17 African countries either voted against or abstained in the U.N's vote for Russia to withdraw from Ukraine.
Not a real surprise as Putin has been arming/propping up tinpot dictators & regimes in the likes of Mali, Guinea etc for a while now.
Same with China who have been investing all over Africa, building railways, telecomms, internet etc.
A big disappointment is South Africa though, who hosted Russian Navy warship exercises near Durban in the past few days.

I’m not really disagreeing but one thing you have to realise is that Russia helped liberate a lot of Asfrican countries from the West.
We might not agree with how other countries are run etc but at the same time they always supported Africa in getting freedom.
Can’t really blame them now for supporting Russia

Yeah, now the Wagner mercenary group are assisting massacres in villages in Mali, these African countries will find themselves on the wrong side of history when Ukraine prevails.

Again, I reiterate that Russia helped Africa when the West were stripping them bare.
You might not agree with it but you can’t blame them for supporting one of the only countries who supported them against the West

Any country backing Russia in their invasion of Ukraine deserve all the contempt that comes their way.
