I've finally got round to playing RDR2 after somehow avoiding spoilers for three years. I tried playing it on my old PC but didn't enjoy it because the hardware wasn't powerful enough to run it properly. Now I've got a new machine and whacked all the graphics settings up to ultra and it's stunning. Does anyone else panic when they have to name things in games? When I bought my first horse I had a complete brain malfunction and now my horse is called Weasel 😑
Can't look at any horse, real or virtual, without thinking of Jack Monroe's infamous lasagne sauce, so one of my horses is called Lasagne 😂

"It'll thicken up" 😭😬🤢

I'm working my way through Assassin's creed origins, love the setting but wish they'd picked an earlier time period than the Ptolemaic dynasty, can't help feeling like they've done it so I can meet Cleopatra and Caesar at some point, but I wanted proper pharoahs, not a bunch of Greeks and Romans!

Knowing assassin's creed I'll probably end up carrying the carpet Cleopatra hiding in to help her meet Caesar, manage to accidentally bump into every well known person on the street from this time period & then accidentally burn down the library of Alexandria. It's amazing how good these assassins are at networking, I imagine a modern day AC game would have us helping Beyoncé storm a Templar stronghold.

Modern day assassins creed would certainly be something. I’m thinking GTA with parkour.

Set it in the 90’s and you can help Vanilla Ice stop, collaborate and listen. Or help the spice girls locate their relic tour bus.

Unsubscribed from PS Now. This month's games were highly disappointing for me. I like Final Fantasy but it's a bit cheeky to include one of the series each month when they're all already available on xbox game pass their competitors🙄

Judgment is amazing. I've gotten to chapter 8 and I'm loving it. The side quests are quite easy and I'm really looking forward to the second one that's out soon.

Looking forward to seeing what Paralives becomes.

Stray is a game im super excited to play too. Cute little backpack kitty. View attachment 751316
Oh I remember watching the trailer for this ages ago and it looked brilliant! I’m excited for this to be released too. My husband is excited for the new far cry but I hope it’s not a repetitive as the others.

Absolutely love this thread thank you!

Started off with master system alex the kid oh wow and then up to sonic.

I had a game gear with a sonic game but wow that lasted all of 5 minutes it never lasted using Duracell batteries for more than an hour and kept shutting off so took it back and got a gameboy my love for tetris grew thanks to that and also introduced me to mario (that was the in game then) i remember the song dj funk ambassadors or something the mario land rap 😂 because of that game

I love the PlayStations i think more than xbox the only reason why i love xbox is for lips the karaoke game and then they have stopped that and also the kinnect madly in love with the animal game on there I think Sing star on ps is crap wouldn't bother wasting money on it.
Did Anyone else love the dancemat era brought out on PlayStation? Wow what a fun calorie burner that was and yes I still have mine 😂😂

the wii, i love it badly still have mine with the wii board and games best games on that are the sports with bowling etc and exerbeat wow i lost 2 stone doing the exercises on that 👌🏼. i also have the 2nd one the wii u i purchased a clip on pedometer just to get the free download of the wii fit u. and also the lego dimensions wow with a son crazy into lego that was amazing but now its all gone downhill and there's nothing like it we got the disney adventure thing similar to the dimension but didn't have a clue what to do lol.
Im not a pc gamer but i will sit and play sims 4 now and then my 2 daughters love the sims 2 and say its the best one ever but i do like the 4 making people and building my dream home over and over again lol

i love spyro the dragon and have recently got the trilogy for my switch lite so im ready to be lost in that oh and i am loving animal crossing too

I still have the nintendo ds love the nintendogs game the daschund version only because of the huskies and psp too crazy taxi but mainly some driving games 😂

Psychonauts 2? I played and loved the first game on PS2 years ago. There was talk of a sequel for ages, I squeaked with joy when I learnt it was out August 25th.

I got it on PlayStation, played a couple of hours so far and it is amazing. If you like the original, you will not be disappointed with this one.
I’ve been playing this today after being reunited with my gaming PC (OH has had to move away to care for family and took the pc with him) and I’m loving it! I never played the original but he had downloaded it for me coming up as he thought it would be my kind of game! Going to set up my old gaming laptop and see if it will run on that for when I get back home ☺

I have an Xbox One that I adore. CoD is about the only thing I play on it, and I suck at it. I used to play Halo a good bit.

I have an over built “gaming” PC that I’ve never gamed on, just video editing and mining.

My workstation:
Asus Crosshair VIII
Ryzen 5950X
EVGA RTX3080 FTW Ultra
Trident Z 64GB RAM
2x Samsung Pro 1TB NVME
2x WD Red 8 TB (Raid 1)

I have a homelab that is a lot of fun, but not sure if anyone here is into that.

Just bought Tales of Arise and sank a couple of hours into it tonight, it's great! Strong recommend if you are into JRPGs, if you haven't played a Tales game before. It's very beautiful ♥

Also you can put accessories and costumes on your characters for no real reason other than amusing yourself. I put a monocle on one character and now I'm in love with her 😂

So the new GTA5 e&e trailer from the ps showcase showed exactly nothing new. And there was nothing about GTA6 or the supposed remakes either. Rockstar are one of my favourite developers but I’m getting really tired of all their ‘secrecy’ now. It’s not fun or mysterious anymore it’s just irritating. They must have something new for this ‘expanded and enhanced’ version otherwise what’s the hold up? I need a bloody good reason to buy this game for a third time (when I eventually get a ps5).

You’ve got developers like CD Projekt Red who go overboard with the marketing of cyberpunk and promise things then don’t deliver. Then at the other end of the scale you’ve got the likes of Rockstar and Bethesda who give away precisely nothing until the day before release and drive fans absolutely crazy in the mean time. I guess they actually deliver when their games eventually do come out, so there’s that. But I can’t deal with nearly a decade wait for new games and constant rehashes of Skyrim and GTA5😅

GTA fans are really not happy with the trailer. The PS5 version has received 27,000 likes and 156,000 dislikes on you tube.
I can see why folk are unhappy the trailer looked pretty rubbish with not much new on it. The pressure is now on Rockstar now to pull something out the bag.

I bought Watch Dogs: Legion on sale and whilst it’s not a total masterpiece it’s not too bad. The lack of main protagonist is interesting, story is ok although I’ve not finished it yet. The map is my favourite though, they did a really good job with London.

Bit of a swerve off topic:
Does anyone have a Nintendo switch, is it good for younger kids? My almost 4y/o is really good at the PS4. he can climb up wall/shoot webs on Spider-Man Miles Morales, so I’m undecided if to get him some PS4 games up an upcoming birthday or Christmas, or do we get a switch?

I don’t mind the PS4 but feel like the switch might be more age appropriate in terms of fine motor skills/making play more interactive instead of sitting with a controller?

Got my kids a switch for Christmas last year, they were 8 & 5 at the time. I think the switch would be perfect for your son, he’s just at the right age for it and already has experience playing console so he should be pick it up really quickly. There are tonnes of games for the switch that are suitable for his age group and that he won’t find too hard. I think the controller is better for smaller hands. You’ve also got the added advantage of it being portable too so you can take it on holiday or in the car or what ever.

No problem! One thing I will say is get a screen protector for it as well, as the screen itself on the switch isn’t the best and can scratch quite easily even when putting it in/out of the dock, but a tempered glass screen protector will well, protect it from that lol.

Oh god yeah what a great tip! He’s already scratched my iPhone dropping it, it’s needs all the protection it can get!

That's good to know. I've been considering getting it for a while after I played watch dogs 2 and absolutely loved it. I went back and played watch dogs 1 (which I'd played before and not enjoyed at all) and found that OK but after hearing the bad reviews for legion I got put off getting it. Might give it a go next when I get through my pile of games I haven't even got round to playing yet 😂

It definitely has its faults but it’s not unplayable. Just one of those games you can mess about and have fun with.

I quite enjoyed Watch Dogs 2, probably because the radio stations were really good but I dunno how I feel about not being a single player character. Part of the reason I didn't like GTA5 very much was because of the multiple player characters. Has anyone played Deathloop? It's from the same studio that made the Dishonored games. It was getting absolutely rinsed on Steam upon release but the reviews look more favourable now.

I'm about forty hours into RDR2 now. I've just bought a speedy new horse. As much as I loved Weasel, it was time to upgrade to ...Digestivebiscuit.

Finished Watch Dogs Legion. It’s an okay game, not amazing or mind blowing but playable and fun most of the time. Voice acting and the accents is they used were so cringe. I also had loads of people In my team with the same voice😂 I think they need more voice actors for variety I swear there’s only about 10 of them.

The ending was abrupt, just felt like it cut to the credits really quick. And there’s not really much to do after the story. At some point I’m going to get the season pass for the Bloodlines DLC, it features Wrench from 2 and Aiden from 1.

I’ve got a free trial for PSNow and am currently playing Red Dead Redemption which has to be steamed rather than downloaded. I must say I’m really impressed so far, it runs really smoothly and I haven’t had any issues with lag. Hopefully I can finish it before the trial finishes🤣 you definitely need a decent internet connection for it.

Rumour has it the gta remasters/remakes are going to be announced on the 22nd October, which is the 20th anniversary for GTA3.
