Thank you all! I've been looking on currys as well as they've got some good deals and are offering cash back too, but I look on the customer reviews, and then google other reviews and they seem to say the opposite so I keep changing my mind about which one to go for I was looking at one of the MSI ones and then people on reddit were absolutely slating it. What a minefield

I have an acer nitro gaming laptop and it's great. It can run games like Planet Zoo, The Sims 3 with all expansion packs no problem and is under £1000.

Only issue is it is big and heavy and the battery life isn't great, so it's not really portable.

Yeah most games they have multiple keys listed so you just need to make sure you're buying the right one for your platform and region. I've bought both PC games and Nintendo Switch games from it with no issues.

I didn't know they done Nintendo games, I'll need to have a look because Nintendo never come down in price much even with their older games

Looking for advice on the steam deck, I think I've seen a few in here have it

First, how long do they stay in date? Are they like consoles where you get until a few years after the new one releases before you need to upgrade? Or am I going get many many years out them? I know with consoles you can keep if you have the discs but am not sure with the steam deck being a streaming device if it's going be a update every 5/6 years etc

Second, am I as well going for the 1tb storage or is smaller better, how does it work if you are streaming, do you need a lot of space for that or is it fine going for smaller because space doesn't mean a lot if you are streaming

Thirdly, how is internet, I'll be using it mostly for travelling, will a trains/hotels WiFi be good enough or do they really need excellent connection, can I also play offline if I download as well or is it one of those that needs to be constantly connected?

Fouthly, can I get Xbox game pass and playstation premium on it? Or is it just for steam itself, I know other devices I think the backbone will use Xbox an PS but I don't know about steam deck, I have memberships to both an wondering if I can also access both on it

Lastly, how heavy/bulky are they, are they easy enough to carry around? Or is it going feel like an carrying a massive brick about lol, they don't look too bulky in pictures I feel but you can't tell weight

Sorry a lot of info am looking for, the one I was looking at is around £569 I think so making sure it's the right decision

PC Gamer so I use Steam mainly and I do sometimes pre-order games. It just starts downloading as soon as it's available really and sometimes it will also pre-download so it's ready to play as soon as it's released.

@Shinythings I haven’t played the first Hitman, but I really enjoyed 2 & 3. I think 2 is my favourite

I've had a look on PS store and 3 is available but can't seem to find 2 anywhere

Thanks, just wasn't sure as I was expecting it to say 1tb, I knew it wouldn't show I had 1tb as space has already been taking up but good to know it's as it should be

My other problem seems to be there's no Bluetooth on it which am a bit annoyed at as for the price I'd have expected that but had looked at everything, watched yt an I've nothing showing for it that should show if I had it so looks like I'll need to go buy a adaptor for it as I had wanted to connect my Xbox or playstation controllers to it which I can't do

Ooh it does look pretty legit! I like the green they’ve used. I loved how the Switch had so many different coloured joy cons.

It's only worth preordering if there are offers with it; I haven't seen anything yet. I'm still going to be surprised if it does come out this year.

Am assuming you mean GTA? About coming out, honestly am hoping it does but it does feel every game that gets announced gets close to it's date then it gets push back after push back, so far all I've heard is they still believe that it will be ready for autumn but I guess anything will happen

The switch seems pretty certain it's coming soon, if not in a few weeks then it's definitely before Xmas

An now according to rumours the next Xbox is in the works, Xbox prime, not sure if prime is code or not, personally hope it is because I don't know if I like that name seems a bit weird, the Xbox prime, according to rumours it's a 2026 release but I take that with a pinch of salt

It’s not confirmed but possibly. Normally animal crossings don’t share a console but I think we will see a new one switch 2 only. But I also don’t think we will see it till 2028 at the earliest. Would love to be wrong.

Ah ok then, yeah I think going forward Nintendo will only really be realising on the 2 now, they seemed to be really fast with moving forward compared to other consoles, I might be wrong but wasn't the Pokémon game only for 2? An that realised quite soon after the console come out

Can anyone please recommend a site that sells activation keys for win 10 pro barring the Microsoft store?

There seems to be a few after a quick look but if anyone has any recommendations that would be nice.
I'm putting together a new system and new MB counts as new/fresh Windows install.
Half of the kit I ordered has come early and now I'm flapping.
Someone mentiioned a game key store in a prior topic but can't find the post now.
