I'm just back from scouting a location for a paranormal investigation later this year. It is a 15th century manor house, absolutely beautiful building inside and out. Each room is decorated as it would have been during different time periods. The owner told me to just wonder about on my own. I got about halfway round the place and I had to make a swift exit because I was terrified. I felt like I was being watched and that something was following me. This is my 20th year doing paranormal investigations so I feel it takes a lot to really spook me but that place got me. I lied to the owner and said that I didn't realise the time so I cut my tour short, but I have booked it for late November. I think it will be quite an active one!

So this is kinda hazy - 15 years on but im recollecting it just as I remember. So when I was 17 by beloved Grandad died, he died in April 2006. In the same year my parents went on holiday for 2 weeks leaving me to watch the house. I had a boyfriend who basically moved in for the fortnight as well as my (third wheel) best friend. The first week was kinda inconspicuous but there was kinda odd stuff - I’d hear noises in the kitchen when we were sat eating our dinner which would make us all just stop look at eachother then carry on.

One night, me and my boyfriend went to bed and left my best friend downstairs with a guy who she was kinda seeing. I assume things were getting hot and heavy. Five minutes after going to sleep I got awoke with a huge bang downstairs, I rushed downstairs to see the two candle holders that were wedged on to a nail on the wall had both fell off simultaneously. This freaked me out, my grandad was proper old school, two kids getting it on in someone else’s house would’ve been so disrespectful to him. Anyway, I calmed down, called my aunty (grandads daughter) told her everything & how scared i was, she came up to check on house.

Week after I invited a few friends around for a little drink. They all knew all stuff that had been happening, noises, flashing lights, candles dropping but still came round regardless. Anyway, I left the house briefly to go and meet another friend to walk back to mine. Upon returning everyone was subdued - acting weird. I asked my best friend what was up, she said a wine bottle had been hurled straight from the empty dining room to the back garden & smashed in the middle of everyone. There was no one in the dining room & my friends aren’t holes they’re not the ones to do stuff like this. I was obviously distraught at this point and asked everyone to leave and my best friend said they didn’t want to tell me as they know how I’m edge id been all week. I let my aunty know - the day after I went to my grandads grave and asked him to stop as he was really scaring me. It was a awful fortnight in retrospect.

Few years prior - before my grandads passing I was downstairs watch a PPV main event. Got myself comfy for the night - snacks & duvet. It was about one hour in & I heard the loudest heavy breath coming from the dining room adjacent to me. I bucked it upstairs at the speed of lightening. I woke my dad up and told him, asked him to go and get my duvet, so he did. Five minutes later there was an almighty thud and the grandfather clock on the wall fell off. 10 years it had been on the wall. Fast forward to now and my mum who is the most sceptical person says she’s woke up a few times to a feeling of the quilts being pulled from her and to wake up and they have been.

Not for a long time. We used to try live feeds of them but the wifi coverage at the locations wasn't great. We are working on something for next year which I'll hopefully be able to tell you all about soon.

I honestly don’t know if this is paranormal or not but it’s definitely one of those situations that I can’t explain. I would have been 15 possibly 16 at the time. I went to bed one night as normal and was woken up around 2.15am by a pinging sound. It wasn’t loud so it didn’t make me jump or anything but I could hear it clearly and it wasn’t continuous. I would drift off back to sleep and then I would wake and hear it again. When I woke the next morning I had completely forgotten about it to be honest. My mum called up asking if I had any cups or glasses in my room and to bring them down with me if I did. I had a glass on my bedside table so I picked it up to take downstairs and the top of the glass was completely detached from the bottom of the glass. It was a perfect smooth clean break, so smooth that I could run my finger along it and not cut myself to pieces. It was then that I remembered what happened in the middle of the night and realised that the pinging noise was the top of the glass very slowly detaching from the bottom of the glass. It freaked me out! I also used to hear church bells ringing in the middle of the night even though there were no churches anywhere near where I lived and even if there had been why would they be ringing at like 2.30-3.00 in the morning?

My mum bought a bungalow where someone had died, a single man in his late 70’s who had apparently just collapsed one day.

Every so often, in the dead of the night, there would be an almighty thump and a crash against the wall in the hallway. The only sound I would compare it to, the one time I was staying and experienced it, was like the ironing board and fallen out of the cupboard and crashed to the floor, but if you went out to look, nothing would be amiss. Absolutely no explanation as to where the noise came from.

My mum was talking to the neighbours one day, and they said that the man would come back blind drunk every couple of weeks, and they’d hear the heavy front door swing on its hinges as it opened inwards and crashed against the wall. There were dents in the plaster when my mum looked, and one morning after hearing the noise there was fresh plaster crumbled on the floor.

The last time she heard the noise was a month ago, and she’s not heard it since. So I guess he’s home, and hasn’t left again.

I really don’t know what I would call this experience and given it’s the anniversary today of the persons passing (17 years) I thought that I would share this experience it’s very personal to me and I almost feel embarrassed incase it’s just my mind playing tricks but it felt so real to me and made me have a panic attack when it happened only a few people I’ve told so here it is .. one day back in spring 2010 I was walking to work down the same route I always took was a nice sunny hot day and this road is one of the main roads of the city where it happened .. anyway minding my own business listening to music , I saw a hearse felt creeped out but not by that by the person riding a old fashioned bicycle who was smiling and looking at me but looked like a real person that person looked like the relative that passed in 2006 down to a t even wearing the same clothes and colour of clothes I freaked out panicked and then it dissapeared I just got this gut feeling whatever I saw wasn’t from this realm you know I have seen the same “spirit” twice again in other parts of the city on a old fashioned bike I’ve also seen spirits I don’t know but can tell they are spirits (they always look scruffy for some reason) they’re always riding an old fashioned bicycle seen one lady riding a penny farthing too I just don’t know if anyone else has experienced this can’t find anything on it
---
Too add to that I remember one of my exes telling me her mum her Nan and herself saw what they thought was her grandad who passed riding a bicycle who said hello and looked like him .. she told me after I had my experience I never told her about it or after it so how would she know

I watched the girl, the ghost and the gravestones and I agree with others that it was probably made up. The mum especially just didn’t seem credible. Can anyone recommend any other similar documentaries? I’m up to date with uncanny and haunted uk podcasts. Thanks 😊

I’m not sure if the area I got creeped out in was on that floor but I remember getting the lift up to one of the floors. Sent a shiver down my spine reading that! :(
