Spoke too soon, AF on the way.. had me convinced this month! My first due date would have been this Saturday so feeling super sensitive that I’m still no where near to having a baby 😭 think I’m going to take this next cycle off, eat all of the sushi and sashimi before our fertility appt next month. It’s so much harder seeing my husband so hurt by this 😭

Hi all, just found this thread. I’m happy I’ve found other people who are thinking like me and I’m not alone. Last week was very hard for me, I had my longest cycle yet (37 days) and was convinced I was going to get a positive line. I’m very regular so I did two tests, but they were negative and then AF the next day! I realised that I had covid earlier that month and wonder if that would have caused distortion to my cycle.

this may sound wishywashy, but I’m going to try law of attraction/manifestation for the next few months. Having a positive mindset, writing down my affirmations and visualising my baby in the future. Has anyone done this? Xx
I had a miscarriage last year and was TTC since, in about Feb I decided to start trying to manifest pregnancy as thought what the heck, tried to take a few minutes each day (particularly if I noticed recurred numbers eg 11:11 or similar) to imagine myself this Christmas heavily pregnant, sounds nuts writing it down but I got my BFP in May and currently 15 weeks pregnant and due in Jan. No harm in trying and I found it made me have a healthier relationship with TTC as I was getting very down about it xx

One of my best friends has just had some awful news. She had been trying for a while whilst navigating some fertility issues, and they fell pregnant recently which they over over the moon about. but they’ve since found out at 14 weeks that the baby has severe abnormalities and it’s likely they will have to make the most awful decision. How do I support her through this / what do I say, I feel so useless 😟

No AF this morning. I’m usually like clockwork but weirdly I was 3 days late last month (never happens) so not getting my hopes up yet. 🤞🏼

I'm finding TTC quite draining now, we're on our sixth month of trying, which I know isn't that long in the grand scheme of things, but everyone around us seems to have conceived quickly with no issue (lots of friends having two kids just under 2 years apart!) I feel like I'm in limbo every month, not pregnant but also having to restrict alcohol just in case I might soon be. Anyway, just felt like a little rant/whinge - sympathy to everyone else going through it!

I'm having a pretty down day today... Pregnancy just seems to be happening to people around me at the drop of a hat... 2 friends weren't even trying... We just want it so badly as do all of you guys... It's so hard x
So hard xx

Just coming on to vent about my "friend" again, just sent me a bump pic saying 36 weeks, I didn't open it, hope it's not another bikini one, she knows we have been trying for years, I never normally hear from her like would I be a weirdo I said back thats lovely but please don't feel the need to send me bump updates, happy for you but they only serve as a reminder to me that I am not pregnant

The two week wait is super stressful. You may test negative in the later stages of it (10 dpo and onwards) but you still try and convince yourself there's a possibility the test is wrong. You feel symptoms which are so similar to pms.. and just hold on to the little smidge of hope. And it kills you. I'm wondering if what I'm feeling is just progesterone or can I be pregnant. Even though the test is stark white. It's a mental battle and I'm tired of fighting it 😒

Day 1 for me again.. I guess it's taking time to remember my PMS symptoms... Hard when you haven't had periods for years.

I never would because it’s personal so I would never ask for the details.. but I’d be so interested to know out of everyone I know that’s got pregnant in the last 5 years.. including Facebook acquaintances from school that you never speak to just stalk.. how long it actually took everyone I know to conceive, alcohol intake, diet, vitamins, frequency of trying, the dates they did did on the successful month. Maybe I should set up a survey monkey 😂

Well, I gave in and tested and got a horrible not pregnant (gotta hate those CB digi, they leave no room for doubt😅) I had extra hope this month for some reason, that'll teach me. Over the moon for the bfps on thread ❤ and much love for those back in the game for the next cycle.

Pretty new here! I posted the other day about missing ovulations. Turns out I was wrong I did ovulate this month. Had the worst cramps/period of my life a few days ago. It was odd for a number of reasons and when my acupuncturist saw my bbt chart she wanted me to test. It was a chemical pregnancy this cycle, the test confirmed it. I’m pretty glad I only found out after the fact. At first I was happy, happy I ovulated and happy something happened inside me. The I got upset when I saw my partner because suddenly I was sad it didn’t take.

Just had to do a presentation to my work board while going through the worst cramps of my life. Hoping the bleeding finishes tonight so I can carry on with the week and not have to think about it anymore. Decided to tell husband, I saw his heart break in front of me ☹

clomid sounds excellent. I’d love twins.
My thoughts are with you, please get some rest and I hope you don't have to "tough it out" with anymore presentations anytime soon.

Longtime lurker, first time poster (I think?). My partner and I are currently 2 years TTC. I am a nervous wreck every month because getting pregnant is half the battle. Then what? So many other unfortunate things can happen and I can't imagine myself breathing easy even if my test comes back positive. It irks me when people around us say how lucky we are to travel and go out because we're unencumbered by childcare. While I can't totally blame them for not knowing what we're going through, it bewilders me that people in our age range and life stage are still so unaware of the existence of infertility struggles.

I don't understand people who do this... Like rubbing your face in it... People seem to have lost tact these days... Someone I'm close to had a miscarriage, her friend proceeded to tell her that they were going to start trying in case it happened to them... Like what... Why would you say that to someone?! People blow my mind... Hope you're ok xx
