A place to discuss gaming, from arcade machines and 8-bit system classics to modern releases. First game you remember playing? Favourite console? Favourite game of all time? Which game have you put the most hours into? How many games have you bought on Steam that you've never played even once? How many times did you remove ladders from the swimming pool and make a collection of the inevitable gravestones in the garden in The Sims? I simply must know.

1. I think it was a Super Mario Bros game for PC when I was in primary school .

2. I will be extremely biased because it's the only one I've owned so far, but I'd choose Nintendo DS. (A Nintendo Switch is on the way .)

3. The Sims 2 or Animal Crossing: Wild World.

4. I only bought one game on Steam and earned the maximum score in both Steam and Android versions . For that reason, I cannot give a proper answer.

5. I felt the temptation to do so, but I didn't. However, I managed to kill everyone in a huge fire .

So does this mean they've completely remade the game from scratch? I get so confused with the 'remastered', 'definitive' etc tags haha.

Will definitely be getting this. I never actually completed any of the games. Gta 3 I didn't get very far at all as I was quite young and I think our game would crash alot too and in gta vice City I just used to do the flying car cheat and get the car that looked like the car in Harry Potter 2 and fly around . San Andreas I got the furthest in but I still don't think I got to the last island so would be really interested to replay them all as an adult.

I guess we won't be getting a new rockstar game for a while then though

I think they’ll be remasters, hopefully decently done though with noticeable improvements. I’ve got my fingers crossed for a remake, where they’ve built the game from the ground up again, but I’ll be getting them regardless!

I’m dying, absolutely DYING for a Red Dead Redemption remake/remaster. Maybe this time next year?? I’m playing the original now and it’s a little janky. You do get used to it but I feel like it definitely could do with an upgrade to do the series justice.

I think they’re still quietly working on GTA6. I doubt they required all their studios to be working on the trilogy.

My partner downloaded Horizon 4 last weekend and has played it non-stop! I can hear it right now… he’s really excited for Horizon 5 and also for Age of Empires 5 that comes out soon too all on Game Pass

I've been loving game pass, being able to try out games without feeling I've wasted £50 is great an it's also given me choices of games I'd never think about getting, I've been really enjoying the more laid back story games, omno, lost words, carto, Edith finch, twelve minutes etc I'd really recommend them, absolute amazing games an some are beautiful as well, lost words especially was really beautiful

Am looking forward to forza 5, had 4 for a while an just enjoy driving about mostly, am not really much of a shooter game fan so it's nice game pass isn't heavy on those an gives us other options

You'll have to let us know how you get on with it! I try to avoid pre-ordering as a rule (since the last game I ever pre-ordered was mass effect Andromeda ) but I'm hoping if they're good to get one after Xmas 2022

The idea is fantastic, love the idea of playing my steam library on the go or on the TV, and baldurs gate 3 should be out by then too, which there is no way my laptop will be able to run!!

Well since it's on gamepass and I've been in the mood for a fighting game, I've been trying out injustice 2 for the past couple weeks as I'm a huge fan of mortal Kombat and this was made by same developers. It's...ok. The gear lootbox system is diabolical one of the most cynical cash grabs I've seen. Recycled dialogue is noticeable BUT each character does feel very different from one another and the story mode was brilliant. Mortal Kombat 11 blows it out of the water though, no comparison it just feels so much less clunky than this.

@traumatised sideboard and any other visitors to the RoadsideMum threads may understand why this dialog made me leap out of my skin by the way

I don't think that Rockstar are in a rush to publish a new game is they can still milk GTA5 and this trilogy as well. They are into playing safe, or that what it seems.

I'm excited to play it but I have been watching the trailer and it does look a bit cartoon-y? Not sure if that's just how I'm seeing it but yeah, I'll probably still grab it. It's £54 ish on release just before Christmas though. I love rockstar games so I do hope they come out with something new soonish, but not looking likely!

They are working on a new gta, they have been in miami filming apparntly but could be another year or two off, I think red dead 2 took a lot of the focus away from the new gta an then then wanted more updates foe gta5

I can't wait for the GTA trilogy. There's lots of people shitting over bits they've messed up but overall it'll probably be worth it especially with the quality of life improvements like restarting missions. I played them in the past but never got round to actually finishing but will be great to have on switch.

I'll probably start with vice city.

Everyone should stop spending any money on GTA5. It's their fault that no new game has come out while it's still making so much cash. I've got no interest in online, I want 40 ish hours of a great single player campaign.

Rockstar have disabled the PC version of GTA trilogy, what a mess. I was going to buy it for switch this weekend but might wait and see if they fix things. The rain does look annoying and frame rates can be improved as unofficial releases ran better.

I wonder if in 6 months if it'll run much better or if they're done with it?

The GTA Trilogy looks disappointing to say the least. So many unnecessary bugs and glitches that really should have been ironed out during testing, the games look unfinished. The rain looks awful, frame rates are tit, hit boxes are missing in some areas of the map, bridges disappear in front of your eyes. Don’t get me started on the character models, some of them look like Sims. You’d think Rockstar/Grove Street Games would have learnt from the Cyberpunk debacle. At first I thought people were being nit picky, but the more I hear about it the more apparent it is that these games are quite lazily done and not worth the rrp. The trailer looked great. It’s such a shame.

I won’t be buying it yet, certainly not at full price. Hopefully they can sort it out. This will be a stain on Rockstar’s reputation for sure. The developers at GSG should be ashamed putting out such a shoddy product.

Same. It clearly wasn't ready but they've rushed to release it. Even the companies known for quality games are messing it up.

It should have been apparent ages ago they weren't going to be ready in time.

They should have released it as a trilogy but spent time getting one of them polished and release the other two next year. People would rather have one decent than three running a bit meh.

I keep meaning to look into getting the fan made ones running as they look far better done, but seems like a lot of effort.

Almost unbelievable they've rolled out an update to disable the game all together on PC.

It's kinda worth it for the memes, but I'd prefer a game.

What a pity! Thanks for saving me from spending 60 euros on the trilogy. I guess we'll have to wait until we can get a decent version.
