Sorry, people on about boycotting brands, is there a list available or did ye just go searching or came across them by random??

Well I don't know how I missed that in the first place!!
The humanitarian corridor appears to have collapsed again. Is this something a UN peacekeeping force can enforce? Do both sides have to agree UN involvement? Or is this something that's just not possible?

That killed me too. I can’t stop thinking of that little innocent child. His parents were both killed and he was escorted by ukranian soldiers. Where’s he going to go? I hope he doesn’t end up in an orphanage. Just devastating.

There’s a whole band of experienced international soldiers from US, Ireland, UK, etc. All gone to fight with the Ukranians with fantastic combat and military prowess.
Some of these are ex special branch so it’s great to have that against the tyrant Russians.

UN peacekeeping missions aren’t set up overnight and it’s a long process to get them involved. Peacekeepers are also not hired directly by the UN, more like borrowed from member countries armies. Also Russia is a permanent member of the security council with a veto right….

I don’t really know why but there are lots of people, between 25 and 40 that seem to absolutely lap up the Chinese/Russian anti west propaganda. They are right in saying the west/SU/Nato etc aren’t perfect but idolising China as a response?! I lost two really good friends because of this.
Tankies are a plague. I had a stand-up row in the street with two of them who were collecting signatures for a NHS strike just before christmas. Members of the Socialist Worker I think.
Apparently, there was no famine in China under Mao, but he also managed to end the famine. Attlee was an 'imperialist scumbag' who should've been assasinated, and Stalin was a good guy who certainly never killed millions of his own people. They were actually really frightening - one proudly told me he'd met one of the tank drivers in Hungary, and it was the greatest moment of his life. They very quickly went full conspiracy mask off, and I'm not sure if they were so vehement because I'm a woman, or because I actually know what I'm talking about, and had facts! and figures! refuting their bollocks, but I did make one so angry that he cried, so that was nice (I asked him if he believed in Finland, and this must be their cryptonite). The other one was really chilly and civil, and in a way more frightening. I couldn't believe the actual bollocks that were spouting - the stasi is a myth, and no-one ever tried to escape East Germany was a highlight.
And they were two obviously expensively educated, and nicely spoken young men. Dickheads don't realise that if their beloved Stalin was in charge, they and their families would be first against the wall.
Not so simple for China because of Taiwan and other territories that want independence.
