I'd expect to be spotting today and I'm not...think I'm being impatient and it'll happen soon enough. Or maybe I'm due on on Friday/Saturday onwards instead of Thursday as I didn't use ovulation tests this month so can't be certain. Got a nice few days of overthinking to enjoy anyway 😂 I think I'll test on Thursday morning if I've not had spotting by then 🤞

I can see a line too! I think that’s a good line for 11DPO and not FMU. Congratulations ❤

I’ve had my appointment at the fertility clinic. I’ve been prescribed a low dose of clomid for 3 months then if that doesn’t work I’m to go back for bloods in October and they may prescribe a higher dose for another 3 months. If that doesn’t work they’ll discharge me from NHS care and we will need to decide if we want to fund IVF privately. I’m quite happy with that plan and I don’t think it will hurt to try clomid before biting the bullet.

Interestingly, the doctor told me to stop using OPKs and tracking BBT. She said she finds it causes more stress than it’s worth and if we have sex every other day we won’t miss the peak. She also told me to stop taking all supplements aside from folic acid and vitamin D. I’m going to follow her advice for the next few months as clearly my methods haven’t worked yet 🤣
That sounds good, nice that they've given you a plan to focus on. Interest about not tracking or taking supplements too! Best of luck, hope things work out and you don't need to go back 💕

BBT starting to come down now at 11dpo, think my period will be in the next few days. Glad I managed to avoid taking a test this month tho!! I always feel out of control when I do it. Plus we have our fertility appt next week and get our blood/sperm test results back so onwards and upwards ❤

I find the time between your period and ovulation drags the longest as I'm tracking and trying to pinpoint it but I don't get a steady rise I get a random surge so it can be at any time 😂

I’ve had blood tests which all come back fine and we are getting a sperm analysis done with the NHS. My mother has PCOS and me and my siblings are all ivf babies. I just want to know where I stand really!

Girls what does clomid do? Seen a few of you mention it, is only if you’re not ovulating you need it?
It stimulates egg production, by making the body think that your estrogen levels are lower than they are, which causes increased FSH and LH. My blood tests showed that I was ovulating but the hospital prescribed it anyway to try and give me a boost. There is a risk of more than one egg being released so multiple birth though!

A bonus to waiting for a BFP, I managed to change our maternity policy at work. I hope I get to use it sometime in the future 🤞🏼
We’ve had a change to our policy too - they are offering 6 months full pay now which is amazing! I am ready to put my out of office on for it already😂

That's really interesting, what was different last month? If you don't mind me asking of course 😘
Not at all! I may caveat this with the following though; last month was my first time TTC, so I don’t have a lot of experience, but this is what I felt during the last two months.

Cycle 1: by 6DPO I was feeling “weird”. Pulling, pushing internally, ovaries doing some sort of magic I guess. Then after 6 I felt absolutely exhausted to the point that I was falling asleep at my desk at home which never happens - I’m not a napper. There was constant strain in my pelvis throughout the two weeks. By 11DPO I had a positive, by 13DPO I was having a chemical.

Cycle 2: started off similarly however all strains, pains, pushing had stopped by 7DPO. Not as tired despite all the heat and less “weird” feelings.

I think as women we are much more in tune with our bodies anyway, and I just had a feeling that something was different in cycle 2 compared to 1.

Ladies I had removed myself from ttc for a while due to a few different things going on and for the last few months have been casually NTNP but here I am once again, a week into a 2ww and driving myself mad symptom spotting - even though in the previous pregnancies I've had, I had zero symptoms, none. A week of crazy dreams/restless sleep which is unusual for me, and some seriously sore and puffy gums which is also very random. It's gonna be a long week 😩
I’m 6DPO & I’ve had nothing to note but I’m sleeping terribly too. I’ve read ppl saying they had the puffy or sore gums though! I wonder what causes that.

I think whether treatment is offered when one partner has a child already is dependent on the Trust where you live so won’t be an option for us unfortunately x
I think if it’s the male who has had a child previously they sometimes don’t reveal this (have seen this happen) I’m not sure how much the check this or just take their word for it. Obviously different for a women it will be on your medical records

Thank you so much for your reply 🧡
I had my appointment yesterday. I panicked thinking I’d have no follicles at all but I had 12 in my right ovary and 11 in my left.
I was on CD18 and they could see a growing follicle which meant I would ovulate in around 3 days. After tracking my cycles it was confirmed I do have a short luteal phase and they could see that as my cycles are 28 days so it doesn’t have enough time to attach 😔.
I also had my bloods done so they’ll check those again too.
They did say they could offer medication to lengthen my phase but I’ve heard horror stories about them😂.
How are you finding Clomid?
Sending you lots of baby dust ☺💛💫 xx
It’s a relief when you get those numbers back isn’t it I panicked about mine too and was sure they were going to tell me I had something like 2 and I had killed them all during my party years 😅

11 DPO here, i’m trying not to symptom spot but I can’t help myself!

I don’t know if this is helpful to anyone but with my first pregnancy my symptoms during the TWW were:

-Waking up randomly throughout the night
-Vivid dreams
-Sore boobs
-Cramps , some quite painful! Pulling sensation also
-Lower backache
7DPO tomorrow and had all of these symptoms. Keeping my fingers crossed 🤞 I have headaches too which seem to be a hormonal thing for me. Had all of these symptoms last month with my chemical too but not the lower backache interestingly.

So upsetting. Did I miss my window so much? I feel like a failure damn
Please don't feel like a failure, it's completely normal for healthy couples to take up to 2 years to conceive. You can do everything right and just not conceive that month for no real reason. I'm pretty confident I've got the timing right in 6-9 cycles and am yet to conceive. I've got friends who took 9-12 months to conceive and others who conceived on their first try, it really does seem to be a lottery sometimes.

Oh thank you so much! I hope it works out. Would having sex every second day before the expected period come, make it easier? My poor partner lol, must be super tired after having him try and try again
Lol it’s never “my poor partner”, they’ve got everything they ever wanted - all the sex 😆
Welcome though! As everyone else has said; you’re young and being healthy so see what happens. Just remember to enjoy it, otherwise you will stress.

Prolonged TTC isn’t talked about enough but I’m sure if you spoke to the older women in your life, they’d probably confirm that even in their day people didn’t fall pregnant straight away.

Today is my first day off AF so all the testing is going on now. I’ve only got three days between finishing and ovulation days so it’s a quick turnaround this month. My dear father in law moves out this week too (first time we’ll be alone since February in our new house) so we are cracking on!

Got a BFP this morning after my second chemical last month…4th time pregnant, but never a good outcome. I think I’m happy, there’s just no joy with it now. Trying to hope and keep calm. 🙏🏼💕
Quiet celebrations are in order then - that’s fabulous news xx

Just tested with a cheapie 3 days before my periods due and got a negative. Think I’ll get a digital one and see. But for the lady above pretty sure the digitalis are much better! Congrats ❤

Aw to be fair while it’s horrible for you to go through hearing it, it would certainly be hard for me, I think a lot of us here went into TTC thinking it wouldn’t take this long. She’s not taking out of malice, I mean I thought 3 months maybe.. and here I am 23 months later after 12 months not trying not avoiding, and 11 months fully tracking my ovulation. I kind of miss those innocent days of it will happen quickly, and wish I could be back there instead of stressing.

One million percent I feel what you are feeling.. but it’s one of those many situations where we want to break down but have to put on a smile and go along with it 🙁 We are always here if you need to vent ❤
Thank you ❤ I think that's exactly it - it's not meant cruelly in the slightest! I agree, I certainly didn't think it'd take this long, it all seems so much simpler before you go into it. I already feel better since joining this thread though, makes it feel much less lonely :)

Still no AF here. I keep getting cramps that make it feel like it’s starting but absolutely no other changes. That makes it day 37. Who knows.

ETA - thanks for the support with my minor freak out XD I work at a trust that has two sites and the one I work at doesn’t have a nursery so it wouldn’t be cheaper but I would probably be able to drop a day and my OH would probably be able to do four days a week of slightly longer hours so I guess that would work it out.

I'm 7dpo, have a slight twinge in my left side and my proov progesterone test was positive, although it does drop off at 10dpo so not looking into anything yet, I did have a dip in my temp this morning too went from 36.76 to 36.64, slept good whilst usually indicates a temp drop so it's not that, so I'm now overanalysing and hoping it's implantation 😂

Just tested at 9DPO, BFN obviously. Why do we do it to ourselves?! Also shining a light through the test to see if I can see anything 👀😂

Pregnancy! I whizzed out to Tesco this morning and got a CB. Not sure if 2 lines always come up on the monitor tests if you’re preg, but definitely no denying the lines on this one!

Praying for a sticky baby this month 🤞🏻
Brilliant congratulations 🥰
