It can, but it won’t make your belly button look like that. That’s a hernia belly button, I have residents with belly buttons that look like that because of hernias. The belly button protrudes out like that because the hernia is either above or below it. The incision through your belly button for the lap band or gastric sleeve is almost minimal.
