Hi guys, how reliable are First Response pregnancy tests? I took a CB digital yesterday (10dpo) and it was negative and did a FR today (11dpo) and I have a faint line! But it’s my first time using FR so is it an indent line? Are indent lines pink in colour too?

Had my call from the gp yesterday. I have pcos and it does not appear I am ovulating. She is prescribing me some medication to bring on a ‘period’ and in 6 months I can check in again with her if we haven’t conceived to look into other methods. Very unhelpful phone call tbh. If I’m not ovulating how can we carry on trying, if I’m not having periods how can I track anything. Has anyone had any success stories with pcos and no periods?
We do already have a child and I know we are SO SO lucky and she reminded me of that but it still didn’t make this news any easier.
Hi lovely, I don’t have any experience to give but would like to ask a question if not too personal please.
Have you had no periods at all for a while and also were you doing ovulation tests and none were high/positive? I only ask because a while ago I had a scan (before TTC) which showed shadowing, so wondered if I may have pcos. I never followed it up because it was a few years ago.
Sending love xx

I’m finding the time before I ovulate feels so long this cycle! I’m only CD12 but last cycle I didn’t ovulate until day 19 and the idea of waiting a week still seems so long, I’m already bored of poas 😂

Already on day 3 of the annoying little flashy face as well which honestly makes me want to throw the stick out of the window at this point. Hoping my cycle still has some regulating to do and maybe it’ll be a few days earlier again 🤞🏻

I posted on here last week thinking I could be pregnant. I am pregnant but I don’t think it’s going to stick I’m having the worst stomach pains 😔. I’ve had a miscarriage before and the pains are exactly the same. I thought about calling Epu but I had such a terrible experience the last time I was there. I haven’t told anyone not even my oh because he’s been working away.
Sorry I don’t have any advice to offer but I’m sending you a hug and hoping it works out for you 🤞🏻❤

I'm on my first cycle and I've had cramping from pretty much 2 days after AF. This has never happened before and I'm not sure if it's my body panicking or what's going on. Just seems so very strange. My predicted ovulation is Friday/Saturday but I'm dubious as my CM hasn't changed at all. 🤔

Hi, I'm fairly regular with my cycle. I've had both doses and looking at my app it looks like my periods were longer than usual and cycle a few days out. But nothing I even noticed at the time and regulated themselves pretty quickly!
That’s really good to hear! Thank you!

Hi everyone

first time poster here, currently on my second month ttc and I feel like time just drags on, but at the same time months seem to fly by! I have IBS and really struggle to DTD every other day during my fertile window as I get really intense stomach pain during intercourse. Does anyone else experience this and have any tips? Xx

Have you had Covid vaccines recently!? I was 3 weeks late after my first Covid vaccine and had nausea and stomach cramps for a couple of weeks before hand, I was convinced I might be pregnant 😞 Had my second vaccine and looks to be going the opposite way this time and my period is coming early. The cramps are already horrendous and I’m not due on until the weekend.
I had my first vaccine 8 weeks ago! This will be my third period since then the other 2 were on time!

Hi, yes you are getting on a bit, but please don't worry about it, I'm still here hoping to give birth before I hit 43😬😬😬 I only wish I was 32, or had managed to get pregnant at 32!!!😂 That message goes out to everyone here, I'm pretty sure I'm the oldest here, and when I had my boy, I was seriously old enough to be the mother of some of the other mums on the ward 🙈🙈

Anyway, I'd probably also recommend the super expensive clear blue predictor tests. I got some from a cheap shop and 3 have failed on me today. Cheaper ones will do though, you only throw them away!

I got a load of them and started testing this month on day 8, thinking I'd really track my ovulation but I was surprised by quite a strongly positive result - I jumped on hubby even though neither of us could be arsed. I'm really thankful we did because today the positive result is starting to fade 🧐😯. I'm seriously shocked, I really thought I'd just check every day this week and ovulate on day 14. So I'm really pleased I bought cheap tests and went ahead and tested myself with this attitude, I would definitely have missed out if I was being tight fisted with my clearblue tests 😂.

I've never bothered with an app, maybe it's worth comparing an app with your testing? I just feel the tests are a definite yes or no. Apps are written by computer nerds, hubby is a nerd & he's clueless 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Aw so sorry, I hope I haven’t offended you!
Thank you for your reply.
I did use a clear one last year but it stopped working after the first go so I’m unsure now.
See I wouldn’t know when I’m supposed to ovulate? Did I just test every day after my period ends?

Hi and welcome! I had a few apps too and they all told me different things. Im using Premom at the minute & I just started using clearblue last month & they both synced up. A friend of mine conceived twice very easily but she had sex every second day each time & it worked for her so that’s def worth a try. If it cools
Down! Good luck xx
Thank you so much. I’ll definitely look into that app x

Hello and welcome ❤
I personally found the clear blue ovulation sticks the most helpful but they are quite expensive. A lot of people swear by the premom ones which aren’t digital but a lot cheaper.
If you aren’t already, definitely start taking folic acid if you are TTC. I previously used the pregnacare pre conception tablets too.
Do I just need folic acid or the conceive+ ones?
I did use clear blue last year but it broke after the first go so I’m a bit unsure now xx

Hi ladies. I decided to keep tracking this month anyhow even tho husband is sick to figure out my cycle. I got a static yday on clearblue but my Premom sticks aren’t indicating anything. Now I’m on a a health kick and I’ve been drinking more water , I thought I read somewhere this can affect it? Or are they totally out of whack.
Drinking more water can affect it but also if you have a short surge then you can easily miss it only testing once a day (if I only tested once a day I would miss mine) so I would recommend doing morning and evening if you can.

It looks like it was darker CD19. morning but then there is 30 hours before the next test so you could easily have had a darker one afternoon and evening of CD19 and morning of CD20 but it’s then gone back down by CD20 afternoon iyswim.

I used Flo, but tbh we just DTD every other day and then every day when I was around the time I thought I was ovulating and that coincided with Flo.

I think Flo is only really useful if you're *regular* which isn't likely for most people!
I have three apps (the shame!) and Flo is the worst at the moment for predicting 🤣

So i did two early tests one Saturday one yesterday both positive straight away. My period is due today/tomorrow and last night I told my husband I swear I have cramps but have felt rubbish last few days anyway with tonsillitis. Well this morning I’ve had brown discharge after going to the toilet 😩. Convinced it’s my period but why the two positives? Feel like such a fool especially as I told the kids in excitement x
Congratulations! It may not be your period, did you have any implantation bleeding? Might be worth speaking to a GP/EPU for reassurance maybe. 🤞 for you.

same here, the pill is horrific! Great that you’ve had time off so you know your cycle there!

I don’t know it’s it’s true about the DTD every day all the time can be bad for sperm count - I did read a few things and I think they encourage frequent but (I’m not sure if this so true, but thought I would mention it for someone to confirm/deny/correct!)ejaculation every day can reduce the sperm count. A bit like the opposite of when men don’t ejaculate for ages sperm can be damaged etc. — I don’t want that to be alarming or anything!! I think every day over a short time is fine but if it was a for a long time perhaps.

I agree that the knowledge of ovulation can be a bit of a tricky thing to be able to ‘perform on demand’ too!
Ahhhh that's really interesting! I had no idea! Might need to have a read. Makes sense though, might have to tell him to chill his beans🤣🤣

I don’t I’m afraid but just wanted to say welcome to you and @fishsticks ❤ Great to have you here, fingers crossed it won’t be for too long!!
Hello! Thanks very much. So good to be able to talk about it 😊

I haven’t been actively TTC for over a year, but I came off the pill 2017 and never a hint of a positive or any sign of a pregnancy x
