Thank you, I might buy the cheaper OPKs and try them. I’m not sure what my CM is like during my peak, I’ve not noticed much of a difference but will monitor going forward. Thanks for your replies

I haven't personally but have read great things online! I think if you can afford it, give it a shot x

Have you tried using an app like Ovia? It can be wildly inaccurate but allows you to input data for CM etc to keep track of things too

I think I need to start tracking properly, I feel very lost with my cycle ive been reading your replies @grumpycat they are so helpful, thank you! I feel like you’re a fountain of knowledge!

according to Flo I ovulated tues/weds and managed to DTD over this time so But I haven’t had a lot of CM and weirdly my boobs have started getting sore which is a week earlier than normal, they normally start hurting a week before my period, so I feel like AF is coming early this month!!

My partner works away most of the spring/summer so this month was out last proper shot for a while. I think in the autumn/winter I’ll buy the CB digi and start monitoring it properly so I know what’s happening.

So glad they help! I’m someone who loves to know the in’s and outs and would Google away all the time but so glad you are finding them somewhat helpful.

I know CM isn’t always a true indicator of O but I found I definitely felt more obviously wetter around that time. I really liked the CB digi as it’s a very clear answer and out the way first thing in the morning but I guess the problem is O is never guaranteed unless you BBT which I didn’t want to get into.
I found cheap OPK very hectic but it did help me realise my LH surge was very rapid and did indeed tail off. It is very common for your body to gear up to O and then not do it though

hey first post but thought I’d let you know as I wondered the same when considering acupuncture. I came off the pill in early 2020 to ttc but had very irregular periods since coming off. At the start of this year I got diagnosed with PCOS. I was willing to try anything to regulate my cycle and help us conceive so decided to give acupuncture a go.

After 4 sessions I got a period (first in several months) AND ovulated about 10 days after (I could tell from egg white mucus and BBT rise which I didn’t get after the few periods I had before). I am now pregnant as a result and over the moon. I don’t know if it was solely down to acupuncture but I definitely think it played a part.

I had the CB digi and it broke after I used it twice! But it did seem pretty simple so I’ll buy another I think. I’d just like to know roughly when I’m ovulating rather than ovulating either a week earlier than Flo is predicting or a week later! Basically Flo is not being accurate for me at all I may as well stop looking at it

That’s interesting! Congratulations on your pregnancy!

I haven’t been physically recording CM, only cycle days in a physical diary so I’ll try Ovie, thanks so much for replying

Happy Friday all

Thanks to you all being so helpful with your replies last week. Just jumping in to share my vaccine / AF experience. I got the first vaccine on Tuesday, was due for AF on Wednesday anyway and it arrived on time but it’s been very different to my ‘normal’ so far in terms of flow, colour and consistency

We’ve decided to call this ‘trial’ cycle 1 due to the vaccine, and ignore the 14 months of not trying not preventing for my sanity haha. I’m armed with my app, vitamins and ovulation sticks ready for this cycle thanks to you all and hoping for the best.. but I feel like my AF might be all over the place for a few months now, especially with vaccine 2 being in July Is there anyone that had their vaccines a little while ago now who can share their experience of how long it took to get your cycle back to how it was before?

(Totally get that some of you are not regular with your cycle anyway and certainly don’t want to cause offence.. just seeing if anyone who does have regular has any feedback on how it went for them)

Hi, I'm fairly regular with my cycle. I've had both doses and looking at my app it looks like my periods were longer than usual and cycle a few days out. But nothing I even noticed at the time and regulated themselves pretty quickly!

That’s really good to hear! Thank you!

Which vitamins are people taking? I started taking Co10 thanks to this thread.

I’m taking pregnacare preconception vitamins and I already took a hair, skin and nails gummy, Apple cider vinegar and vitamin d so have continued with those.

Ohh what’s co10 please and how can it help with ttc? I take everything I can folic acid, vit d, b12 (I don’t eat a lot of meat), magnesium, zinc and omega 3 (not a lot of fish either) x

I’ve had both my vaccines. My period was late after both of them by a few days, slight change in flow but no change for the cycle after and they’re completely fine now

I was 14dpo yesterday but the last two cycles I've been a day late. As expected its come, but literally just so I've waited all day. This is now cycle 18. I have kept upbeat and positive and I'm sure in a couple of days I will again. But there is only so long I can keep this up. I feel like I realistically am not just going to get pregnant now. I'm probably being emotional but however positive I try to be, the absolute heartache I feel every month is getting worse. I truly wouldn't wish this pain on anyone.
I know there are others far worse off, but right now my heart hurts so so badly.

Hope everyone’s okay.
I took the first steps and contacted my GP regarding ttc. Having bloods done and also an ultrasound to rule out pcos.

sorry you’re feeling so low be kind to yourself. It’s awful heartache, we all understand here. Have you gone to your GP for tests at all?

Just received another pregnancy announcement from a friend. So that’s 3 due in 3 months later this year. I’m so happy for them & so sad for myself. And I hate feeling this way , it’s so selfish.

It’s hard not to feel sad for yourself. It’s completely normal though to feel happy for others but to feel when will it be our turn
