Usually BBT thermometers are advertised with an app to will help to track but here's a link to explain BBT further. I got a basic one from Amazon fairly cheaply!

I’ve just come on my period so I am just going to have a little cry in the shower and dust myself off. I think this is my second period after coil removal.

Search BBT thermometer on Amazon, lots will come up. It's best off getting one to the closest .2 decimal places so i.e. temp of 36.72 rather than just 36.2. They are around £15.

I use the Premom app and it's fairly self explanatory it'll add in a baseline to identify your to spike. You can see in mine how my temp was lower pre ovulation and has stayed above that line post ovulation. It should drop back down just before my period starts.

Hi everyone,

looking for some advice and reassurance! I have tested with a frer this morning and got a very light positive. I’m not due on AF until Monday however I only tested because I have been feeling sick and vomited yesterday which isn’t like me. My concern is should my like not be much darker as I’m only 4 days away from AF or could I have ovulated later than I thought? My cycle is around 30-32 days. I’m so worried as I had a miscarriage January

advice would be appreciated! thanks so much baby dust too all

I'm sorry to hear about your miscarriage. My understanding is that your pregnancy hormones get stronger the later your period, so maybe test again in a couple of days as you have tested fairly early. FRER have said if you test 6 days before your period the result is only 62% accurate, but a positive is a positive! So congrats

I didn’t get a strong positive until the day AF was due so I would suggest doing another one sat morning as your HCG levels will be rising. (I know that’s easier said than done as you’ll be wanting to know). Congrats

I’m out this month ladies, AF turned up this morning - 5 days early !! with a very strong wave of nausea and now I feel fine! Totally normal again. So bizarre as I’ve never had PMS like it but the past 2 months have been dreadful with every symptom under the sun. It’s deffo AF and not implantation bleeding as I think it’s probably too late for that. Feeling a bit gutted as thought maybe it would be this month but what can you do really.

Got all my fingers crossed for those testing soon

Test again in a few days lovely, I know it’s so hard but as everyone has said a positive is a positive FRER are generally very good and accurate so got everything crossed for you

I've been watching this thread for a while now but have finally taken the plunge to get involved. I came off the pill in around November time not for any reason other than the fact I'd been on it for over 10 years. Myself and my partner agreed that if it happens, great, if it doesn't, also fine. My cycles returned to normal pretty quickly and I get regular enough cycles to track now. As time has gone on, we've decided that actually there will be no better time than now to try as we always felt like we were putting it off for one reason or another but really is anybody ever in the perfect situation to have a baby?? We've both got stable jobs and have recently moved into a 3 bedroom house so I'm becoming more and more desperate to conceive. I've just this month started using ovulation test strips because I wanted to see how accurate the estimates on flo/maya/premum are. This may sound incredibly naive and I can only apologise for my ignorance but all through my teenage years and early twenties, people scare you into thinking it's super easy to get pregnant (I appreciate it is for some people and I know for some people it only takes 1 try) but we've dtd every single month on the days leading up to and on ovulation day and yet nothing!! I never appreciated how hard it would be to conceive and the longer it takes, the more desperate I become! I'm currently 1dpo so dreading another for tww!! Sorry for this long rambling message, needed somewhere to get my thoughts and feelings out

Welcome, feel free to get your feelings out, we all understand every month does seem to get harder, just get your feelings out, have some chocolate or a cry if you need to and remember every period is another chance to try again x (if that helps, if it doesn't just ignore that lol)

Thank you!! There was one month when I came on about 5 days earlier than expected and although I was mega dissapointed, I was also at peace with knowing..it meant I wasn't sat there getting my hopes up so I will try and see every period as a new opportunity

I’ve been watching this thread for a while now but don’t really like putting my feelings out there. But you all seem like a lovely bunch. I came off the pill in Feb 2020 and nothing as of yet. I’m getting so disheartened with it all. AF arrived today (again). Probably doesn’t help that I’m nearing the big 4-0 either. Has anyone here managed to get pregnant in their late 30’s? Any advice would be appreciated. I’m taking all the vitamins, I seem to be ovulating, just getting so tired of it all now. . I also seem to spot ever so slightly for a few days before AF. I’m honestly not sure if that’s normal for me or not as I’ve been on the pill since my teens with the odd break here and there. Cycles seemed to go back to normal after a few months off x

I don't have any advice as we are not the same age, but sending you lots of love and baby dust. Every month I feel the heartbreak gets worse. It really feels like there is no light at the end of tunnel.

Hey, sorry to hear its taking longer than you hoped. Im 37, 38 in a few weeks and Ttc #2. I did fall pregnant in January and miscarried at almost 10 weeks almost a month ago now. Id been trying for 4 months, the first 3 I used premom OPKs and then spoke to my friend who said just buy the clearblue digital...I did and fell pregnant straight away. Are you using any ovulation detectors? I recommend clearblue obvs...I know they're pricier but they are so good! I will be using my leftover sticks when my AF returns hopefully in the next week or so. Sending you lots of love and hope you get your baby sooner rather than later. I too worry about my age...but look it definitely can happen xx

Oh I’m so sorry my lovely Don’t discount the symptoms, it could have been a chemical or anything! Good luck for this next cycle

Thank you. I might try the clear blue, I’ve not tried them yet. Just getting frustrated in myself now. Funny how you spend your whole life trying not to get pregnant and then when you want to, it doesn’t happen. Not an ideal age for me to start trying for a first, but wasn’t in the right relationship previously, then following that needed time in my own. I Ideally wouldn’t have left it so late, but sadly was beyond my control. Sorry to hear about your MC. Lots of baby dust to you x

All of the swabs I had taken on Monday came back as normal today so I’m booked in for bloods next Monday to check out my hormone levels. After feeling very disheartened for so long I’m so glad to be going in a positive direction and finally receiving the level of care I expected from my doctors surgery. Getting in more light exercise to help get my weight down some more, if any of you lovely ladies have any tips/tricks that helped you lose weight effectively I’m all ears.

Sending everybody baby dust there will be babies in al of our futures

Felt like wasting money so did a test today and it was faint, then went out to get some more types also faint! Bought packs of 2 and some digis so will do the other ones tomorrow and wait until after AF is due to do the digital! Not sure if anyone else can see it? The clear blue I did this morning and has dried darker. I did a clearblue 6 days early, boots own early and frer

I can definitely see it on the clearblue! The other 2 I couldn’t say 100% but it’s hard on pictures. Keeping my fingers crossed for your test tomorrow
