This isn’t a ghost story as such, but I just found out about ’third man syndrome‘…has anyone ever experienced this? When I get really upset and cry, after a few minutes I feel an extremely comforting feeling come over me, it’s probably endorphins that your body releases when you cry but I defo feel a comforting presence!

I love help my house is haunted, how much is exaggerated is anyones guess, but the celeb episode with Marnie Simpson from Geordie Shore was really creepy. The episode with Lawrence Llewelyn Bowen was interesting and quite beautiful actually, although it would scare me if it was my house 😂

Everything I've read has said you should be polite but firm, remain sympathetic. Do not get angry. State boundaries.

I watched these on youtube before & the stories are really good! I have a feeling someone has shared a similar experience about Bank. There is also another show, Secrets of the underground which I think was on the History channel. Not paranormal but it was really spooky seeing disused stations etc
Ooh I’ll definitely check that out too!

How do you find a good one? Nobody I know has been to one so can’t recommend. Google brings up all sorts. Keen to hear any advice!

Well to add context we’ve already put in an offer (housing market is so crazy you have to after one viewing) but I know the agent so they let me go round again and film a better video for my partner as the first one was on an open house and super rushed. On the first viewing the door stayed open but this time it closed itself which makes me wonder, if it’s just a dodgy door why didn’t it the first time? I know there was an elderly couple who lived there who both died (I’m told not actually in the house) and they lived there 63 years from when it was first built. I felt fine in the house although I don’t generally have any spiritual feelings. I just really love the house and want to take care of it but if some of the things I’ve read on this thread start happening I’ll be out of there!! I mostly posted to see if anyone had any understanding on the significance of them closing the door with me inside… does that mean they want us to stay? Or they hate me and want to terrorise us 😂😂
Could you get someone to bless it before you move in? Is that a thing that is still done these days?

Mines like a dark shadow figure with an overwhelming sense of evil about it. I know it’s a male even though I can’t see them properly.

I’m probably late to the party here but I found some videos on tiktok about people asking the date and time in dreams when they’re lucid dreaming. I lucid dream quite often but not constantly. At first I was tempted to try this but when I watched more videos about people who have tried this I came across one of a lady saying not to try it as we can bring back entities from other planes. I’m so intrigued by it. Most of the videos I watched people said when they asked the date and time the atmosphere of the dream changed and some said they were told they can’t ask that here, or they didn’t get an answer. Other people said they were told the date and time but it was wrong. And they started questioning that it was wrong.
anyone here tried this? Want to try this? I’m so tempted tbh!!
Don’t see why not as they’re only dreams. Since looking at astral projection subreddits, I’ve realised many people mix up astral projection with lucid dreaming. Sounds like that’s what happening with those TikTok’s also.

There’s a motor museum somewhere or other, that I visited years ago. All fine until we got into a room full of carriages from 19 th century and maybe earlier. They were creepy as fuck. Couldn’t get out quick enough

Podcasts I love are Real Life Ghost Stories, Graveyard Tales, and Astonishing Legends (if you want really deep dives into various aspects of 'high strangeness').
Another great podcast is Morbid! I love the listener tales episodes!

I've been tempted to collect them, even though I'm scared to use the one I have. 😂 Tarot & oracle cards though, no problem. I have 15 different decks and have never been worried about using those.
I’ve always used Tarot and collect them. I only use one deck though, the same ones I’ve used for 30+ years. I just love the symbolism of them.

There’s a room in a museum in Liverpool that really creeped me out when I went! It was quite poorly lit, and I can’t explain it but I just had to get out asap!

Just been reading all of these, so many spooky stories, I love it! Does anyone listen to the Uncanny podcast? There's a few good stories on that about time slips, it's fascinating.

My story is not a ghost story as such, but about bad energy type thing... I live in a small village & I like to walk through the churchyard, I find it a beautiful and peaceful place, all the old graves are beautifully cared for, EXCEPT then in one corner, hidden under some shrubs, there's a much newer grave from the 1990s for a man, that is not looked after, just overgrown and abandoned. I just found it one day a few years ago while looking at the plants or something. And I sort of want to know why, like who was he, why is he neglected, BUT I daren't look him up, I daren't tidy the grave, I also don't dare go take another look. It's so weird how that one tiny corner is a totally different atmosphere to just a metre away.
I really enjoy the uncanny podcast. Find it very interesting.
