I think if that's what she meant she would have said that. No part of what she said indicated to me that she understands how I am feeling. It was more bragging in my opinion. Hope I'm wrong but 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️
I don’t tell any of my friends that we are trying because of that very reason. Those without kids don’t get it & those with kids got pregnant each time they tried. They can never understand.

I had a hot date with Wanda too!🤣 nurse has the cheek to take my blood pressure straight afterwards and ask me if I was anxious as it was a little high 😂 as if I hadn’t just been spread eagle on a table face height with her 30 seconds before hand
Oh gosh it’s the worst isn’t it 🤣

I might join this thread - I’ve been lurking for a while as I waited to finish up on the pill and this looks like it’s one of the most welcoming and friendly TTC chats I’ve seen (some forums are a bit scary, at least for people just starting TTC).

I am on cycle 1, 4DPO, am 33 and I have diagnosed endometriosis stage 2. I have been advised to start testing for ovulation and temping etc initially my first cycle was just meant to be me learning how to do it etc then I got very positive OPKs and my BBT shot up so we decided let’s just start trying but now I’m in the TWW and as much as I tell myself I shouldn’t be disappointed if I get a BFN next week, I know I will be and start panicking.

I am struggling a lot with the hormone fluctuations and my endo has flared up during ovulation and currently (I have bad nausea which I know is just the progesterone) and I can’t take any of the anti inflammatories I normally have 😩

Anyone who went off the pill - do the fluctuations get better? I don’t think this happened the last time I was off the pill in my mid 20s 😭

Welcome 👋

I think everyone secretly thinks it will happen the first month and then panics when it doesn’t - please don’t worry if it doesn’t. It’s actually super lucky to get pregnant after one month, the odd are like 33% each month even with perfect timing and perfect health.

I have only been off the pill 3 cycles and I would say my mood and hormones stabilised as time went on.

Good luck 💖

Welcome and good luck 🤞 🙏 please don’t panic if you get a bfn next week, it usually can take time to adjust. Although some do get lucky.

I get really bad nausea too, sometimes during ovulation but always the day before af is due. It’s cruel because I still tell myself it could be my bfp.

Have any of you had your period delayed or gone strange after having the vaccine?
Yes I’ve posted in the thread about it. At first I was late for a week and now my cycle is slightly longer and I’m bleeding for less days 😣😖😣 I had my second jab in March so ages ago now

Found out last week (on our wedding anniversary 🤦‍♀️) that the second cycle of Letrozole has failed. Now time to induce a AF and then start injections instead which I am not looking forward too! I have failed to ovulate with meds twice now so really not feeling optimistic  I can't keep thinking if this doesn't work what are the options? Is it straight to IVF, which is no one wants to actually do.

It's just a lot, constantly! No relief whatsoever.

Thinking of you, sorry things aren’t going so well right now ❤ Have you done both cycles with letrozole, is clomid an option to try for you?

I have found there are a lot of accounts on Instagram who talk through their TTC journeys with inducing ovulation, trigger shots, ivf, etc - if you search the TTC or ivf hashtags, you might be able to find some stories of people who have already been down that route and see what steps they took first. Hope you get some relief soon xx

Another newbie here 👋 I'm 29 and me and my partner have only just started trying this past month or so. I have PCOS and Hyperprolactinemia = the most erratic cycles and I'm not even fully sure I ovulate, so I'm aware it could all be a challenge. However I am remaining cautiously optimistic as I know it is the earliest of days and one shouldn't assume! Has anyone else here got that happy little combo of hormonal duck yous? lol. A few of my friends have PCOS and have managed to conceive naturally (albeit after a fair while) but I haven't met anyone else with hyperprolactinemia/both. My best friend with PCOS actually just found out she is pregnant with MoMo twins 🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯

I'm trying to lose some weight to see if that helps the PCOS but really trying to avoid medication for the prolactin levels unless they get worse/conceiving proves impossible.

Anyway, it's so lovely to meet you all, you seem such a friendly bunch (I second the above poster - some other TTC forums are downright scary! lol).

P.S. I'm another one who can confirm when me and my partner first did the deed without protection we both went "Oh tit what did we just do?" 😂

Welcome and good luck!

I’m cd19 today. Feels refreshing as I’m not using opks this cycle, mainly because my OH has his sperm analysis booked in very soon, and I’m pretty sure if going by previous cycles it’ll clash with ovulation. Which is just typical as we will have to abstain for a few days 🙃. Feeling quite nervous about the outcome.

Sending you lots of love! ♥

I decided my wedding anniversary (also last week) was the best time to take a test after AF didn’t show (I’m not regular in the slightest so don’t know why I got my hopes up) BFN, was such a kick in the teeth as I thought it would be a nice present for my hubby.

I always think this around celebrations and then it's extra disappointing. I want to wrap up the box and give it to him. I can't remember where I saw it but there was a video online, I think it was a spoof where the girl put the test in a cake and the guy went crazy that she'd peed on it and would have let him eat it. It's a bit obvious and crap acting but it might lighten the mood a bit 😂

Hi ladies. I am fairly certain this pregnancy will not be progressing and I will be back with you all shortly, I just wanted to update you all.

I wrote last week that my tests weren’t getting darker and my CB digi was also stying in 1-2 weeks. I’m sad to say that my tests have still not darkened and this morning are nearly negative with very faint lines. CB digi has now said 1-2 weeks for 10 days. I know people say not to look at test darkness but for my tests to have been dark and now be coming back almost negative at 19dpo with multiple brands, it’s not looking good.

My symptoms have faded from last week - I know that means nothing but coupled with the tests, I am feeling fairly certain this will not result in a successful pregnancy.

I am obviously devastated and have spent the whole morning since testing just inconsolable. I never allowed myself to feel too happy as I was sure something was wrong, and I guess I was right. My husband has been so happy though and he is just crushed so I just feel incredibly guilty for his sadness, even though I know there’s nothing I could have done.

I am basically just waiting for the physical symptoms to start, which I’m pretty terrified about to be honest. I’m only 4+5 going by ovulation (or 6+2 from LMP) so I’m hoping it won’t be too physically painful. I have not gone through a loss before so I don’t know what to expect. This would have been our first baby.

I am rambling and I’m sorry for offloading here, but I didn’t tell anyone about the pregnancy and have no one to speak with about it, just feel like l can’t move forward at the moment.

I'm not sure whether Clomid is something I can take, it has never been mentioned and I think they prefer to use Letrozole as it has less side effects. Yes both cycles with Letrozole, second cycle on a higher dose too.

I already follow a lot of accounts on Insta but it's 99% people who are already doing IVF or IUI's. It's just a minefield and some of is just so... depressing. Even the success stories are just people who have done IVF several times and countless IUI's that have failed, it's just so much all the time!

Just seen your last post. I'm sending you lots of love ❤

Hi lovely, I am so sorry that it isn't progressing as you'd hope.

I've experienced what you might be going through. I'll pop it below just bcus TW.

At the time I didn't really know about tests getting darker, etc. It was our first month trying and I was absolutely elated to get a positive the day before my period so 13dpo. Although I had an instinct I was pregnant around a 10dpo. No positive until 13dpo. Took a digital the following day which said pregnant 1-2. I had middle cramping from 6dpo and this continued till 12dpo and I just had little twinges from then. No spotting.

14dpo (it was a Saturday) my boobs became veiny and sore, I felt nauseous and I couldn't stay awake past 9pm. That continued until the Wednesday and I noticed my boobs weren't as sore... I just knew something wasn't right, but tried to convince myself it was normal as I knew no different.

Thursday I found the tiniest (and I mean microscopic) speck of blood in my cm. Cried about it. A lot. Devastated. Friday symptoms were disappearing, fatigue has almost gone and my nausea had disappeared. Saturday evening I began to bleed. I worked it out to being exactly 5 weeks so my period was exactly a week late.

I can explain my experience of the loss physically after we knew, but it might not be helpful to you right now. Just know that it is so normal to feel guilty and upset.

I cried spontaneously for 3 weeks. I'd make a cuppa and cry. I'd walk into the garage and cry. I'd dust the window sill and cry. I couldn't stop crying. Even now I have a cry thinking about how far along I would be.

My husband still feels very emotional about it all. We talk about it together, but he's become very cynical and anxious about conceiving.

One thing I wish I didn't do was Google it. Now I'm terrified. I thought it might calm me but it didn't. Then I read some people get pregnant the cycle straight after and that didn't happen for me. My cycle was ridiculously long and I lost all hope. Thought there was something wrong.

I'm on cycle 3 now and the 2nd after my loss. My body seems to have settled now and I feel in a more positive place than I did. It was dark for a while and I won't lie and say it gets easier because it doesn't. I just hope I can find peace with what's happened and with myself one day when a rainbow baby comes our way.

Sending lots of love xx
