I'm so curious about mediums and would love to go to one. My issue is figuring out who the fake ones are and avoiding them!

Me and my mum went to one about 7/8 years ago and she was so accurate it’s unbelievable. I don’t use my actual name on social media and don’t post anything so I don’t know how she found things out x

I remember been around 8/9 ish and I was standing in my nans kitchen, she had a phone on the wall (anyone remember those haha) and I was stood next to it looking out of the kitchen towards her bedroom (it was a bungalow) and a all black figure came out of the door and started walking towards me. I screamed and it went away. No idea to this day what it was and no one had lived In the house before as they bought it when it was built.

my mums been to a spiritualist church and thought my grandma had come through to her as she mentioned something specific, that she saw her reaching into a tin and breaking a kitkat in half, my grandma always had a old celebration tin full of kitkats at the side of her chair.

my grampa passed a couple of years ago and I miss him terribly, I dream about him often but the dreams not usually about him he’s just there in it. I see robins sometimes but I know they can be a cliche. I’ve asked him for help getting jobs but the universe must not like that as it’s never worked out. I would love something from him to know he’s around though. Guess it’s just a comfort thing.

Based on my own limited experience of mediums and odd experiences. The dark shape you saw could have been from what was on the land previously. My own experience of this was that living in a 9 year old house and having 2 entities in the house - one from a one storey property and the other from a 2 storey property from that piece of land, I was informed by a medium that they had lived there before, and despite my protestations that it was a new house!!! it seemed it was so.
The KitKat example is exactly what your dear departed say, so that you know it's them. Some random thing that only means something to you, and not something that can be researched by someone looking you up.
I've always gone by personal recommendation for mediums or from a medium you respect.

My mum did one in her friends basement when they were kids. They were all accusing the other of moving the pointer which no one admitted to..then the basement door slammed shut.

She said it could have just been a coincidence but she's never done one again to find out

My friends who live(d) in older houses have experienced giggling children, noises and sightings so I assumed I was safe moving into a modern house that was only 6 years old.
Then a couple of years in it started. Having been hauled off to psychics by neighbours and friends. I remember one of them saying it was connected to the land and what had been there before.
Turned out one of the spookies wasn't happy with what I'd done to the garden.

They’re quite sensitive souls these spookies aren’t they? Yours being upset because you’d done something to the garden and my friend’s being apologetic that he’d made a loud crash and my friend had had to investigate did you and your spookies come to an agreement about your garden? I always worry about making changes to an older house in case I upset the ghosties - but our house now is an old barn conversion so I’m hoping the ghosts here are only of cattle so won’t do anything too much

I have never tangled with mediums, but my dad died recently and made contact through a very close family friend of ours a few months ago, when she went to see a medium. The message was very strong, insistent and comforting (she recorded the session and sent it to us). I don't know how mediumship works, but I can imagine my dad elbowing his way to the front of queue to get his message to us. Great for us, but possibly a bit disappointing for the friend who was trying to speak to her nan...

Them upstairs do let the newbies push to the front of the queue to communicate with their loved ones down here, so I expect the Nanna allowed them to do this.

I remember being told that after they have died they can be around people for a while and then they can't in the same way. I've had quite a few people report sightings not long after the person died.

I think it must be to do with "moving on". They haven't properly gone to "the other side" so both they and you can't move on.
I remember a lot of white feathers at one point which I thought was strange. I googled it and it said it was a message that they had arrived on "the other side".
The relative who died had been very interested in Caron Keating's death (Gloria Hunniford's daughter), so I assumed it was connected with that - the feathers.

not sure if we got another sign today. An important anniversary for my FIL. I've taken my friends dog for a walk around my house. There's a small wood that we always walk our dogs in and I know there is so much wildlife in here including deer but I've never seen one.
Today, of all days, as I come to the entrance of the wood, there is a deer stood right there. Literally next to the road. It spots us, waits and then runs off.
Probably a coincidence but I was just thinking about my FIL when it happened

I believe that you were meant to see that deer and it’s a message. Always gives me goosebumps when I read things like this.

Love reading all your posts.

I long to see my Dad or dream of him. I’m always asking for a sign that he’s here and that everything will be ok.

When he first passed I used to see Robins a lot, at very appropriate times and places. Also white feathers.

And I had a couple of vivid dreams where he was there but never spoke, and I longed to hear his voice.

It’s been 3 years now. I still miss him so much and often talk to him and ask him for signs but I don’t get that same sense that I’m seeing messages anymore.

I hope it’s because he’s in a better place and is watching over us there.

I know some people don’t believe in stuff like this, but for me I feel like there must be some truth in it otherwise what’s the point?

So it’s comforting reading the experiences of others.

I wrote about something on this thread that happened to me earlier.
A few months ago I'd watched an episode of Uncanny that involved a TV. In the morning we were both woken by the TV downstairs blaring - it had somehow turned itself on. That's never happened before or since.
Anyway yesterday evening I was listening to a new Uncanny episode on the radio - about a UFO in the US. Anyway at the moment the witness said 'the lights went out' all the lights in my house went out. I nearly shat myself tbh
Now obviously this could be coincidence and an overactive imagination. Probably is. But I'd avoided Uncanny since that first thing and this was the first time I'd listened since. Which is annoying as I like it.
I just wondered if anyone else thought if you are a sensitive and receptive person you can open your mind to wierd stuff. Not necessarily bad - but odd. I can't watch any horror or occult things as I dwell too much.
I hope this all makes sense!

I am actually too scared to watch Uncanny. I watched the first series and it dwelled on my mind so much, I just couldn’t watch any further episodes. I’m always interested in the supernatural, but I have to go easy on it and watch it in small doses.

There are lot of charlatans out there and I've been to a few were I have literally laughed at what they were saying. However, when I was 24 I was doing some travelling and I was in Thailand and I suppose the guy I saw was a psychic of some sort. He was an old guy with an interpreter. He eventually said that I had been ill and had had a big problem with my heart. When I was 21 I had had major heart surgery. There was no visible scarring for him to pick up on and that freaked me out a bit because that's something unusual to pick up on on a 24 year old. He also came out with a couple of other things that were true as well. I felt a bit unnerved after I'd seen him.

He also said I was going to come into a lot of money unexpectedly, like a win. I'm still waiting for that one.

I was chatting to a till operator in Marks and Spencers once and she mentioned she'd won the Pools, then she said a psychic had predicted it and also that she was going to win them again.
Can't remember if she said how much she won as it was years ago.

I'd love to go to Chillingham Castle, we were going to do the Halloween ghost hunt but by the time we sorted numbers it was fully booked. I always think of it as the most haunted place in Britain and would love to see if I feel anything there!

Bear with me on this before jumping down my throat. I haven't told anyone for that reason.
Setting the scene. While I'm beavering away all day I put You Tube on to listen to, and if you know You Tube, it shows everything you've ever done a Google search on in it's videos.
So as I've got a major fascination with the Tudors, especially the Royals that comes up a lot. Naturally as I belong to Tattle and various threads including astrology, psychic, ghosts, You Tube has put them in the mix.
Lately I've noticed a pattern, but because I was busy whilst listening I didn't know who'd said it apart from psychics, tarot readers and astrologers.
The Tudor court has been back in plain sight for decades and it's playing out Karma and justice in front of us, particularly for one person who was really bad in a previous incarnation and did awful things to people. In this incarnation he feels bad about it subconsciously and wants to make it up to one person particularly. His wives are around him from one previous incarnation. I noticed someone posted on the Royal thread, I think it was a video of him stood while a wife he loved from a previous incarnation married someone else in this life. I must say he did look a bit tortured.
His mind's in chaos, he's not the King in this life and is now facing betrayal by the system. He wants to make it up to one of his Queens so is running after her like a lapdog.
This kind of thing plays out in our own lives. People we're drawn to ready to act out the next cycle. It's all quite fascinating.
I finally heard one of the voices on You Tube again that I recognised and shot down the ladder to see who it was. Feels like I need to lie down and pay full attention to what she's unravelling from the past and how the same kind of thing is in our own lives

This question is posed:

"Who in your life do you run after and no matter what they say or do
you pave the way for them, or you stick up for them and defend them at all costs?
That will be a person you did something horrific to, you're trying to please them. Or maybe you're taking on a soul contract where you're in a punishing situation, where literally you're being their victim".

Anyway it was fascinating through listening to some of her other videos on the Tudor Royals which well known figure in the past is back as another well known figure now.
I literally have to stop myself now when they come on the TV or someone mentions them from a magazine article. E.g. I could say "oh that girl dumped him in this life, ok he was a Royal but she would rather marry someone non Royal and be happy especially when you think if what happened when she was married to him in a previous incarnation." Everyone in the room would turn and stare like I'd lost my mind.
I still have to work out who the astrologer(s) who've checked their charts to verify and corroborate events between people in that life and this life.
Have a listen to one of them when you can really concentrate on what she's saying - as I've said and people in the comments it's fascinating.

In the past few weeks I’ve noticed a few odd signs and coincidences. I’ve been particularly down and anxious about a few things, so I know my defences are down and others will say they are all explainable; It’s just me wanting them to be more.
But last night I was lying in bed before OH came up, and it honestly felt as though someone lightly touched my back a couple of times.
I’d heard OH go into the bathroom so I knew it wasn’t him getting into bed.
It was the lightest touch, so, again, it could be explained away I suppose, but it definitely felt like someone touching me.
