When I was a kid ( about 45 years ago) there was a part of the Liverpool Museum that used to freak me out. It was a small, dimly lit area that had cobbles and pictures of victorian slum streets with a soundtrack of kids playing ...
this one had all sorts of different outfits and weapons from years ago and it’s really dimly lit! Just really creeped me out!

I have a friend like this too.. I am also like this as well, but I haven’t really tapped into it, I tend to block it off as yes it’s draining but last year I picked the Melbourne Cup winner 2 months in advance (they weren’t even favourites at the time or anywhere close to it). For anyone that doesn’t know, the Melbourne Cup is the big horse race that happens every year in November in Melbourne, Australia.
I also have an upcoming important hospital visit and I knew the date I was going in before they even called me with the date
That’s crazy I get little things and big things too in 2004 I was 14 I picked the winner because I got told by spirit it would win! And it did I always think of a random person then they contact me people not seen or heard from in years I also know when freaks me out I also pick up on friends headaches and colds without them telling me the people closest to me I get their pain sometimes wish I could switch it off tbh! I find if I put tv or radio on I always get a message and also I see signs from the universe all the time if anyone knows about law of attraction I see 111 daily 🌈🪄😳

On paranormal tv shows they use cameras that show stick figures….does anyone think they are the ghosts? I’m not a sceptic at all when it comes to the paranormal but I am a bit with that!

Apart from Uncanny, A Ghost Story, Witch Trials, Haunted UK… what are good spooky podcast recommendations? I’ve listened to Him Harold’s Campfire and Radio Rentals too, but would love some other decent ones to give a go.

I had a similar thing happen to me I had a tower fan and I used to put it on every night (yes I’m one of those who have to sleep with a fan on lol) and it used to wake me up going crazy going from different speed settings.. used to turn itself off and on again, used to randomly come on if I wasn’t in the room and then would just change it’s settings on its own and start spinning even though I always had it on static lol. Freaked out I was so I got rid of it 🤣
Glad to hear I'm not the only one 😄

Amazing! Thanks so much, these sounds exactly what I was looking for.
Real Life Ghost Stories is brilliant. Graveyard Tales is a mixture of spooky, cryptids, weird things, things we don't understand, and dad jokes. Ghosts N Bears, Mysteries and Monsters, and Haunted Road are others I listen to. Astonishing Legends for deep, deep dives into stuff similar to Graveyard Tales but really deep dives, several parts and hours worth.

Blue_Mermaid_ which book would you recommend that I buy to start with? I want to know more about the man but also the rituals he did.

I've spent a good couple of hours watching videos about him, I will chance getting back into this despite the scary past, I should be past all that now and see it with more mature eyes.

So usually I listen to a lot of paranormal podcasts and, normally, I fall asleep! However strangely, since going to see 2:22, I’ve not been able to as I’ve been so spooked?!? I have no idea why!

Unrelated but anyone watching the fall of the house of usher on Netflix it’s a tv show but is a bit spooky I’m half way through it so far so good
I’m at my parents for a couple of nights and me and my dad started it earlier tonight. He watched the opening scene, literally about 3 mins and said it was underwhelming and turned it off 😂😂I’ll get him to at least push it up to 10 mins for tomorrow night

thank you all for your lovely, supportive, kind comments, I am so grateful and so blessed. you are all so good <3

Reading about the grave that is abandoned and looking dishevelled reminds me of a post I read on reddit or buzzfeed or something, a person noticed a grave that was abandoned and neglected and they felt sorry for them, so started bringing flowers to the grave and tending it. I cant remember the ins and outs but it was someone who killed their wife and kids and it was the murderers grave they had been tending. I shouldnt laugh but....

edit to say, I got the story somewhat wrong...

Man reveals he met his wife in a graveyard after unknowingly leaving flowers for her murderer uncle - and the bizarre story has gone viral | The Sun
I really really want this to be a true story. Have my doubts though.

Edited to add - maybe it is true! https://www.standard.co.uk/hp/front/man-murders-wife-then-dies-under-train-7241842.html
