Unfortunately not, my age plus the fact that my partner already has kids means we’re not eligible
I’m so sorry, not only is that awful news but your partner not understanding your feelings around the matter must make it extra difficult.

Regarding funding, have you had a look at how much IVF costs at different places? Like privately? I know some places do “offers” or packages to help make payment easier. You could set up a go fund me as well, I know some people have done this to help part fund.

Either way, I wish you the best of luck!

I know it’s possible I may have ovulated later than I thought, but I’m now 5 days late and still saying negative? Surely it would show by now right?😩

Ah thank you. Yes have had a look but again because if my age we can’t get some of the options available to you get women. There’s also only one clinic anywhere near us that offers it and it’s at least £5k per cycle plus the cost of the drugs on top. I have a couple of friends who have travelled abroad which is an option but given the current state of the world it’s probably not likely to happen any time soon nor is it particularly sensible.
I always knew it may be the option but I think just hearing it said was a bit of a shock

Had a little break but need to share with someone. Had our appointment with the fertility clinic this week and got told that our only hope of a pregnancy based on my age and my partners test results (which is ironic as he already two kids which were conceived naturally and quickly) is to have IVF. Was a bit of a blow to be honest, we knew it was a possibility but was quite hard to hear. Not sure it’s even an option for us, would be self funded and the chances of a successful pregnancy are under 10%, if we wait even longer that’ll drop even more. They also reckon we’ll possibly need 2-3 cycles, so need to have £15k available, not sure that’s an option for us
I just feel so sad. I’m an only child and I just always assumed I’d have a baby at some point, my Mum had me at 41 so I’ve always been quite blasé about it
My partner doesn’t seem to get why I’m so upset, he’s always been happy enough to have another child but he just doesn’t seem to get why I’m so bothered by it...we argued the other night and he suggested I’d best ‘go and find myself someone that isn’t a jaffa’ that’s not even a consideration for me but would just like him to realise how difficult I’m finding this
Hiya. Not in the exact situation as I'm on cycle 15 and have begun tests but I understand to do with your partner. My dh has 2 children already and although wants a baby just doesnt have that yearn for one like I do. Doesn't understand the heartbreak. It's so hard as it can make me feel so alone as he just doesn't get it. I think it's perhaps a maternal thing partly but also when they already have children it's not as huge deal like it is to us wanting our first.they want one, but aren't desperate as they already have that. It bothers me too x

Hope all is ok with you lovely @grumpycat 💖
Thanks for checking in 🖤🖤
No sign of period today but stupid me got the wrong test - I got first response rapid result not the early result! I took one with FMU this morning and I’ve got the squintiest of squinty lines. So I’ll get a FRER today and test tonight or tomorrow 🤞🏻

Good luck. I’m due AF on Sunday, I’m too scared to test to avoid disappointment again. I haven’t had any usual cramps and my boobs ache but wondering if it’s just in my mind 🤔

this was me this morning. I peed in a cup and then had to make myself test. It’s my first cycle off the pill so no idea if I’m actually due on or not, I’d assume in the next few days I would be.🤞🏻 For you!

Well now a day late, took a test on Wednesday (negative digital) was due on yesterday, but expected to come on today as I'm now 14dpo. I'm fully expecting AF to arrive to feeling hopelessly optimistic 😬

how's everyone doing? ❤

Awww good luck. You must be going crazy. That negative you get when period is due but it has not came is the worst. As you sit there thinking there’s something wrong with the test, the time you took it, maybe you don’t have enough HCG hormones. Plus your body and mind play tricks on you.
You think getting pregnant is simple.

I am on the TWW. I wish someone could knock me out for 2 weeks and I wake up knocked up haha. I am finding things to do to occupy my time.
Hard I tell you very hard.

Omg so true! The whole tww waiting game is psychological torture I swear 😂 impossible to think of other things, and if you do it's only for a few hours at best

TWW over here too, I swear time is going slower. 🙈 Sending positive vibes to everyone in the same boat.

Trying not to symptom spot but my boobs are *so* painful today, even the water from the shower was almost unbearable. 😬

So my husband hid my stash of HPT as I’m a bit of an addict with them before AF. This morning I found a random cheapie OPK in the bathroom cabinet. It was a really strong positive, stronger than I usually get when ovulating? I know you can get a LH surge before AF. Does anyone know if it’s usually the day before? I’m a bit confused, I’m a regular cycle girl so I don’t think it’s ovulation?
Edited to add- I don’t even know why I did the OPK. I’m a pee on a stick addict who can’t be controlled 😅😅😅

I’ve read mixed reviews but I would keep your fingers crossed and get a FRER and see?

Sorry I can’t help but fingers crossed for you. Sounds promising but our minds can play tricks on us.
I get the whole addiction with pregnancy tests. I think I’m being clever by not storing any in the house but 5-6 days before expected AF I go to the nearest shop to get pregnancy tests.
When is your AF due ? Xx

Daft question possibly but google doesnt really help and i think the abundance of knowledge we all have on here combined would be much more useful : you know the tablets and supplements you can get to ‘improve female fertility’ are these worth taking if all ur fertility tests are normal ie no blockages, ovulating on time, ultrasounds found nothing abnormal. periods regular, blood tests fine? I miscarried in december after trying for 2.5 years. So back on the baby train again however because i know i can get pregnant now and all tests are ok is it worth taking more supplements or are these more for those who have had fertility issues identified? I am grateful i can concieve and have no obvious issues identified however it will be three years of trying soon and its more the unknown thats getting me down when i am doing everything i can?

And when i say supplements i dont mean folic acid/vitamin D as i am already taking them. Another point to make is i took them religiously and we also used the lubrication suitable for fertility and the second month i thought you know what i cant be arsed with this, and stopped taking anything i fell pregnant! So i do know its possible i can do it without but you spend time thinking what if dont you.
