn't I could see it falling behind both xbox an the switch, they will need to offer just as good a library for it to be a huge success, if they do the same as xbox where it can be played anywhere I can really see it being a huge battle between the 3 for new customers

In our household I've just gone back to Breath of the Wild after finishing Psychonauts 2 last week (thoroughly recommend), and the other half is fully invested in the new Halo game. We've also been dabbling in Evil Genius 2 which is really fun.

I couldn't get to grips with evil genius 2, couldn't work out what to do

I've completed omno, carto, Edith finch, twelve minutes, lost world's an subliminal the past few weeks, loved them all

Been having a little time on forza 5 and Minecraft after the dropped the update, and also some halo

I really need to get breath of the wild completed as well as cyberpunk, watch dogs, assassins creed etc I really want voice of cards so I'll see if that goes on sale

I've heard steam have a ton of games, I just can't afford a pc unfortunately, my switch come as part of my phone contract an the xbox was present money I saved up, I love the game pass since it gives me access to a ton of games, but I feel the switch is really expensive in games, I have a Japanese account to get some cheaper but not all are in English

Switch games are so expensive! I only ever really buy ones on sale and then I got BOTW for my Christmas last year.

We bought a gaming pc this April and it’s been 100% worth the money. I did put it on finance though but only have two more payments to make now It’s a whole different ball game though as it’s never complete - we’ve changed almost everything from our original set up. Think it’s just the case, motherboard and cpu that are originals now we have Xbox Game Pass for the pc and it’s great having access to so many games.

Iv been playing san andreas on the game pass and it's super glitchy!
