Just jumping on here if you all don’t mind 🤞🏼 I already have a 14 month old daughter and we were wanting to try for baby no.2. I got my BFP but unfortunately miscarried at 7 weeks on Christmas day. I’ve had a scan today to confirm the miscarriage is complete and a negative test, all I can think about is trying again. Im no longer bleeding, I asked the the midwife who advised to wait for my first period to try again, is this right or can I start trying straight away? I’ve bought ovulation tests and everything I can’t think of anything else. Im also still breastfeeding just morning and night does anyone else have any experience with having a successful pregnancy while breastfeeding?
Thank you all in advance and happy new year to you all ❤❤

Hey lovely, I’m so sorry this happened but now the scan is done hopefully that will help you to get some closure.

You don’t have to wait for your next period, they just say that because if you do conceive, the pregnancy will be hard to date. A couple of things to keep in mind, because like you, I wanted to try again straight away after my first loss.

- your ovulation will likely be delayed a bit (mine took 46 days) so you could be ovulation testing a while this first cycle which is quite stressful, that on top of..

- I wish I had taken time to emotionally heal, I have now and I’m now on my first active cycle of TTC again. I would say don’t put any pressure on yourself to get pregnant again straight away. You have been through something so traumatic and you deserve time to heal, however that looks for you 💕

Whatever you decide we will all be here for you, good luck with your journey ✨

Hey, can I join in?
Been TTC for 12 months, 15 unsuccessful cycles in that time. Going to contact my GP next week.
Really feeling it atm as my older (and only) child is due a sibling through his dad's side and my best friend is pregnant. It's becoming such a lonely process. My partner is still thinks it'll happen soon, bless him.

Welcome to the thread! Hope everything goes okay at the doctors, I certainly found that it made me feel like I was ‘doing something’ productive about it when I went to the docs. Sending lots of love!

I’ve read a fair bit about inositol helping to regulate longer or irregular cycles so I’m giving it a go.

@fishsticks i remember you saying a while back you were taking inositol? I have some I’m taking at the moment (just started) and I’ve done a bit of research but was wondering if there was a particular brand you used that’s as good?

The ones I’ve got are just Myo-inositol and chiro d or something like that but they are just some I got from amazon.
I’ve used my protein which was a powder to add to drinks etc (it’s tasteless) but I prefer taking it in tablet form! I got inositol with choline from vita something on eBay x

Welcome to the new ladies ☺

happy 2022! 🥂🎉

I’ve been spotting as predicted, so just waiting for full flow now and ready for a new cycle and feeling positive!

does anyone take vitamins? I’ve got folic acid and vit d and also a b12. I’m rit at taking them, so trying to be really good now. Also reading good things about ubiquinol Coq10 ? And I’ve seen evening primrose oil good for cm too, has anyone tried that?

Hope you’re all ok 🤍

Since my miscarriage I’ve started taking this prenatal called Ovum. It has Coq10 in it along with other vitamins and stuff that aid fertility and the natural form of folate rather than folic acid. It has really good reviews on Amazon anyway and if you read the book called ‘It Starts with an Egg’ it contains some of the stuff recommended in there too and her recommendations are all evidence based which I like. Too soon to tell if it’s making a difference yet but I hope it will!

We took proceive max for both myself & my husband for about 2 months. I never had anywhere near a BFP in a whole year til I started them & we got lucky. Maybe it’s a coincidence & maybe it’s not but I would def recommend them Altho they are dear. 110euro a month for both of us. Beforehand I was just taking folic acid & vitamin c.

Thanks both, I’ll have a Google. I’d prefer to take one tablet with it all in rather than 4/5 if you see what I mean! I hate taking tablets 🙈

I’m on CD33 - not been temping as was giving myself a break from going mad, so I don’t know if I have ovulated or not this month so far. I have PCOS so periods are crazy irregular but never this long apart, usually 31 days max (I bleed too much with pcos rather than absent periods) BFN and no sign of AF! So bloody annoying!!!! 😡 I did have a colposcopy towards the end of November then a bleed after that as I had to take something to stop my 4 week long bleed! wonder if that’s connected. Who knows! But January is 12 months of TTC so doctors soon to hopefully get the ball rolling for clomid or whatever I need!

If no AF before tomorrow could you temp on waking and that might give you some indication of if you are pre/post ovulation?

I have done this before as I also have irregular cycles and didn’t want to temp that cycle so just did it every 5 or so days to see if I had ovulated or not - but there is a clear difference in my pre and post temps so I could tell easily.

Happy new year everyone. Hoping 2022 is our year, wishing everyone well 💖

I'm due AF on Thursday but for past 4 days I've had abdominal cramping, dull back ache and one or two sharp pains in my pelvic area. Started on 6DPO. Been absolutely exhausted for the past two days as well. Worried my mind is playing cruel tricks on me and I fully expect my period to arrive in the next few days.

I'm grasping to anything I can at the moment.

Good idea! Didn’t even think about that. Thanks 😊

Hey! Hope everyone is okay xx
We’ve had our first appointment with the specialist (a year and a half of trying, 16 cycles), he has requested I go for a HSG xray, anyone had experience of this before? I appreciate it varies between everyone, but I feel a bit nervous!

I am so glad Christmas is over. I found it really difficult, there was pregnancy announcements, happy family matching pj pictures, babies first Christmas posts etc etc. I’m sure you all understand. I briefly came off fb for a short while as it all got a bit too much.

Hi everyone,
I’ve been lurking for a little bit but felt like I needed to post today. On cycle 3 of TTC and was expecting AF on Friday. Had a little spotting yesterday and generally feeling tired so was hopeful. Woke up in the middle of the night last night with my 3y/o and felt period pains and found AF had arrived early! My cycle is usually quite regular so surprised and also feeling really deflated.

I know we’ve only been trying for 3 cycles but I’m finding the whole process so emotionally draining and just feel I’m counting down days each month to each stage of cycle.
I know I’m really lucky to have a gorgeous daughter already but desperately want her to have a sibling. Also feel the time ticking of her getting older too. Didn’t really ‘try’ as such with my daughter so I think I’m also feeling frustrated with how stressful this all is! Drives me mad I’ve spent so much of my adult life feeling scared or worried about getting pregnant and now its all I want, it feels like it’s so difficult.

sorry for my little rant- just needed to get it out after waking up so disappointed this morning.

Hi All !
Have been a tattle lurker for forever but really wanted to join to be a part of this thread for support during my TTC journey as it’s still all very new to me. Been with my partner for 11 years and we agreed we wanted to try for a baby after my 30th bday. Had my copper coil out in October and we amazingly fell pregnant immediately , but heartbreakingly I miscarried. I wanted to try again ASAP. I miscarried on 9th Dec and I know it can take a while for your cycle to settle again but , If my cycle is a regular length for me this month AF is due Wednesday, although I know AF may not arrive until later due to the MC. I’m currently experiencing all the early pregnancy symptoms I did previously, although I feel like it’s my body playing tricks on me. If AF hasn’t arrived by Wednesday, should I test then? Sorry if all that doesn’t make much sense 😂😅

I’m so sorry for your loss. Have you taken any tests since your MC that have been negative? I’d just worry if you tested and got a faint positive, it could still be from your previous pregnancy. I had a regular period before I fell pregnant but my period didn’t come for almost 6 weeks after my MC.

I took a test 4 days ago because of my symptoms and the test was just staring at me in the bathroom, and it was negative. I feel like maybe my symptoms are just that my hormones are balancing out, but It’s driving me crazy just waiting for my period to arrive so I know where I’m at again.
