Have they said anything about GTA online?
I don't play it anymore (unless I can open a private server) because people are shitheads.

Not review site but we love Gameranx on YouTube for game content. They do great list videos but also do a “before you buy” series which we always watch when we are considering getting new games.

Has anyone else played Cairn? I played it last week and was obsessed with it for a good few days. Gorgeous art style and the climbing mechanics were really clever. I found it so engaging.
yeah, that cairn looks interesting/something a bit different. I reckon I'll give it a go.
I've just reinstalled GTA V for the fourth time.
4 x trying not to lose interest and be unable to continue with it out of a kind of entropy, generalised meh bleh.
Partly it's the simplified driving physics which was a concious design choice on their part this installment but I just can't get into it for some reason. It's weird cos I finished the others and enjoyed GTA 4 on the whole.
I find the setting really bland too compared with the others.
Underwhelming radio stations also IMO.
Liberty city in GTA 3 is still my favourite geography/design wise. I liked the way it rained all the time and the grittiness.
I must just be allergic to GTA V.
I've only typed this lot to avoid continuing with it TBH.

Anyone use gaming laptops and could tell me whether this is any good? Mine is dying a death so it's time to replace it, I mainly only play Planet Zoo, Rival Stars & Sims 4

Or if that one isn't very good are there any others people would recommend for under £1k?
I think you'd probably get on OK with this one for the games you are playing :)

It is a shame. I only play with my Sister so it works nicely having a shared thing we can do. But I wouldn't be keen on opening it up to others
I know, I enjoy games like this to be able to meet new people but the lack of control you have with what players do is what ruins it, it would be a easy fix to sort the gols into your own personal an you get a % of them if you have contributed to builds, at least that way no one can spend what you have earned an it discourages people from not doing anything an benefiting as right now once builds are done then everyone gets gols even if they have done nothing, it should also be that work tables can't be lifted from anyone other than then host an the buildings in the base can't be destroyed either unless it's the host

Might check out this game you guys are talking about. Could we somehow create a co-op with a group from here? Or does it have to be open to anyone to join?
It does have a option to add just your friends, you can have it as invite only or open to anyone, an I'd be open to playing with you guys, always looking for those that enjoy the same games I do, the guys I game with are great but it's mostly SoT or shooters we play 😅 can't get them to come on the cosy games

Is anyone else playing neverness to everness? Am actually surprised at the detail that's went into it for a F2P, the fact you can get arrested an jailed then having to do time makes me hope the new GTA do that, the whole getting 5 stars then hiding till they pass kindi makes it feel a bit pointless when there's no actual consequence, where as with this one you do actually get jailed in it an you have options on how you want to get out, but if you break out an get caught then it adds more days to your time

My other half notices the smallest little graphic details while gaming it's insane. I'll be running around on a game that's really graphically complex, like Cyberpunk or the new Avatar game, and he'll make me stop because there was a tiny screen tear or something "looked jarring" that I didn't even notice and he'll go in to the graphics settings and fiddle about with it until it looks "perfect" - and to me it all just looks the same 🤣 🤣
Haha I'd be the same. I notice obvious screen tearing, but anyone with eyes would!

Are you enjoying Cyberpunk and Avatar? I know Cyberpunk was riddled with problems when it launched but I hear it's much better now after they released a patch.

Does anyone else play my time at sandrock online? Decided to try the online version as it's also on gamepass, would like to open my game to get more people in as it's getting more time consuming to do the co-op builds, so just wondering if I do open it

Can they access my chests?
I know it's shared gols, can they spend them all? Or can I limit/put a block on it?
If they leave do they take whatever was on them with them? Or does it go into the public storage?
Can they pick what builds we are doing?

There doesn't seem to be much info online an the game really doesn't tell you a lot either, just don't want to open my game, have someone spend all the gols, fill their inventory full of stuff an choose builds that's going take forever then leave the game

I haven’t did a whole lot. Im also not a “pro” player. To be honest, I’ve never got past year one.

I‘m in Autumn of year 1 and I’ve upgraded two tools, got two chickens and build the silo. And got the first house upgrade. Saving for another coop.
I am on fall 1 and I feel like I've not done anything. Most of the tasks the villagers want me to do are impossible

Is anyone playing aloft? I want to change home island but am having a hard time trying do it, I kindi just settled on the first island that looked ok but it's really small an now it seems a small island isn't the best due to how many animals you can have on it

1/Has any played any good games over xmas/what were they?
2/ Anyone looking foreward to any releases in 2026?

I haven't had a chance till yesterday but am now playing BF 6 which is underwhelming /bleh.
I want to play Mafia 3 but it's got denuvo so hopefully some time this year.
Whoever said on here that the last of us part 2 was good was spot on in their analysis. It was gripping and intense. So thanks.
Except when you had to play a bent acoustic version of that AHA song and couldn't skip it. That was going too far.

Is gta 6 coming out this year? CBA checking.
I lost interest after GTA 4. Gameplay and game design feel like something out of 2010 IMO.
I'd like to see another RDR game though.

Thanks everyone!! I hadn't heard of Crimson Desert until now, it looks a bit Witcher-y?? (Which I also loved!)

I really want to try the new Indiana Jones but I really hate first person 😂 I'll also have a look at Skyrim, thank you!!
I gave up on Indiana for that reason I just could not gel with it.

I am very much enjoying Ghost of Yotei atm

Not all that fussed about GTA6 here but I am really looking forward to Control Resonant coming in a few weeks! I've just played Control and the two DLCs (started it a longggg time ago on PS4 before we switched to PC gaming but didn't get very far in) and it really is an excellent game. Excited to see where the story goes in the new game.

I ended up replaying "The Last of us part 1" The other week when I had some unexpected time on my hands.

I'm getting more out of it this time round as I'm not speeding through it. It'a a good, solid game. There was a great review from some random which simply said "Seperation anxiety simulator". Genius IMO.

I want to play part 2 remastered but it's not due on pc till April apparenty.
Is 2 as good/better/worse than the first or something?

So I enjoyed it. It takes a while to figure out how it all works but once you get I to it, it's good. I'll buy it. I don't think it will be for everyone though.

There's definitely some stuff to iron out before it's released. In some missions it's not clear at all what you're meant to do and prompts flash so quickly they are gone before you can read them properly.

A lot of similarities to Black Flag in terms of the sailing, naval combat. But the land based stuff was much more sparse and not as fun.
Thank you for reporting back!

Has anyone gotten a preorder for GTA6 or the switch 2, curious to know if the pre orders are out for these now that we are in 2025, according to rumours, switch 2 is April/may release an GTA October/November

Nintendo have said they will be ending support for switch 1 in about 6-9 months from now, roughly.
Are you sure? I’ve read they’ll stop selling the Switch 1 next year but online services and support will continue. They only stopped online support for the 3DS in 2024, so it’d be unusual to pull all support that quickly!

Does anyone use nexus mods for steam? I've watched it tutorial like 3 times an its still coming up with red writing telling me mods aren't added, am trying add the expanded farm mod to stardew, I've managed to get the anime portrait one to work but the farm one isn't, if I managed to get the anime one to work then does it mean the farm one is broken?

I've no idea what am doing wrong as I've been following along the tutorial, I downloaded smapi an the content patcher an made sure to open them all with winrar then add to the mod file
