told to me by family friend who has family in Asia- this incident occurred 8/9months ago. An elderly farmer, his 30 yo son, and his nephew travelled to a small clearing not far from their home to gather some firewood from the outskirts of a sparse forest.
it was at dusk, (and bear in mind this is a village in Asia, women do not often travel alone or unaccompanied after dark.)
After gathering some wood and tying it up, the elderly man heard a familiar female voice coming from inside the woods, addressing him by name, asking for help. The man told his son who heard it too and they went inside the woods to investigate. The voice called out again, from even deeper within the woods, and the elderly man stopped in his tracks, and instructed the boys to turn back immediately and to not look back or take heed of this voice. As they were slowly backing away, the voice calling them become closer, and as they all turned to run out of the woods the voice sounded from immediately behind the old man addressing him by name again “WHY ARENT YOU HELPING ME”, the old man, reciting prayers and religious texts, managed to make it out of the woods into the clearing. The voice was heard saying “you got away from me this time, but you won’t next time”
All 3 men managed to make it home, obviously very confused & frightened, and the following morning a few villagers went back into the woods to investigate incase there had been a woman in distress there. Nothing was found.

What do they think it could be ? Are there any legends of this sort of thing in the village ?

This is exactly what happened to me 2/3 times when I was late teens, early twenties in my parents old house. Someone sitting on my chest, witch like. I was screaming at the top of my voice, struggling to breath or move… then I’d wake and run into my parents room next door to say sorry for waking them up (as I’d been screaming). They were fast asleep and I hadn’t actually screamed. Terrifying

Freaks me out as I’d never heard of it, knew about them…. To hear other similar stories is 🫣

I’ve had sleep paralysis happen to me before, it hasn’t happened to me in a while though but I would get it quite often and it freaked me out so much

Christ I shouldn’t have gone down the rabbit hole of reading the old posts about sleep paralysis in this thread just as I get into bed myself! Horrifying!

No way. 😂 There was also a Live show once where Derek got frustrated and called Sam a “dunkee”. It was all so bad but so entertaining at the same time. 🤣

I had a friend years ago who wasn’t a medium but could read voice vibrations. He could give you accurate details about random stuff not connected with what you were saying.

I’m really enjoying uncanny as well. I loved the podcast and am enjoying the programme. I like the fact that they look at things from all angles
Although I think the woman claiming she was the girl in the time slip story was a bullshitter as why would you run off if someone said to you did you see that as well. Surely you would stop and talk about it. Urban myth I think.

Thankyou lovely sorry I got the wrong idea and it’s so true people dismiss these things apl the time but we know what we’ve experienced don’t we I was also in Chester about ten years ago walking at night and saw like a Victorian man in a top hat and can he turned around and dissapeard checked was no where to be seen

What channel is that on? Sounds interesting.

Now that I think of it, does anyone remember the medium with the walking cane (I think her name was Mia?) who used to “clear” people’s homes on some show? I think she also appeared on some morning show and got everything drastically wrong. She was shockingly bad all round 😂

I've been tempted to collect them, even though I'm scared to use the one I have. 😂 Tarot & oracle cards though, no problem. I have 15 different decks and have never been worried about using those.

So just go off your gut feeling really. Ask how long they have been practicing the real deal will say they have had it since a child but been part of some spiritual development for a certain amount of years. The really good ones charge £60+ where as I am just starting it out as a business charging £30. Some mediums do lives on Facebook which is where I found my circle leader. I hope that helps xx
