I’m out again
I don’t even know if I can go again I just want to make an appointment at the fertility clinic now.
Spoke too soonI'm due on on Friday and I've had nada, no cramps or breakouts or anything to indicate a period or pregnancy so we shall just see if anything turns up I guess![]()
Hey,Hi ladies
I had my bloods done in January and I’ve got my first infertility appointment next month.
Having tracked my periods/ovulation, I have a short luteal phase, so I’ll mention that at my appointment.
Can anyone give me any information about what to expect at my appointment. What the next steps would be and how long I’d roughly wait for results?
Thanks girls x
It says on the package below that it’s a pregnancy test.View attachment 1346532Is this a positive ovulation test? Sorry to ask
nah it wasnt. it was an ovulation test hahaha, i was just reading how to see if its positive or negative for ovulation test. (the packet comes with one pregnancy test)It says on the package below that it’s a pregnancy test.

Looks like DPO is off to a good start for me with temp going up and LH going downmy levels, although low, are begin to find their rhythm it seems. Hope we’re all doing alright today. Nice hot weather coming out way! Remember to stay hydrated x
If the test line is as dark as, or darker than, control line then it's a positive result. But you need to test daily to see when you get your peak (when the line is at its darkest). It might be worth taking a photo each day so you can compare them and identify your peak day that way.nah it wasnt. it was an ovulation test hahaha, i was just reading how to see if its positive or negative for ovulation test. I'm also due on in two days! I hate myself for symptom spotting, but this week I keep waking up at 5am for no apparent reason which is completely unlike me, and I also haven't had any spotting yet, whereas the last 6 months I seem to have spotting from 5 days before my period is due...we shall see. I'm going to stay strong and wait until 16th to test.
CongratulationsI just got a positive test :')
Amazing! Congratulations loveI just got a positive test :')

Hey sorry to jump on but we are in a similar position. In terms of timing end of March went to the doctors about missing periods, had bloods and an ultrasound. Had a telephone appointment at the hospital end of May said i wasn’t ovulating due to pcos. Just waiting on hubby tests and I’ve got to a further test to check my tubes then we start on clomid (if all tests come back okay) end of July and depending when I get a period. So I would guess it is around the 4 month time too (fingers crossed!)Hey,
I had my first appointment in December and things moved pretty fast from there. Hubby was invited for his test (which was the longest thing to wait on as knew already I had PCOS) and took about 5-6 weeks for test and results. I had various scans and then they talk to you about your options based on what they find. I am now on cycle 2 of Clomid (but had some issues and had to wait on cycle starting ect) but I was able to start first cycle in April so around 4 months from appointment to starting. If you ever want to chat just drop me a message.
Take care and sending all of the best wishes to you![]()
I am glad to hear you have started the journey and can start treatment soon!Hey sorry to jump on but we are in a similar position. Just wondering how you are getting on with clomid? Heard mixed reviews about the side effects
Fingers crossed for you both![]()
Heyyyy that’s amazing - congratulations!I just got a positive test :')
You need to do something else with your time - seriously. Your months of waiting will feel empty if you’re not careful. Remember to look after yourself new hobby maybe? XFeel like my life is waiting for period to end—waiting for ovulation—waiting for a BFP that never comes—repeat.
If you’re looking for opinions, I’d go private. If you can afford it, do it. Sorry you’re being assessed by a scoring sheetSooo I said I’d update after my 2 appts!
My drs appt was not helpful at all.. she said cos I’ve had 2 miscarriages it means I can get pregnant so she doesn’t think any tests need to be done and basically said to stop stressing.
I spoke to a fertility centre nurse who said that even tho we have been ttc for a year, because I had 2 pregnancies in that time.. it has reset the timer for how long we have been ttc for and we would have to have a full year of not being pregnant to be eligible for public referral. However we can privately refer now and have an AMH test done and if that comes back low, I may be eligible for public treatment depending on the scoring system! Unsure what to do .. do we continue trying or bite the bullet and pay for a private referral and get the AMH test done.. I’m leaning more to the latter!
I'm so sorry that you were dismissed like that by your drs, I had a mmc 3 years ago and told my dr when I went for my tests and she said the same thing! Also that my bloods tests were 'satisfactory' whatever the hell that means. Hubs is currently going through his tests so I have no idea if we will be public or private but we've been trying for 13 months now with nada so I have no idea what the hell is is going on lolSooo I said I’d update after my 2 appts!
