A bonus to waiting for a BFP, I managed to change our maternity policy at work. I hope I get to use it sometime in the future 🤞🏼

Just book it! While I hope everyone’s TTC journeys are quicker than mine.. I’ve missed out on a few things thinking I would be pregnant 🤦🏼‍♀️ Yeah you will have to pay slightly more for the cancellation option but it will work out a whole lot more doing things last min! It feels worse to be at home still not pregnant and missing out 🙈

I had a miscarriage on march 26th at 9 weeks and we are back trying again. AF expected on Sunday but after swearing to myself I wouldn't get stressed about it, I'm now symptom analysing and driving myself absolutely demented 😥 I guess it's a case of time will tell because I'm too afraid to test early but jaysus this TTC business is so overwhelming emotionally 😫

sooo I’m newly on the TTC train and feeling very overwhelmed.
I’m in my mid thirties and me and my husband got married not long ago.. I feel like all eyes are on us to have a baby now. Our best friends who we are in friendly life competition with have just announced they are expecting and it’s made me feel upset and a bit panicked and my husband doesn’t understand why. Yes I’m happy for them of course but I feel the pressure on me massively!

Fingers crossed for you all this week!

This is the month I turn 35 and I’m really looking forward to being called geriatric 🙄 should have started earlier.

We’re down visiting my parents this weekend which is terrible timing for my fertility window. Couldn’t have sex in my parents house when I was younger, not going to start now 😆 I guess we’ll see what happens!

For those who have ttc for a while.. do you ever struggle to envision yourself actually having a baby? How do you keep that motivation/hope going? It’s been so long that the thought of me actually having a full term pregnancy with a baby to hold at the end of it seems unrealistic! I focus so hard on trying to get pregnant but then the hard work of maintaining that pregnancy kicks in mentally. Sorry if this makes no sense… just some rambling thoughts I’m having to myself this Friday morning!

A whole year TTC and the end of June, hubs has his appt Wednesday for his sample results so maybe we can get some answers if not god knows what is happening or what happens next. It's a bloody minefield and I feel that GPs ect don't take this seriously enough

hello everyone 💕 my partner and I have decided that I’m going to finish my pill pack (1 week left) then stop taking it. We have spoken lots about it and feel like we’re now both ready to start ttc. We’ve said that we will try not to put too much pressure on it and just see what happens but I’ve got quite an obsessive personality so I’m already dreading how I’m going to be putting unintentional pressure on myself 😫

Our friends want to go on holiday next year and are desperate to book. It’s so hard to think “we could have a 2 month old if I got pregnant this month, I could be heavily pregnant, I might not even be pregnant by then”. But not being able to express these thoughts to the group chat leaves for difficult decisions! Has anyone gone through similar?
As so many have said, it is so difficult living your life whilst TTC. My hubbys friend had booked a wedding abroad and we quietly told them our situation about a year ago (going through fertility as now 2+ years TTC). They couldnt have been nicer about it and told us even if we booked last minute they would have space for us. No baby and a year later we are currently in a beautiful country, surrounded by friends, good food and the sun. I am glad we didn't miss out as we could have put off so many things thinking 'what if?'
Try if you can to live around it and things like holidays could always be rescheduled if you were heavily pregnant or had a wee baby. And at that point you wont mind rescheduling as you have that wee bundle in your arms. Means you wont miss out and can tale enjoyment from life in such a challenging time 💕

Hello, I am fairly new to these threads. I am 2 months into trying and have not fallen pregnant. I am a 26 year old and my Flo App says im ovulating but i get BFN. Last month i tested BFP (happy times) and then my period came (had a chemical pregnancy). I am really unsure what we are doing wrong. Is it positions, is it the vaccine? i took the moderna vaccine and my periods then on have been weird. I would love to bring a baby in the world but it really sucks when it doesn't happen on our first try. We also notice right afterwards, a lot of sperm comes out but we try to save it and put my legs up...sooorry for graphic i have no one else to run to about all this...

(also, how to relax and be stress free? help an anxious girl out lol) is the foods im eating? i eat so healthy, red meat and chicken, one coffee a day, work in a low stress environment...i simply have no words for myself. honestly feel like a failure. we have no idea....i have no idea,

I am a mess...thanks..
hello and welcome to the thread!
I know it’s the last thing you want to hear but you are still so early into trying, you could time everything perfectly but there’s only a 25% chance of conceiving each month.. it’s just about the right spent and right egg matching. flo is not the most reliable app as it assumes everyone ovulated cd14. I find using a thermometer more useful to track when I ovulate.
when did you have your vaccine? If it was recent then it have impacted your cycle but if you’ve had afew cycles since then I doubt it would be effecting it still.
Also don’t worry about sex positions/holding your legs up.. enough sperm gets up there but defo keep your legs up if it helps you psychologically just don’t make the mistake that I did and forget to wee and ended up with a UTI!
It sounds like you are doing everything correct but 2 months in is quite early to be worrying.. try and enjoy it as much as you can, don’t put too much pressure on yourselves and keep posting here as this thread keeps me sane!

Hi ladies.
5 days until my period after an eptopic in December. Given it a good go this month but the wait is so long and painful. Hope everyone is hanging in there 🤞🥰

I’m 2 days late, but have had some brown spotting so feel like my period is about to arrive at any minute. I wish it would hurry up so I can start a new month.

My sister is due this week too, and I’d really hoped to be pregnant before her baby arrived. I’m obviously very excited but also a bit sad for myself.

CD4 for me, my periods always short and only last about 3 days.

This month is our first time ttc again, fell pregnant earlier this year (1st time lucky) which then ended in a ruptured ectopic at 7 weeks in May. Had to have my left tube removed and advised to wait 1 cycle. I have just finished my second period which we agreed we'd have before ttc again.

According to flo I'll be in my ovulation window from next Tuesday but will also be monitoring CM. Super excited to be trying again but also feeling abit anxious as it can definitely now take longer and also about having another ectopic!

2dpo, our first fertility specialist appt is in 2 weeks where we get our blood/sperm test results so I guess at least we have a ‘plan’ but my god I hope this is our month 🌈 ❤

To be honest, I just have a drink if I have plans during the TWW. I don’t drink to excess anyway, but after a couple of years I figure I might as well try and live my life the best I can while I’m waiting.
Same. I wouldn’t have a wild night but a glass of wine or a cocktail is fine. It’s also fairly easy if you alternate rounds to say you’re having a gin and lemonade if it’s actually just lemonade. Or I drive and say we’re trying to save money - easy if it’s just before pay day!

New thread for trying to conceive advice, support and discussion 💕

Regularly used acronyms:

DTD - do the deed/have sex

AF - aunt flow

TTC - trying to conceive

OPK - ovulation prediction kit

BFN - big fat negative

BFP - big fat positive

DPO - day past ovulation

CD - cycle day

EWCM - egg white cervical mucus

2WW - two week wait (that feels more like 2 years!)

Listened to this podcast by Manifestation Babe last week. You don’t have to be into law of attraction to appreciate this one as a lot of what she talks about is stuff from the it starts with the egg book which is science/evidence based.

This is the transcript if you prefer to read

Does anyone know if there’s a thread for longer term fertility issues? Or be interested if one was started?
