Hi - I’ve been lurking here for a while bht not posted on this thread before. Hi ladies 👋🏻. I am wondering if any of you can help me understand LH testing/OPKs.

I’m 2 months(well first month I started on cd15 as that’s when my strips arrived from amazon) into using premom and testing strips . I am struggling to understand it - my LH levels are fluctuating a bit but staying in low range (is this normal to have minor fluctuations?). They weem to increase so I think a surge/peak may be coming but then the next day the number will have decreased. Is this normal ? I suppose I’m trying to understand what sort of numbers are normal natural fluctuations ? Even last cycle my peak was only ‘1’ and was in the high range on the app till the next day I was lower and it changed it to peak.

According to the other apps (Ovia, flo and p tracker 🤦🏻‍♀️Yes I have 3! 😂) I should have ovulated by now so when I saw the number still wasn’t that high today I wondered what my test strips mean.

Have attached pic of last month and two of this month. Grateful for any advice or interpretation- or pictures of your own so I can see what cycles actually look like, Altho I appreciate these will vary from woman to woman.

Thank you in advance guys ✨
Hey 👋

so take Premom as the app you work off, the other 2 will just be estimating (unless you put your strip results in them too!)

You had your peak cd 16 last month which means you would probably ovulate 12-48 hours after your peak reading so CD17/18. It’s normal for it to drop back down the next day.

So keep testing this month and you should ovulate in the next few days, once you see the peak reading you should DTD for a few days but I would start today if I were you as it’s likely to be in the next few days if you are regular 😊

I'm not sure whether Clomid is something I can take, it has never been mentioned and I think they prefer to use Letrozole as it has less side effects. Yes both cycles with Letrozole, second cycle on a higher dose too.

I already follow a lot of accounts on Insta but it's 99% people who are already doing IVF or IUI's. It's just a minefield and some of is just so... depressing. Even the success stories are just people who have done IVF several times and countless IUI's that have failed, it's just so much all the time!

Just seen your last post. I'm sending you lots of love ❤
Hi There,

If it helps, my consultant had me on letrozole and gonasi (a HCG trigger injection). I couldnt take Clomid due to other health issues, but the consultant also said that he had better results with letrozole. We did this for 6 months (with the doses increasing), which ultimately did not work for us, but I have endo and we have since found out that I do not ovulate. It seems a bit strange that they only had you do 2 cycles of this - did they give a reason why?

Ive been switched to another injection called Rekovelle, which is also used in IVF, but just a lower dose in this case. It is also supported by a Gonasi trigger injection.

We have done 3 cycles of Rekovelle which havent worked, and we are now looking at IVF.

Having gone through the drug cycles and a lap procedure, I am confident in the approach, but not before all the other options were exhausted.

Hi everyone, sadly already back on the TTC thread here as we had a miscarriage at 5-6 weeks pregnant on Friday 💔

I don't have regular periods, so the doctors said I could start trying when I'm not bleeding and feel ok. Has anyone else had a MC and TTC soon after?

Lots of love x
So sorry for your loss 💔

I found the easy at home ones to be the cheapest online, but you can use other sticks too. I use the easy at home ones for ease because then can compare to previous cycles etc too
I'm so sorry for your loss ❤ I miscarried last year at the same gestation, I waited until my first period after so I knew dates but know lots of women ttc straight away, it just means you won't have an lmp date to go by but if you track ovulation then you'll know yourself how far along you are. Good luck x

It depends how long your cycles usually are but I think only around cd21 is considered late in a 28 day cycle. I think I read the general rule of thumb is that if your luteal phase is less than 8 days then late ovulation can be an issue because it isn’t long enough for implantation etc xx
28 days normally. I should have came on yesterday but haven’t xx

I’m using the easy at home ovulation strips with the Premom app, I’m almost finished the strips. does any one know if cheaper brands work or do they have to be easy at home to be compatible with the app?

I'm on my first cycle and I've had cramping from pretty much 2 days after AF. This has never happened before and I'm not sure if it's my body panicking or what's going on. Just seems so very strange. My predicted ovulation is Friday/Saturday but I'm dubious as my CM hasn't changed at all. 🤔
Sorry if you’ve already mentioned - but is this your first cycle since stopping birth control? X

I’m currently only 5 dpo, but as it’s my first cycle off the pill I’m not sure when I would have ‘missed’ my period. Thinking I should just wait until like 18dpo if AF hasn’t shown up to be certain but that sounds torturous tbh 😂 definitely see myself cracking a little before that if no AF.

It’s so frustrating isn’t it when you DTD at what you think are the right times & it still doesn’t work. 😞

I’ve a question regarding your partners, how are they finding the process? Mine told me today he’s finding it stressful which is leading to DTD issues. Now I literally tell him as little as possible re testing cus I know it’s stresses him but he’s not stupid. I’d never jump on this much otherwise 🤣 I guess I just wondering if anyone else is the same and any way to relax about it.
At the beginning of the process my partner had no idea on ovulation and timing etc so I literally had to tell him when I was ovulating each month - however about 2 months in he told me he found it a bit regimental and it stressed him out. We don’t really discuss timings anymore and I think that’s kind of helped chill me out. He also feels less pressured because it’s not consuming our whole lives as much as we don’t feel like we’re planning our lives around DTD.

I’ve also realised that I cannot wait to surprise him with a positive one day 🤍

sadly it’s not our month - I’ve had so many symptoms I don’t usually have with AF and I really thought this was it but i don’t think it’s to be 😞 can’t wait til AF shows and I can have a Prosecco🙌 xx

Keep manifesting!!! Positive thoughts help. xx

I've had some weird symptoms this month similar to the above and I'm getting lower middle cramps now. I got a BFN yesterday and today. Think I'm around 10dpo today. Hope I'm not out already...! 😥

I had a wobble as I can't remember what my symptoms were like back in June... but I didn't get my BFP until 14dpo which then disappeared a week later. Hoping I can get a late BFP still....
You’re not out until Af shows lovely! Best of luck to you xx

Hi! I’ve never had a positive or faint line. Never had a miscarriage. I don’t know anyone else like it either.
Literally nothing, been trying over 2 years now
Hi! I’ve never had a positive or faint line. Never had a miscarriage. I don’t know anyone else like it either.
I haven’t been actively TTC for over a year, but I came off the pill 2017 and never a hint of a positive or any sign of a pregnancy x
I think this is what worries me. That there has been no hint at all that I can conceive. I wouldnt want any of you feeling like that but at the same time it's nice to know there's others that understand me.
I'm going to sound so naive saying this, but I've never taken a pregnancy test as I've never needed to! I've seen so many comments about not testing at xdpo, etc. due to false negatives/positives. I have no idea how many dpo I am as not tested, but AF is due 13th June. Is it best to stick to the general rule of not testing before your expected AF or is it okay to test before? So much conflicting information! thanks :)
A lot of women do test before, I myself find the negative harder to take, and as your still not out till AF comes, still have hope and then it's just worse as its prolongs it, prefer for AF to just arrive and test if it didn't. That's just me personally but I think a lot of women do like to test beforehand

I use the Premom app with the easy@home strips, it’s fairly spot on for when my periods due but the last month I’ve used the clearblue & it matched up perfectly with the easy@home.

I’m not sure about the sticky discharge, I’d def keep an eye and go see your GP if you’re concerned.
I do this too, and it seems pretty spot on for me too!

good luck, sounds like a lot of positive symptoms for some of you this month 😌🤍

We’ve decided to call this ‘trial’ cycle 1 due to the vaccine, and ignore the 14 months of not trying not preventing for my sanity haha. I’m armed with my app, vitamins and ovulation sticks ready for this cycle thanks to you all and hoping for the best..
Which vitamins are people taking? I started taking Co10 thanks to this thread.

I’ve read about using menstrual cups to and think we will be trying this once my partners back from his training course (side note- fuming at him being away this week whilst I’m ovulating)
I read that menstrual disks are a bit easier to begin with but I think it’s down to preference. The thing with the disks is that they aren’t as reusable as a cup as you only get a certain amount of uses from them.

OK, so these are Dutch but they must sell something similar in the UK?? I don't know if the long tail will make it easier to remove or be fiddly? Don't know if it's worth buying a period cup so I could use it for it's intended purpose after. I've been doing a bit more reading on this, I'm not going to post it in case it's wrong but there seems to be quite a lot of stuff on the internet about using a cup.

I'm definitely going to do it. Question is when? My little boy wants to go home to see granny so badly, he's already packed his little suitcase with bear, his "dorybooks", and little cars 😢 granny literally gets back off her holiday right before I ovulate and hubby can't come home with us. It's been 3 years, what's one more month 🤷‍♀️, or time is running out, every month counts (I'm over 40 already)? Grrrr, I hate the pandemic

I’m 8-9DPO and my breasts are killing me and I’m getting cramps but I keep telling myself it’s hormones/could just be my endo or IBS flaring up
