I never ever dream about my mum (apart from twice), I'm 34 now and she died when I was 3.
The first time was when I was getting a tattoo the next day of her name and she seemed annoyed, my dad said she wouldn't have liked it 🤣

The second time was just randomly about a year ago now and in the dream I was swimming in a swimming pool and she was by the side, I shouted out to her and she didn't say a word but just smiled and walked away even though I was shouting on her. I've often wondered what the meaning of that dream was.

I've asked her loads of times to please visit me in my dreams but she never does.

I posted up thread that my daughter (2 at the time) was talking to a lady in my room who was making her laugh, still wonder if it was her!

One of the baubles on our Christmas tree has just flown off the branch the string is still intact and nobody has been near it for hours
You've just reminded me. Someone told me to whip out my phone and start photographing around me next time something funny happens around me. Said they were told to do this by a psychic.
Trouble is you're so stunned it's the last thing you think of. 🙄😁

I've been told I'm a "sensitive," that's why I supposedly picked up on the spirits? ghosts? in my house.
I put it down to my heart beating so fast when I was really ill - that I got up to the same energy as "the other side" and that's why the little boy spirit/ghost tried to communicate with me.
I've been asked by some visitors if my house was haunted, whereas other people couldn't sense anything wrong. They are people who aren't sensitive it turns out.
It isn't an old house either. The worst happened 10 years after the house was built.
The medium who the next door neighbour got round said don't even bother moving as you'll probably meet up with the ones in your next house. At least you know the ones here! 😁🙄

My mum did one in her friends basement when they were kids. They were all accusing the other of moving the pointer which no one admitted to..then the basement door slammed shut.

She said it could have just been a coincidence but she's never done one again to find out 😅
Omg 😨 I’d have screamed 😂

I don't know what to make of this so please forgive me whilst I ramble.
My Father in law died last Friday. It was expected but is still so damn horrible.
He was an avid mountain biker and every day since he died the weather has been beautiful mountain biking weather. Probably a coincidence.
But today, we went for a walk at a country park. Turned the corner and David Bowie was playing full blast who was my FIL favourite artist.
Wouldn't think anything of it but I asked him last night to send a sign that he was OK.
My boyfriend brushed it off as us "looking for signs" and it probably was a huge coincidence but we've walked that trail so many times, passed the park run event so many times and never have the organisers been playing 80s/90s music.
We are sent lots of signs when a loved one passes. Sounds like you got yours.

Love reading these! I know I’ve posted a couple of my own ghost experiences but also wanted to post my weird glitch in the matrix experience. Not a ghost story, but unexplained and weird and only happened last summer!

I live about 10-15 mins from the beach. In the summer, my friend and I like to go down in the evening for a walk (run if we’re feeling ambitious and a swim if we’re feeling really brave!). We would usually leave to head home anywhere between 7:30-8:30. One evening late last summer I was driving back, was just dusk so around 8:30. Bear in mind I drive this way back from the beach whenever I go and also, if I am in a certain place for work, I will drive this way home. I also drive this way to the gym and occasionally into town just because it’s much prettier than the main road. It’s not an unfamiliar route.

So, I was driving home, chilling, music on, minding my business. There is one signposted turning off the main lane down a tiny one to a little hamlet. Drove past that, and a few minutes later thought the drive felt longer than usual. Just as I thought that, I passed the same sign again. There are no other turnings off the lane. I couldn’t possibly have looped round or gone back on myself because it’s just one lane. I drive it at least weekly so I know the road really well. I have absolutely no explanation for this, and it hasn’t happened again. Every time I drive that way home though I always expect it to happen again. Weirdest thing ever.
I absolutely love hearing about glitches in the matrix! So weird and interesting!!

Did you have to provide your name/address or sign up for the event? I’m always very sceptical of people who claim to be ‘mediums’.

I went to see the Uncanny: Fear of the Dark show a couple of weeks ago and it was excellent. We did the meet & greet as my son is a big fan and felt that Evelyn seemed in a bad mood (as someone else mentioned up thread) and didn’t smile at all. She was very good on stage though.

The only unexplained thing that has happened to me was when I was sitting in my parents’ lounge one night after they had gone to bed. I was in my early 20s, so can remember this very clearly.

I was sitting on the sofa reading the paper, when my mind started wandering about an account I’d read about a television turning itself on in the context of a haunting and thinking it must have been bullshit because it can easily be ascribed to the TV being on standby and an electrical surge. Suddenly, the TV in the lounge switched on and completely freaked me out. My parents were paranoid about house fires and always unplugged/switched off every electrical appliance before going to bed. Sure enough, when I went over to the tele, it was switched off at the mains.

I turned it off using the button and tried to switch it on again, but of course it wouldn’t switch on…because it was switched off at the mains.
Wow that's crazy, it's almost as if you willed it in to being!.

I just provided an e mail address for the tickets. Nothing identifiable in my e mail address. I suppose they would have my name from the payment but I don't do any social media fb etc.

There were some eye roll moments like saying to a woman with a strong southern accent 'I sense links to the south' !!. But then she said to one lady 'oh you put this item in your mother's coffin' and the lady said she'd never told anyone that. Jury's still out for me.

I can't say how absolutely true this is as I don't remember it but apparently not long after my mum's ex boyfriend died suddenly when I was a toddler, I was going on my merry toddler way when I just stopped everything, pointed ahead of me and said "man" when there was nobody there.

My mum is never prone to flights of fancy so I think this must have happened, but nothing else similar ever did.

They say babies/kids can be more "tuned into" to the spooky stuff so I do wonder about it.

For those who did the Edinburgh vaults, did you go to Greyfriars Kirkyard? That can be spooky, with a really interesting history.
Some Harry Potter names buried there although JK said it's coincidental.
Yeah I've done the graveyard, been in the closed off part in a tour with yvette fielding 🤣

I was reading stories about ouija boards a few days ago. If anyone has done one, what made you do it? Did anything happen?
I’m too scared to ever do one just in case 😅

Just getting to the end of the Ann Boleyn one and she says Meghan married Harry on the 19th May - the day she was executed in her previous life. I had to stop and check and she's right.😳

This sounds like a visitation. Lots about them online.
I have dreams about my mum but once had an experience like you described. It was at a very stressful time. I know she was there 🤍🤍
It’s brings me some peace and comfort that she came but no matter how many times she could or would come it would never be enough I’d always want one more 🩷🩷🩷

I think it must be to do with "moving on". They haven't properly gone to "the other side" so both they and you can't move on.
I remember a lot of white feathers at one point which I thought was strange. I googled it and it said it was a message that they had arrived on "the other side".
The relative who died had been very interested in Caron Keating's death (Gloria Hunniford's daughter), so I assumed it was connected with that - the feathers.
Oh wow, I do hope wherever my mum is she’s at peace. I do wish I could see her more though x

I felt exactly the same in the same Edinburgh vaults when I went last year. I couldn’t wait to escape back up and I usually love anything supernatural. Like you said it just felt very cold and menacing. Really oppressive energy.

I’m going to see uncanny live on Friday and looking forward to that.
So I’ve been on the ghost tour in the Vaults too but didn’t feel any of that, to the point I stood in the stone circle that had some sort of premise about witchcraft I’m sure. It only felt creepy because of the stories being told, or maybe I’m just not in tune with that kind of thing.

Enjoy Uncanny! I went a week ago and loved it. Danny is super engaging, Kieran comes across really well too it was more Evelyn was like she was in a bad mood but still brilliant nonetheless. Just hope your audience stories aren’t as bad as mine were!

I am actually too scared to watch Uncanny. 😂 I watched the first series and it dwelled on my mind so much, I just couldn’t watch any further episodes. I’m always interested in the supernatural, but I have to go easy on it and watch it in small doses. 😁
The podcasts are the best...although the shadow man episode on TV was excellent!....there's a thread on uncanny on here! I love it xx

We'll need to keep an eye on King Charles as Thomas Howard died on 25 August. That's if I've got the right Thomas Howard.
