I’m so glad I found this thread and I hope you ladies don’t mind me jumping on and having a bit of a ramble. I’m starting to get absolutely terrified to test now because I can’t handle the disappointment of a BFN ☹
I have two friends who fell pregnant to men from one night stands (no judgement - gorgeous children and luckily in lovely co-parenting situations now) but I just think HOW HOW HOW did this happen so easily and seemingly randomly for you both 😕
I feel your pain with that. Both my brother and nephew ended up getting girls pregnant accidentally - well, as much as it is an accident when you're unprotected 🤦🏻‍♀️ My 25yr old brother has sorted himself out now, is in a relationship with the mother and my niece is 18mths old. But my nephew is 19, unemployed and mixed up in all kinds of trouble and the baby is due in August. So it really boils my piss that I'm 33, married and financially responsible and was having to pee on sticks not knowing my arse from my elbow. Good luck to you, we got our BFP in March and now I'm pretty much a bag of anxiety every day 🙈

You need to do something else with your time - seriously. Your months of waiting will feel empty if you’re not careful. Remember to look after yourself new hobby maybe? X
I have enough going on in my life it just feels the months are broken down into that cycle and pms has got me feeling dramatic

I was on these threads number 1 & 2…now 18 months later and I’ve not even had a sniff at a BFP.

Completely unrelated, but I was having a colposcopy the other day and mentioned about my periods lasting a month or more at a time (app was with a private gynaecologist) anyway, he looked back on my notes which stated thickened womb lining, which nothing was ever done, and just left to deal with these horrendous periods that are debilitating, it’s a worry to leave the house at times they’re that heavy…but he was so concerned and lovely, and has referred me for an ultrasound to see if it’s got thicker and to investigate a bit more.
I feel like there might actually be light at the end of the tunnel after dealing with prolonged periods for so long. How I am not anaemic I have no idea! I haven’t been to the docs yet about how long it’s taking to conceive, not quite ready for that her yet (I have pcos too so always going to take longer) but if my periods are sorted that might be a step closer, or maybe I’ll be infertile, who knows. When googling thickened endometrium, it doesn’t sound particularly good! Depending on biopsy results, it can turn to cancer and you’d need a hysterectomy. Google is not your friend 😂

sorry for long ramblings but nobody knows about TTC and other half doesn’t really understand as a bloke, although he’s as supportive as can be in this situation. Feels like times running out for us really, both 34. xx

Hi guys I haven’t posted much since my CP. We decided to pause until next summer. I’m gonna take this time to just enjoy each other, work on my mental/physical health and focus on my PhD. I wish you all the best of luck and fingers crossed for all of you

Just tested again as AF is due today and a BFN and to top it off I've spent the last 4 hours at a baby shower for my sister, surrounded by babies and someone had the cheek to tell me to cheer up.

So many of us on this thread seem to be at the same point in our cycle, sad to see a lack of BFPs here at the moment - this is one of the only places I don’t feel jealousy for other announcements.

AF due tomorrow, haven’t started spotting yet but got a killer headache so know she’s on the way.

hi ladies, i stalk this thread occasionally because of my family history with ttc, not because i'm trying myself (far from it lol). i just wanted to mention there's a thyroid thread incase anyone has specific questions! i've got hashimoto's disease which is quite common so make sure the bloods are for your tsh, t3 and t4 levels and not just the hormone. i also want to say that you're all in my thoughts, my parents were about to start their last ivf cycle after 12 years of trying and then conceived me naturally! wishing everyone so much luck and love for the future ♥ ♥

I have my gp appointment tomorrow to discuss next steps as we have been ttc for a year pretty much.. I’ll update this thread once I have had it in case any one’s wondering or are nearing this side of things themselves 💕
I’m also thinking of journaling my ttc as I often find myself replaying my miscarriages over and over in my head.. has anyone tried journaling before? I don’t know how to actually ‘start’ writing if that makes sense 😂

What's up everyone how are we all?
This cycle I decided to stop tracking temps and doing opks. It feels so good not knowing when I ovulated and we just had sex for fun without the added pressure. I'm not expecting it to end in a BFP really but I'm so glad I decided to stop obsessing over it. We have decided to do it like this for the next 3 cycles or so, then ease back into the tracking. Hope you're all well x

My first month using ovulation tests and just got my first peak, so I feel weirdly excited 😂 also it's good timing as we're going away on holiday at the end of the week so might have been tricky DTD while travelling!

I would make sure it goes on your medical records, IF (and I seriously hope it doesn’t) happens again, you want them to have a full picture of your history. I’ve had two chemicals in the last year, both times I fell pregnant the month after again as you are supposedly more fertile. Thinking of you, physically and emotionally it’s painful and horrible but sending you love and strength. ❤❤❤
I’m sorry love, I know how you’re feeling. I wouldn’t bother with the doctors, I didn’t last week. If I hadn’t been tracking, I would’ve put it down to a horrible period 🤷🏻‍♀️ My doctors literally text me last week to say they don’t have any appointments, so I just didn’t bother. Hot water bottle, paracetamol and a nice bottle of wine is the ticket to making it feel a little better. For info, this is my chart currently:

It hasn’t changed as it’s not technically a miscarriage. I can let you know what happens with me LH and BBT levels in the next few days if you like? I put a poll on premom asking if anyone had issues with their next month and here were the results:

Thank you 💕

I’m feeling a little bit better today and a bit more positive. I ended up ringing my doctor who referred me to the early pregnancy assessment unit at my local hospital, next thing I know I’m in there for scans, consultation and blood tests. Of course as they even said the scans wouldn’t show anything because it’s too early but they did have a look at everything else in there and all is as should be! They are taking blood tests again in 48 hours to confirm my HCG levels and the chemical but they couldn’t have done more for me they were thorough and so lovely! So once it’s confirmed on Wednesday I can continue with my journey. They are also just making sure they rule out Ectopic.

Hope everyone else is ok! I think I’m going to try holding off testing next time until I’m well over my missed period but it’s so hard 😩

To be honest, I just have a drink if I have plans during the TWW. I don’t drink to excess anyway, but after a couple of years I figure I might as well try and live my life the best I can while I’m waiting.

I was reading on a pregnant thread yesterday that someone didn’t get a bfp until 17 DAYS after their period was due and had a healthy pregnancy due to ovulating and implanting late even though she’d been tracking! Not over till AF turns up

I have a confession to make that made me feel guilty and I just have to let it out. When I'm annoyed, one of the (tiny) reasons I want to get pregnant is so people can leave me alone and respect my personal time. Parents think just because some people don't have kids that they have all the time in the world just to drop everything the moment they get a sitter and can have "adult time" or that we can attend everything single event for their kids. I love seeing my friends and their kids, but my free time belongs to me and I don't have to justify why I want to keep it for myself. I don't feel like I have to tell everyone about how sad I get when I get my period or how anxious and zoned out I feel during the two week wait, or that sometimes I just want to bask in my laziness and watch Netflix during my day off.
