Outlined the case as we all know at this stage.
- Julie on her own in Cork, Brenda in zoom. Absolute powerhouse.
- Julie doesn't know much about the actual assault.
- Julie wants to know her age, she was 22 at the time.
- natasha goes through it again as already discussed on every clip already available online
- Brenda jumps in asking did anyone jump in to help as herself and Julie would have tried to intervene if it was them.
- natasha has a video of the incident and thinking of releasing it to the public while laughing about the whole situation and missing Billie Ellish was her biggest concern.
- Julie reminds us she's a mother and she can't imagine her poor daughter arriving home with her injuries.
-Brenda asks when she made the statement to the gaurds, natasha advised she didn't want to and her mother brought her to the station 3 weeks after the incident as she just wanted to forget about it.
-Julie asked did she know his name, natasha advised she did after combing through social media for him and found him on visco, a picture of him in his army uniform.
- Julie asks her to tell us about the night she made the statement.
-month or two later warrant for arrest, girlfriend was posting photos on fb of their holidays the day after he assaulted her.
- Julie asks about the message shared on Snapchat, a friend of a friend had told her what he had said on Snapchat and natasha advised the gaurds when they do arrest him to check his Snapchat
- Brenda asks when she got the date for the court case, natasha advises she's was coming down to Becky Hill in Cork 2 weeks ago and got a call from the detective telling her the date, so had 5/6 days to prepare herself.
- Julie asks us to tell us about the court. Natasha advised she couldn't sleep the night before doing her impact statement until 5 in the morning.
Julie asked did he look at her in the court, she doesn't know as she didn't look at him
- she apparently spoke back to the judge and told her she'd been suffering for 2 years.
- Brenda asks if she thinks the sentence would have been different and she would have been treated better if it was a female judge, she feels all judges have same attitude and so many people have come forward with similar stories
- Julie asks if she's surprised by the support from the nation, natasha states word for word "jesus no, I was only giving out about some smelly judge like" and mocked the statement by the army commanding officer and she felt like she was being belittled and they were looking out for him and not her, she hasn't been able to do the job and things she's loves, she wouldn't even text her boss to say she wouldn't be in and was let go, she was working as a health care assistant and social media marketing and event manager for bars in limerick.
- Julie says she's just a bubbly person always laughing and smiling.
- natasha says this week she's getting back to herself after the flood of support but she will never be the same after what's happened to her but her energy is coming back, shes finding a new version of herself.
Brenda asks if it's advocating for the likes of ashling Murphy and help so many woman to change legislation ??? Natasha states she will be, she's meeting with mcentee once the trial period is up to tell her what she needs to change, she was up with Mary lou Mcdonald in the dail and they gave a standing ovation and she's honored.
Natasha states there is going to be hate and she's seen one where people jumped in giving that one bad comment abuse so there's so much good in the world. And she's a voice for so many people.
Julie signs off and has to ask one question, Cork or limerick winning, natasha hopes cork.
