and Oh God! - Cadbury's have reprised that dreadful ad with the girl going into the sweetshop to announce "Iddd likka barra choklit............." then "paying" with various bits of old junk.

I don’t like that advert either. Mainly because it’s so obviously a scam that the little girl has pulled with her mum. Mum says to her “go into that shop, give it the old puppy dog eyes, say to the shopkeeper “it’s for my mum”, make out you don’t have any money but you’ve only got lots of crap in your pocket, and watch the shopkeeper fall for it hook, line and sinker, and give you a bar of chocolate”.

It’s not even a small bar the shopkeeper gives but the giant most expensive bar as well. The girl and her mum probably pull this scam in loads of shops

I think the reason they’ve brought this ad back is because it’s Cadbury’s 200th anniversary and if you notice, they’ve slightly re-edited it by adding retro elements to it

The Venus razor advert . My hubby and I were shouting NO at the TV all the way through..just NO! A fat unattractive black woman with blond shaved head, covered in stretch marks, flab, shaving her hairy armpits, her pubes sticking out of her knickers , shaving her stomach (WTF). Surprised she didn’t shave her tash and beard…Gross and reality gone too far.
I’m not particularly slim But I rather look at a more beautiful specimen of a woman because that’s what you’d rather think you’d look like when you’ve shaved yourself head to toe. Certainly cannot possibly help the sales of Venus

I mean, I might be alone here, but I would definitely rather buy from a company that shows perfectly average and normal looking women rather than supermodels. (And there is nothing wrong with being fat, unattractive, black, shaved head, stretch marks, flab, hairy armpits, pubes or facial hair… those are all normal things….)

What on earth is that about? Donkey on the back of an old woman. I always mute it because I find the 'tastyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy' bit at the end really piercing.

There’s an ad for Prada perfume with Emma Watson which has her prancing around and pulling faces. Usual perfume advert stuff. But what makes me laugh is that in the corner it says ‘Directed by Emma Watson’. It’s just so twatty. I can just imagine her being all serious as she directed herself.

The Dubai advert is ridiculous. It shows a couple out late partying who head to the beach and imply they’re going to go for a night swim. So skinny dipping I assume.

You’d be absolutely fucked if you tried that in Dubai. A couple of drunk tourists on the beach being affectionate? They’d be waking up in prison.

I think the Bingo ads are silly. Making out everyone is together having a party and playing Bingo together when in reality they are sad little people squandering their money sitting playing Bingo at home alone.

And they advertise that there's free lounge access... this is exactly the type of family you go to the lounge to avoid!!!!

I was saying that last year. Never booking a lounge again if there’s a chance the dickheads from the adverts are in there, probably filling their hand luggage with food from the buffet and downing as much shit free wine as possible.

Another year and the same boring Jet2 ads. I actively avoid flying with them when I can so I don’t have to listen to the song four times in a row.

Probably the worst ad break EVER yesterday at 5.30 pm ish

First off that dreadful Potnoodle one with the woman slurping hers down sounding like a drain being emptied by a gulley-sucker machine, then tapping the pot with a "Nice".
Then wrose still, the one for some menstrual knickers where they very kindly show a woman climbing into the shower to leave a huge red splat on the floor. FGS this was at 5.30pm when people are eating - OH pushed his plate to one side having seen that leaving half his chips with a splodge of ketchup. Whatever happened to The Watershed eh??

The targeted audience thing - its driving me nuts when ad breaks are filled with Life Insurance, funeral plans, adjustable beds & scooters and frozen ready-meals!
