CD10 and I’ve just done my first LH test since September, when we had our second loss.

I’ve had 2 full cycles (with 0 TTC) since then, avoided DTD around when I would be ovulating so I wouldn’t have to think about the possibility of being pregnant but I think I’m ready to start TTC again. I normally ovulate between 19-24 dpo (I have long cycles) so still a few days to wait, I feel kind of excited about it again.

I’m still so scared but I feel like I have taken time to get back to being me outside of TTC so it hopefully doesn’t become my whole life again.

Hoping 2022 brings us all healthy pregnancies ❤✨

I just finished this month's opks (as in i peaked) and the relief of knowing that's it for another month, really starting to hate the opks, you become obsessed constantly peeing and testing and scrutinizing. I hate the premom app too, don't understand how a photo of a test determines how close you are to ovulating or not. Got peak on CB and premom still saying low ovulation, oh just duck off. Think im gonna go back to just judging my cm.
Sorry for the rant.

My sister just announced her pregnancy. Just married and presumably successful on their first attempt.

My first emotion was sheer jealousy. I don't think that showed on my face. Of course I'm happy for her but I feel like I've been kicked in the chest.

I cried in the car for 45 minutes.

I'm a horrible person.

youre not a horrible person. I promise you we have all gone through that gut wrenching emotion of delighted for them but devasted for yourself. Let yourself cry, take distance if you need it. ❤

You’re not a horrible person at all. I promise most of us on this thread will have felt those same emotions, I know I definitely have! Every time a friend announces a surprise pregnancy it’s like a punch to the gut! I sometimes have to walk away from my phone and reply another time. 🤍

Absolutely not a horrible person, your feelings are completely valid, I hope you’re okay! ♥

I had the joy of my stepchildren telling me on Christmas morning that they’re having a new baby brother. That was the hardest forced smile and “aw that’s fantastic” I’ve had to do.

I’m 10dpo (predicted, not sure when I actually ovulated) and I’m driving myself crazy. I have super tender boobs and quite tired.

I did a hcg easy@home this morning and it couldn’t have been more negative 😭 I guess I’ll wait for after New Year’s Eve and see if AF arrives

I’ve read a fair bit about inositol helping to regulate longer or irregular cycles so I’m giving it a go.

@fishsticks i remember you saying a while back you were taking inositol? I have some I’m taking at the moment (just started) and I’ve done a bit of research but was wondering if there was a particular brand you used that’s as good?

The ones I’ve got are just Myo-inositol and chiro d or something like that but they are just some I got from amazon.

@JLXRD Yes I did! That was pretty much the cycle I fell pregnant again and now I'm 13+3. Unsure it its a coincidence or not but it definitely helped me in some way.

I've never been officially diagnosed with PCOS or anything like that, but I read a lot on insulin resistance and I'm 99.9% sure that's something I have. I did sooooo much research and basically it said whether you have pcos, insulin resistance or not, there's no harm in taking it. So I thought why not!

I couldn't wait for amazon to deliver, so I bought the inositol with choline from Holland & Barrett. Apparently choline is good for you too and we don't get enough in our diets!

I started taking them at the beginning of September and by the end of September without any additional changes to diet or exercise I lost 10lbs.😳 Middle of October I ovulated and got my BFP that cycle. Didn't check my weight at that point so unsure if the September was a fluke or not.

Certainly worth a try!

Just jumping in as I think it may have been @fishsticks that recommended me to try inositol too! I definitely feel better for taking it, I have pcos and went nearly 7 months without a period, after the first month of taking it, AF arrived.

I started taking the myo-inositol and chiro-d from Amazon in white and pink packaging but then swapped over to My Protein - Milk Thistle tablets, they had slightly higher levels of inositol in compared the the Amazon ones I was taking, they also have folic acid in too (Which I prefer instead of taking lots of different supplements I can just take the one) My stepmum is really into herbal remedies too and said milk thistle is good whilst ttc.

The myprotein ones work out better value for money too, the only downside is the smell… absolutely vile!

@fishsticks @MrsWolf thank you both, I shall take a look! I have the pink and white ones currently but they won’t even last a month so will try one of your suggestions when they are gone 😊

You’re not a horrible person- emotions around infertility/pregnancies are so complained and unpredictable.

I’m blessed to have spent my first Xmas as a mum this year and it has been wonderful. After years of infertility, I truly appreciate how special it is. Despite this, a cousin of mine announced her first pregnancy on Xmas day and it made me cry. She conceived first time and I know that she has had an abortion previously after a one night stand. She was so smug when she shared the scan photo. We went to bed and I found myself in tears (husband who is lovely but couldn’t grasp how I could be upset given that my baby was sleeping next to me) - sad and angry that some women get pregnant so easy and some of us go to hell and back x

Anyone felt like AF was on the way (cramps etc) and it was actually a positive? 😬 yes I’m clutching at straws here 🤣

Yes I’ve been pregnant twice and it felt that way both times. I’ve had a lot of cramping in both early pregnancies similar to period cramps.

Yes it’s the only reason I tested when I swore I wouldn’t test on here a few hours before that! Fingers crossed for you.
